The Shield was my undisputed all-time favourite TV show until I saw The Wire. The Wire's the only other show I'd put up there. Maybe say that The Wire is the better show, but The Shield remains my personal favourite.

Dammit! I wish payday would hurry up and get here! :csad:

I plan on buying The Wire first, because it's scope and subject matter pulls me in more than The Shield. The Wire starts off as a cop show and evolves to more. I saw a few episodes of the last season, with the Sun's newsroom and loved it.

I'd heard about how amazing "The Wire" was a few years back, I'd purposely chosen not to watch it because of how good I'd heard it was and well.. I'm like that.

But it started showing 5 episodes a week over here in the UK and that late at night nothing better was on, and heck.. I found out it was just as awesome as everyone said it was.

Only into the second season though.

Then you must keep watching!

See, I really enjoyed seasons 1 and 2. I was coasting along, thinking, "Yeah, this is a damn good show." But it was Season 3 that truly raised the bar for me, I remember finishing that season, and thinking I'd just watched the single best season of any TV show, ever. Then Season 4 came along and topped it! :wow:

It's really quite simple. The Wire is the best show ever made. It's so much more than a cop show. Like Keys said, season 1 and season 2 make you think 'wow, this is pretty good', then season 3 blows your socks off. Finally, season 4 just makes you thank God for letting people make this. I thought The Sopranos was the best thing ever, but The Wire is better, not by a lot, but better.

Heck, I haven't been able to get rid of The Wire since seeing it. If you don't like Marvels, blame The Wire.

Firstly, I'd like to thank the guys that gave me awards. Spider-man9x17, I'd forgotten I'd even written that post. That's perhaps my favorite thing about playing Deadpool, re-reading old posts and making myself laugh. It really boosts my confidence as a lot of the time, I write posts that I feel are just a slog and arn't funny. Like I've outstayed my welcome as DP or something. And bkhedr, I loved writing that fight, it was just a nice light way to kick start the season for myself.

Okay, now I know I haven't done an awards post, but the truth is I've been terrible at the RPGs lately and have been far too M.I.A. to come up with a fair assessement, so I present to you

ELECTRO UK'S "WELL DONE TO YOU, SIR." POST

I'm going to start off with perhaps the most significant one. I tell you, bkhedr joined our graceful little game a few years ago, and I swear to god I have never seen a more consistent, devoted, and enthusiastic player. He has never stopped playing tirelessly, and for the best reason: he loves it. So with that said, it is awesome to see that he is finally getting the recognition he deserves. The name Thor now cannot be said without thinking of the guy that plays him so well. And who knew that his Sabretooth would actually rise to become one of the most well written villains, no characters of this Season? Take that, Liev Schefwegregw!

Next up, Spider-man9x17. This is a guy that cemented his legacy with Hawkeye a good long time ago. How he manages to think up these innovative stories and keep the character so fresh to read after all this time is beyond me? On top of that, I think he's the funniest writer this game has got, heck I think he's better handeling Deadpool than me when he bunnies him. He joined the game way back in Season 2, and I became good friends with him at that time, since then, we've never seemed to be able to keep our characters too far away from each other, until now. Deadpool/Hawkeye round 2 WILL be on.

Harlekin, if I spelt his name right, is a guy that cares. He cares about what we write, and in turn he wants to give us something special to read, like his latest MARVELS project. He's someone that useful to every RPG, because he's not interested in the Spider-man's and Wolverine's, rather the little guys that really piece the MU together. His contributions have made our game feel more than a fleshed out universe than ever, I think. Its a dimension to the RPG I never thought we'd see, and he's done an astounding job of bringing it to life.

Now onto Watchman, a guy that despite some trouble recently, has triumphantly returned to his feel good writing state that we all so enjoy. Its people like Watchman that make the RPG work, for me at least. He's not interested in 30 page epics that are up for 11 Oscars, he's interested in damn fun writing, which is what makes his stuff damn fun to read time and time again.

And of course, it wouldn't be an Electro "well done post" with mentionning the big KS. Keyser Soze, without sounding like too much of a suck up, I think we all know is pretty much the most professional, most incredible, and most twisted writer on this board. For about 5 years he has delievered time and time again, some of the best posts around. He has Joker, Two-Face, and Loki posts that quite simply blow anything else on the page out of the water. But we all know where he started. With the man that never misses. Bringing Bullseye back, almost "the difficult second album" if you will, is not something easy to do. Now, yeah, he's dropping the character now (bastard), to go on for the Kingpin, but let's remind ourselves of stuff like taking "One of those great" pisses on Karen's grave, or cutting off Dazzler's head, or the ****ing EPIC fight between him and Hawkeye. He's a writer that always always ALWAYS delievers A Grade material, and someone who SHOULD be working in the comic book industry.

The rest of you suck. :o

Epic... yeah, that's my problem. I write way too epic. I'm trying to learn to tone it down and not have one story take an entire season. That's what screwed up my last Madrox run. I had a great idea and it took too long, then I had to change it, then I ran out of time and had to wrap it up quickly. For now I want to try short stuff and just see where the story takes the character.

I haven't had any problems with your Madrox thus far this season. I have found the stories you've told to be perfectly accessible, and I enjoy your take on the character.

In my opinion, there's no problem with "epic stories" in themselves. My Harvey Dent arc in One Universe spanned 2 whole seasons, and I'm quite happy with how that turned out. I think so long as you see your idea through to its conclusion, and stick around to continually keep it moving forward, your arc can be as long as you want it to be.

Yeah Soze's right, I'm not saying those types of arcs are a bad thing, not at all. They allow for clear character development and incredible writing. Your Madrox goes to prove that.

What I mean is, sometimes, we all get a bit too hung up on it. We all try competeing for praise in the OOC so much the RPG stops dead from 1 post a week mammoths.

Yeah, good point. One of the things I've liked about this season of Marvel thus far is that - while there are still some lengthy character-developing post - there has been a clear move back towards the BOOM-BOOM-BOOM snappy back-and-forth exchanges that made the original early seasons so buzzing.

Oh I agree. My problem is that I don't really have time to devote to the long drawn out epics. I have them in mind and then start them and find myself out of time. That was the problem with the end of the Madrox run. I had a great story planned out that'd still be going but I ended up having to wrap it up because I knew I had to drop out for a while (I really don't have time to play now, but I missed it). Heck, Halloween Jack wasn't going to be the villain of the story but another pawn, and the alternate reality deal was something tacked on. I STILL haven't played the original storyline out. I may get to that eventually, or do a new take on it.

But for now, I'm doing the quick post at a time deal with Lifeguard at least through the end of the Bounty storyline. Maybe next season.

Come to think of it, I had that same problem with Shocker back in the old stuff. I had a great story, got tied up in the Thanos invasion, and never did get to tell my story because I didn't have time to get to it post Invasion. Maybe minor epics are my thing.

Eh, what do you expect. I write novels as a hobby but I can't do a short story for the life of me.

Gobby's teaming up with Doctor Octopus to take down the man behind the superhero bounty, whom they recently discovered was working with AIM (and since the Red Skull is in charge of AIM, it was a pretty natural assumption that he was the one behind it). Like he said in-character, he wants the bounty gone because he doesn't want other people to kill Spider-Man before he gets the chance, and Ock is in it so he can take all of the Skull's money for himself.

Of course, Ock can't fly, so the Goblin just went out to see the X-Men by himself.

Guys, I will unfortunaly not be back home until the morning of the 29th and aside from being quite busy here, my access to the internet is intermitent. I do not want to hold the game up though so I recommend you guys duke it out with the Red Hulk for awhile. Of course if you need to bunny Thor go ahead, but I would appreciate if we do not move towards end game without me.

Thanks and really sorry for the delay (also the delay I am causing to KS's Kingpin)

Actually, I'm the one who's sorry, bk. I'm just not feeling Kingpin. I was gonna hold onto him until we'd done our meeting, but this delay means this is probably the best time to cut my losses and drop the character. Sorry we won't be going through with our plans, but I hope at least I've set things up for you if you want to continue the story with Fisk as an NPC.

We rebooted back to post-House of M Marvel. None of the previous RPG continuity applies.

I'll whip up a quick primer on this season's events later if no one else will.

Sounds good not a prob...once I see what is going on then I might be able to find a place where Janet might be able to help out.

BTW...do I have to repost an app...if I do that's fine.

Character you would like to play: The Wasp

Powers: Ability to shrink to microscopic size and grow to gigantic size as well. However she only uses that power in extreme emergenices, and when she shrinks she sprouts wings. She also is able to fire bio-electric blasts from her wrists called "Stinger Blasts."

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I played her previously and enjoyed it

2. She is a member of The Avengers which is always a good thing/

3. She is one of the most under-rated characters in the Marvel Universe and I like playing characters like that.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: I know most of the people in this RPG so that hlpes me when playing in an arc. I have been RPGing for over 25 years.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As often as I can more when I am in an arc.

Please provide a sample post in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least 1 line of dialogue):

Janet surveys the scene in the computer warehouse. She takes a deep breath shrinks down to about six inches tall and takes flight through the maze of crates and boxes.

I know you're in here and this time you are not going to get the drop on me.

Just then Ultron steps out and fires two blasts at her says, "Greetings mother."

Janet piviots in mid-flight and feels the heat of the blasts fly over her.

She then begins firing her stinger blasts in Ultron's eyes. He has two metal plates slide over his eyes and says, "Predictable Mother I calculated you might try that attack from our last encounter."

She quickly grabs a crowbar and hits him in the neck-joint sending Ultron staggering back as the metal plates move away from the eyes.

Janet then says, "Calculate this!"

She then strikes him in the eyes as Ultron begins falling back into a sparking pile of metal and electronics.

Janet looks at Ultron and says, "By the way I am not your mother I don't think I'd be too happy if I was."

Jaent grows back to normal size and says, "Computer save program Janet05 and then begin analysis of manuvers and probabilities using the variables in Janet05 on level...10. Have the data forwarded to my lap-top in my room."

She sees scorch marks on her costume and shakes her head.

Great not only do I need a massage after spending the last two hours in the simulation room, but I also need another costume luckily I have plenty of spares.

Character you would like to play: Captain America

Powers:
Steve Rogers has no superpowers, but the Super Soldier Serum he was given in the 1940s enhanced his body to the peak levels of strength, speed, agility, stamina, reflexes, senses and endurance capable in a normal human.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I recently started reading Captain America, and am really getting into this world.

2. I didn’t click with Kingpin because I think I need someone more active. Cap could be that.

3. I already have what I feel could be a really good storyline cooked up.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG:
I can bring a wealth of RPing experience. And hopefully give Captain America a prominent presence in the game.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG:
Ideally, at least once.

Please provide a sample post in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least 1 line of dialogue):

June 6, 1944
D-Day

The young men were terrified. A lot of them were little more than children. Yet here they were, crammed into one of many barges headed for Omaha Beach. The V Corps. The sounds of gunfire drew ever closer, telling them they were almost at their destination. Soon, they would be landing at Normandy. Soon, they would be under a hail of hate and bullets, and death would be all around them. Many of them were going to die on these shores, if not most of them. And that fact was just starting to become real to them now.

A deathly silence had fallen over the ship ever since it had departed from Portsmouth, England. Unspoken dread hung over the young soldiers inside like a suffocating mist, and so many had kept their thoughts inward, some uttering silent prayers. But among those who did talk through that tense, stormy night, more often than not it was in hushed whispers, concerning the man who stood at the front of the barge, looking pensively out to sea. Amidst all these American soldiers in their dull greens and grays, he stood out like a beacon. For he was dressed in red, white and blue, the colors of their nation. They couldn’t believe he was here – and on their barge, no less – but there he was, standing perfectly still, looking out unwaveringly ahead into the night as if he could see the future ahead of him. And as frightened as they were, many of the soldiers allowed themselves to feel a glimmer of hope. They were not going into battle alone. America was with them.

Now, it was early morning, the sun only just beginning to break up the foreboding storm clouds and light up the sky around them. The waves battered the sides of the ship with less ferocity now, and an eerie calm descended over them all. One soldier threw up over his boots. No one said anything, seeing that many felt the same way themselves. But Captain America still looked on impassively ahead. Stood by his side was Bucky, his young partner. He appeared to be in his late teens – a child, like a lot of them – but there was a steely determination in his eyes that belied his years. The gunfire was getting louder. Captain America looked across at Bucky, and Bucky nodded. The Captain closed his eyes and let out a sigh, the briefest sign of human frailty. But then that was gone, and as he turned round to face the troops, shield in hand, it was the larger-than-life icon of the newsreels that stood before them, the symbol of patriotism that had been such an inspiration.

“I know that you’re scared. That’s okay, I’m scared too. We’re a long way from home, and there’s a good chance some of us will never see home again. But the truth is, you didn’t leave America when you came here. No, you brought it with you. America is more than just a big chunk of land. America is an idea. America is in the hearts of every man, woman and child who believes in all that our great nation can be. And all of you here, willing to lay down your lives and fight in the name of the freedom our country was built on… you are America. Home is right here.”

The sounds of gunfire and explosions were now accompanied by human shouts and screams. Hell was almost upon them. But in the face of the abyss, the Captain’s words raised their spirits.

“We might be afraid. But as much as anything, this is a war against fear. The forces we are up against use fear as a weapon, it is their strength. We need to show them – show the world – that we will not let fear rule our lives. Without fear, they’re nothing. I’ll see you on the beach, my friends.”

Some of the soldiers stepped forward to shake his hand, a gesture he returned with a smile. Then, Captain America drew back to his position at the front of the barge. He looked over at Bucky, patted him on the shoulder. It was a matter of minutes now. Then the front of the barge would fall forward, the bullets would be upon them, and they’d be in the warzone. Bucky looked over his shoulder at the V Corps, these young boys who had become men, and saw the fresh resolve in their features. Then he looked up at Captain America, and smiled. They were in this together.

Why doesn't Bullseye just kill everyone from afar and ge the RPG over and done with?

Electro can create protective bubbles just like Mags, what's the point of even having a fight if people just say "No this would happen"? You might as well write into Marvel about all the times Spider-man's spider-sense has been ignored etc.

All he ever seemed to do was the basic metal manipulation. I was worried that I had missed some piece of exposition earlier in the game that explained why Mags wasn't doing (or possibly couldn't do) cool s**t with electromagnetism, Earth's magnetic field, upping his physical strength, or making forcefields anymore.

If I'm not mistaken, someone else played as Scarlet Spider... posted 1 post, and then never followed up on it. At least, I think that's right.

But if you do apply, my guess is that you'd have to find a way for his return, which shouldn't be hard with the huge loophole marvel left open upon his death. He was physically beaten by Norman, then Norman shows him to Peter later on all beaten up. He then dies saving Peter's life and deteriates. Thing is, he was the perfect clone which meant he COULDN"T deteriate. So the only thing that makes sense is that Norman switched Ben for another faulty clone before presenting him to Peter. Where's he been since then? That's up to you.

I'll just be completely honest here.

I am, was, and always have been, writing movie-Magneto. In my mind I have Ian McKellen, and as my inspiration I use/d the character from the X-films, not the one from the comics. This, of course, became painfully obvious after Harl pointed out to me that Mystique and Magneto didn't know each other, after I had them acting like old friends. That's why I had him do nothing but fling around metal. That's all I really knew he could do. It's what I saw him do in the movies, and anything he didn't do there, I just forgot about or ignored.

That's why, eventually, I dropped him. That's also why I said no when Electro asked me to do this fight. That's also why I said no the next three or four times he asked. This, and I told him this, is the exact amount of commitment I can bring to Magneto. And that's why I didn't want to do this fight; because I shouldn't. I'm completely disgracing the character, and I'm sorry of this offends, completely disgracing him just thinking of ways for him not to have already beaten Electro into the ground, as almost all would agree he should have done by now.

I know I'm coming off like, quite frankly, a punk *****, and I'm sorry. But the reason I'm playing the amount of characters I am (a grand total of one in this game) is because I don't have time do pick up another. If I did, I would. So the added pressure of being begged to the point of being forced to write another one (add to that a PM where I was told I'd be kicked out of the game should I decline. It was almost definitely in jest, I know, but it still grinds the gears a bit), let alone a character I don't want to write, and do so poorly, just ****s me right up.

So. You know. Yeah.

Personally, I'm a bit fecked off. All I wanted to do was have this aweszome Magneto/Electro fight that we've never seen before, even though its been stated many a time that Electro could take Magneto on now.

All of a sudden I'm getting blamed for forcing Sensei into it, when I originally asked him back when he was playing Magneto and his response was "**** yeah". In fact, no once did he say no to me in talking it out through PMs. And I certainly didn't even ask him 3 times. I asked him once, he said yes, and then nearer the time I asked him if he was still up for it, to which he said he was busy but yes.

If you didn't wanna do it, just say so, I would have happily NPC'd or found someone else to do it. So I'm a bit annoyed I've been made to look like I'm causing you a lot of trouble here Sensei, I think you're a good RPer and I thought you were just as enthusiastic for this fight as me. If you don't want to finish it then fine, I'll finish it myself or get someone else to step in. All I wanted was to create something really cool we could both have fun with. Now I just look like I forced you into this when I totally did not.

Man, get your internet knocked out for a couple of days by a thunderstorm, and look at what happens while you're gone. We're getting a new Ben Reilly (which I'm totally for, by the way, since it gives Osborn someone new to play with), and Keyser Soze--the man known specifically for playing the most sadistic and irredeemable villains in all the RPGs--is playing Captain freakin' America?!

I need to get my internet disconnected more often. This is interesting as hell.

Would it be all-right if the wasp joined in the fray? Since this does involve 2 of the Avengers it would seem appropriate that she would be there as well.

The Mighty Thor

Screen Name: The Mighty Thor

Character you would like to play: Emma Frost

Powers: Telepathy, ability to shift into a diamond form with invulnerability and superstrength

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. The inclusion of Emma as a top-tier X-Man is my favourite modern aspect of the team.

2. She's a far more interesting character than the ordinary X-telepath Jean Grey, in my opinion.

3. From what I've read of the current X-Men plot in the story thread, it's a good time to be joining the team.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: Another X-Man to add to the list. And some half-decent posts.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: I'll try my best to post at least once per day.

Please provide a sample post in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least 1 line of dialogue):

Emma Frost stepped off the ramp of the Blackbird and glanced around, her deep blue gaze wandering across her surroundings. The place certainly didn't look like a notable supervillain's hideout, but if she had learned anything from her time spent with the X-Men (as well as the Hellfire Club), appearances were almost always deceiving. Almost casually, she cast her telepathic senses out and psychically scoured the place, simultaeously brushing across Scott's mind to infer why he had not yet disembarked from the jet.

A small frown caught her expression as she noted that he was talking to Thunderbird, but she decided to stop before going any further. The respect of others' privacy was a value that her teammates had taught her soon after her joining; it was admittedly not in her nature, but she was trying hard to adhere to it.

"Will Scott be joining us anytime soon?" Iceman grumbled impatiently.

Emma rolled her eyes melodramatically in response. "Quiet, Robert. He's talking with Neal for a moment," she told him softly. "Besides, it's hardly like punctuality has always been your strong point. Or humour, for that matter."

"It isn't my fault you don't get my jokes. Trust me, they're actually hilarious. You just need a sharp mind to appreciate them," Iceman quipped, winking mischievously at his teammate.

"I challenge you to find a sharper mind than mine," Emma shot back smoothly, quirking an eyebrow and smiling slightly. With that, she slipped through the other X-Men and paused before them all, appraising each of them in turn. Iceman, Colossus, Lifeguard, Beast, and Wolverine. A ragtag group by certain standards, but a devastatingly effective one; if anyone underestimated this band of mutants, they would be in for an unpleasant surprise. "This is as good a time as any to remind you all to keep your eyes, ears, and for any of you with enhanced senses, everything else open."

Ok, finally decided on a character to play...

Screen Name: Johnny Blaze

Character you would like to play: Magneto

Powers: The ability to control and manipulate magnetism in all it's forms, from the truly massive to the microscopic.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character: He's one of my favorite villains. I never really got a chance to cut loose with him last time. This game needs more villains.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: I can bring experience in RPing, as well as another classic villain into the fold.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as need be life permitting.

Please provide a sample post in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least 1 line of dialogue):

His sigh went unheard in the void as he gazed down upon the crystal blue ball below him.
Magneto, just outside of Earth's atmosphere, pondered his next move as he stared down at the planet below.

His planet.

I had tried to lead a better life, away from all the pain and conflict. A life with my daughter and her family. But, as always, the peace was not meant to be.

Your War, Stark, has shown me the errors of my ways. I know now that I was right. There is no middle ground. No possible way for mutant and human to co-exist together in peace. Charles' foolish dream is just that...a dream, Magneto thought to himself as he held his helmet to his side, a pained look in his eyes. A look of recognition, and, at the same time, defeat.

But now my eyes are truly opened. Now I realize it is beyond mutants and humans. Your War has shown me the truth. All meta-humans are under persecution from a world that hates and fears them.

"And as mutants are the next step in the evolutionary chain", he spoke to himself inside his magnetic bubble, "so now will my quest evolve."

"No more will it be just about mutants and humans", continued Magneto, "I see now that all super-humans require my aid."

"And so let the next step in my journey begin", he states to himself as he turns and reaches out to the stars.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards: yes

Harlekin, you should create a dead list there and how they died so we can keep up on that. There's been several requests so far, I think it'd be a good addition.

I thought I'd try shifting into first-person perspective for Captain America.

You play Cap really well. I'm enjoying all the Avengers stuff so far actually.

Hey, I say, go for it. I'd need a little help on it though. Anyone recall which people they've killed?

Also, not really my wiki, I just do a lot for it.

Ah... I see. And I'm not much help on the death toll. Unfortunately, I only have time to really read the stuff dealing with my character. Deaths in my stories:

Siena Blaze - She was forced to kill the Forgotten X-Men by the Gamesmaster on behalf of Halloween Jack, though she failed. The Bounty money was to be used toward the funding of Jack's Alternate Reality Machine. Siena resisted and shared too much information regarding this to X-Factor and the Forgotten X-Men. The Gamesmaster ended up frying her brain as a result.

Wraith (Hector Mendoza) - A depowered member of the Forgotten X-Men who was snipered by a rogue dupe of Jamie Madrox hoping to collect on the bounty.

Slipstream - A depowered member of the Forgotten X-Men and brother of Lifeguard. He was the first snipered by a rogue dupe of Jamie Madrox hoping to collect on the bounty.

MARVEL RPG SEASON VII Application For New Players

Screen Name: Optikal

Character you would like to play: Punisher

Powers: None. Weapons Specialist and Master Tactician.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I want a street level hero

2. I want to tell a story

3. And I really really really want a zigga zig aah!

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: i kan mayke a gud strry aboot heroes and vilans what will set your world on fire then a fireman will come and put it out and hulk will make love to t'challa and theyll hav lil black and green babys and will rool the world. and frank kastle will be a babysitter employed by the red skull to look after the babys and change his codename to pacifier and he'll look like vin diesel who betrays sugarman to nick fury for not winding the bays and destroying genosha. did i win?

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: Abou' tree fiddy.

Please provide a sample post in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least 1 line of dialogue):

I could still taste it.

The metallic tinge of my own blood as it trickled from smashed lips and broken teeth. The fat man hovered over me like an exitable vulture fluttering around fresh carrion. The club in his hand swung close to my face, the cool air soothing bruised flesh as it brushed over me. I thought of how long I'd been here, hands zip-tied behind my back, knees aching on the damp concrete.

But time was irrevelant now, soon the big man of the operation would be here and the .44 calibur round that poured my brain out of the back of my head would be my finality.

It's strange really, kneeling here in the middle of a deserted warehouse, waiting death to arrive. You'd have thought that my life would flash before my eyes, that I'd contemplate all the rights and wrongs in my life. I figured that I should be pondering regrets and all the other crap you hear about on TV. Fact of the matter is though, that kneeling here, bloodied and broken, on the verge of death, the only thing I could think of was the fact that I really needed a piss.

The fact that of all the people I've ever hunted down, and all the filth I've removed from society, it was these small time drug pushers that managed to get the drop on me really left a sickening feeling in my gut.

The job had been as simple as ever. A crack house. A festering pit of needle riddled scum that the law had chosen to overlook. Even when the twelve year old carrier they were using was raped and shot. I'd stormed it and taken out most of the junkies with ease, but the bum that hid in the closet suprised me with a tazer to the back of the neck.

It went black after that.

Until I awoke here.

The fat man swung the bat again, grunting when I refused to flinch at his threats. His cell rang and a few brief grunts later he flipped it closed and I knew it was only a matter of moments before that .44 smashed through my forehead. The fat man turned away from me and kicked at a lump of brick, sending a cloud of dust up into the air as it skittered across the filthy concrete.

In that moment I knew that I had one chance.

I surged to my feet and charged him, cannoning into him and knocking him to the ground. I followed through and rammed my head into the bridge of his nose, dizzying myself but managing to shatter his bones and knock him out. He hit the ground with a dull thud as a spray of his blood sprayed across my already beaten and bloody face. I clumsily fumbled my knife from my arsenal laid upon a small fold-away table, managed to reverse it and cut the ties from my hands. Quickly, I grabbed the unconciouss thug, dragged him to a dark corner and tied him up with his belt. Then grabbing my coat and my weaponry from the table I picked up the sawn-off and my desert eagle, before slipping the coat over aching shoulders.

Suddenly the doors to the warehouse swung open and a small skinny man in a vomit coloured pin-stripe suit entered, flanked by two burly guards. Both the guards dropped with a bullet to the head from the eagle before they even raised the rifles in thier hands. The small man turned and tried to run, but stumbled and fell as I blew out his kneecap. He rolled in the dirt screaming and bawling like a baby, thick sticky blood seeping through white knuckled fingers as he clutched at the destroyed knee. I strolled over to him and levelled the shotgun at his head.

"It's over DeBlaine. Time for your punishment".

"P-please don't kill me kill me Castle! I can get you money... cars... women... whatever you want..."

I thought of about three different lines to spurt, funny quips like Spider-man often offered up. The little gangster pissed himself and made no attempt to mask it as he wimpered and cried at my feet.

The police would be here soon enough, but even a hooked up small time punk like DeBlaine would be out in a few months with nothing more than a slap on the wrist and a few hundred dollars less in his bank account. Home free and back using ten year olds to run his ***** through the streets.

"I'm sorry Frank, I'll leave town, I'll get out and you'll never here from me again! Just leave me Frank, leave me here for the cops".

Lying, weasely, no-balls scum.

The worst of them all.

Tasting the blood in my mouth, I hawked and spat.

And pulled the trigger.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards:
