Happy Holidays and Happy New Year’s! Showtime and I are finally presenting our Christmas gift to you - the long-awaited finale to the first season of Hype! Idol. We didn’t originally plan for it to air half a year after the game started, but the game had to go on hiatus due to an unfortunate lack of participation. But now we’ve got our fantastic finalists back, Shlee and JP, to perform three, spirited songs, competing to be the first Hype! Idol.

If you couldn’t already tell by the title, the theme for the finale deals with the most wonderful time of the year, the holidays! Both contestants will be singing three songs - two Christmas songs and one song of their choice that represents the new year.

Our amazing judges were excited to return to judge this merry finale. Lovely 2008 Hype! “It” Girl, AndThePickles is back with 2008 Hype! Poster of the Year, Erzengel and Should-be 2008 Hype! Batman Forums Poster of the Year and 2008 Hype! “It” Girl’s # 1 Boo, Colossal Spoons.

Oh yeah, and Bamfer’s little helper, Showtime, is back, too.

Hi everybody. I’m Buddy. I’m an Elf from the North Pole. It took me a long time to find the forums. I had to pass through the nuttiness of the Batman Forums, through the thickness of DBella’s swishy hair, and then I walked through the Mod Washroom to arrive here in Community. Good news though, I saw a DOG LIPS today. Have you seen a DOG LIPS?

I’m here because somebody needs to sing some Christmas carols. The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is signing loud for all to hear. Don’t be nervous, it's just like talking, except longer and louder, and you move your voice up and down. If you can sing alone, you sing in front of other people. There's no difference. We sing all the time! Especially when we build toys!

Now I hope that nobody here acts like an angry little elf and laughs and calls the singers names like they did to poor Rudolph. I don’t think anybody here wants to be called a fake or told they smell like beef and cheese. I know I wouldn’t appreciate being called a Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins or Son of Nutcracker.

Well, I have to go back now. Santa needs me. Showtime and Bamfer promised me we could make ginger bread houses, and eat cookie dough, and go ice skating, and maybe even hold hands. First we'll make snow angels for two hours, and then we'll snuggle.

Oh, I forgot to give you a hug. Does somebody need a hug?

Overall, Shlee obviously has a lot of talent but JP counters with creativity and ingenuity. But I'd have to give the slight edge to Shlee because she's just so good.”
