His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing him to hear sounds ordinary humans can't and hear those sounds which are farther away. His acute senses make him an expert tracker, able to follow a given target for extremely long distances.

Technologically, Wolverine's entire skeleton, including his claws, has been molecularly infused with adamantium, rendering it practically indestructible. Wolverine's healing factor also affects a number of his physical attributes by increasing them to superhuman levels. 2. I saw X-Men: Origins: Wolverine. And, aside from the vomit-inducing script, relatively bland villains, and butchering of Deadpool, I thought it was a good film (see what I did there?). It just goes to show that Wolverine is a character who can be hella-difficult to write and portray. Should be fun.

3. I've been in this game for two seasons, and have yet to find a character with whom I can actually stick. Am I insane or something?

Shot after shot, the vodka flowed down his throat. He was an uninteresting man, unassuming. Dogtags dangled quietly around his neck and he rubbed his knuckles quietly as the barkeep poured him another drink.

"Crazy stuff that hero bounty, huh?" The barkeep asked as the amber liquid filled the shot glass. "You'd think they'd have the decency to at least put a bounty on the heads of those goddamned crazy villains. Last thing this city needs is another Doctor Octopus or Kang the Condemner flying around."

The figure on the bar stool nodded as he downed another shot. Beneath his white t-shirt, the corner of a brown spandex shirt sat quietly wrapped around his bicep. The fingertip of a glove tucked into his waistline stuck out just above his belt. The empty glass echoed as the man sat at the bar finished yet another shot. The bottle of whiskey in the barkeep's hand is half empty as the drinker's eyes stare forward.

"You alright, fella?" The bartender asked, mistaking his customer's deep thought for a drunken stupor. The man sitting before the barkeep was named Logan, though the papers like the Bugle and the Post preferred to label him as Wolverine, the same name on his dogtags. In their eyes, he was nothing more than an animal. Three claws laid dormant in between his knuckles as Logan nudged the glass forward, ignoring the barkeep's question and watching the television as it played sports highlights.

"I think you're about done." The bartender said, reaching for the shot glass.

Logan snatched the barman's wrist and clutched it, nearly breaking the bone.

"When I said 'keep 'em coming,'" Logan snarled as a bell rang by the doorway, signaling the arrival of a new customer, "I meant it."

WHAM!

The passenger side-door of a car parked in the alleyway next to Shane's Tavern crumpled as the three hundred pound adamantium-laced skeleton and muscles of Wolverine crashed through the bar's brick wall. Still half-drunk, Logan staggered to his feet. He looked around as he pulled himself up the metal frame of the car and saw the hulking body of whomever had just hurled him through the brick wall. Immediately, he knew the scent. It was the stale, unwelcome aroma of his oldest foe. His counterbalance in the universe... the only man as much of an animal as he was.

"Creed." Logan growled as he clenched his fists. He shook his head, almost instantly relieving himself of his drunken haze as his healing factor rapidly metabolized the liquor in his system. The claws beneath his sking were eager to burst free. "If we're going to do this..."

A small untidy apartment is cluttered with highly dangerous objects, clearly the occupant has little regard for human safety.

"I resent that! I have no regard for human safety!"

As the sun rises outside the windows allow light to seep into the otherwise darkened room, apart from the aforementioned dangerous objects the space was rather sparse. One bed, a table, a phone and a poster of Bea Arthur was all that was really used to furnish the bedroom of one Wade Wilson, the Merc with the Mouth, the scarlet psychopath, the Fantabulous Deadpool.

"You forgot the Archduke of Assassination."

Wilson himself, naturally, was still asleep, his half naked body draped over the cheap bed.

"Deadpool: Putting the Homo in Homocidal!"

You're supposed to be asleep Wade. Anyway, our story begins with a simple phone call one that will send our hero on an adventure of epic proportions.

Lazily Wade swung his arm over to the phone and picked up the reciever.

"'lo Dadpul her." He said, his voice muffled as he neglected to remove his face from his pillow.

"Hello Mr. ... Wilson! I'm steve from Go-go electricals! I have the deal of a lifetime for you, now, for a limited time only we can save you up to fifty cents a day on your electric bills!"

This was, clearly, not the phone call we had planned.

"Fifty you say!?" Exclaims Deadpool sitting bolt upright in his bed. "Why good man you have just got yourself a customer!"

Zola made him pretty damn powerful earlier this season. He turn him into the Nazi Superman quite literally...ok maybe not that powerful. He has pretty high super strength, I had him break Colossus' arm, flight, eye beams, teleportation, and high durability.

Lifeguard has the ability to adapt to any given situation as needed to save a life, including her own. When in a situation that might lead to battle she armors up in a colossus type armor. She grows wings if she needs to fly. If there's something powerful hitting her, her durability will adapt to be able to take it. If something threatening is attacking her mind, it'll shut it out, she needs to travel water quickly she grows a tail... etc.

So it depends on the threat against her. However, she is also half shi'ar so there's a beastile bloodlust inside of her as well.

So what's the powers of Crossbones and Sin? All these odd powerchanges are making it hard for me to write in this battle. Don't really know what to expect or who can do what.

Tariq Al Hassa had always been a simple man. His life devoted to his wife, his young son and his small flock of goats. For weeks he had heard tales of men disappearing into the steppes and not returning. Tales of women and children being abducted by demons from the mountain. Tariq had paid the rumours little attention, certain that such creatures did not exist. Now, as he was led dragged up a narrow trail by a cloaked captor, he knew that his point of view was about to be changed.

Tariq struggled and fought to little avail. Although the man under the cloak was obviously slender, he had a strength and a presence that Tariq knew he could not resist. They came to the mouth of a small cave and his silent captor dragged the shepard to his feet.

As he was pushed forcefully into the small cave he found himself being repulsed by the stench more than anything. The cave oozed the thick, stomach-churning scent of blood and gore and death. Tariq turned and tried to run, panicked and disgusted in equal measure But the cloaked captor hit him with a hard slap across the face. Tariq felt the blow and thought he had been struck with a rock. As soon as the thought popped into his head though, he was hitting the dirt and slipping into unconciousness.

He awoke much later and found himself laid upon a stone floor, completely naked and bound with his hands behind his back. Next to him was a pit, dug into the earth and filled with blood and gore. Across the cave Tariq saw bodies piled high. Men, women, children and livestock. Decomposing and rancid. He cried out and shrank back from the pit, his heart pounding within his chest. He could make out the entrance of the cave and knew that night time had fallen, before noticing a long black cloak hung upon a near wall.

Tariq struggled to his feet and backed away from the pit, he turned and stood in front of him was a tall statue of an arab man. Stunned, Tariq gasped and stepped back. As he did so, the statue moved forward. and gripped Tariq by the shoulder. The opposite hand rose and slammed a long silver bladed dagger into Tariqs lower belly. Tariq screamed out as the dagger drew up his body, slicing clean through his breast bone. His blood and organs fell from him as he collapsed to his knees. Then he fell back, toppling into the pool of gore.

The last thing Tariq saw through the crimson murk was the statue man, looking down at him and smiling.

It had been an hour since Ozymandias had sarificed the last man. He had watched with mild interest as the light had faded from his victims eyes. Now though, he was about to initiate the final stage of his plan. From a canvas satchel he pulled forth a small glass vial, half the length of his thumb and filled to the brim with blood. He held it up in the dancing light of the torches on the wall and nodded to himself. Reverentially he moved to the pool and emptied the vial into the pool.

"Tonight, my research will prove successful and with the blood of The First, the Eternal One shall rise", he whispered to no one in particular.

Below him the pool bubbled, the techno-virus embedded within the cells of the vial setting to work. Within a few minutes the bubbling and sloshing ceased and everything went still. Ozymandias held his breath and considered risking a glance into the vat.

Before he could, the gore sloshed and parted as The Eternal One rose. Bathed in the flickering light of the torches and dripping in the blood of the innocent the figure smiled.

Ozymandias swept into a low bow, before the man. "My Lord, Apocalypse, you are returned to the living".

Apocalypse cast his gaze around his surroundings before resting it upon the stone man. "Yes my servant, But I sense great unrest. Their is much confusion in the world. The strong and the weak are merging, the future is changing, the horror is unsettling the balance. And know I awake and by my hand, the balance shall be restored".

It's been slow anyhow. The X-Men mostly finished the battle with the Skull and his henchmen save for Wolverine taking on Crossbones while the rest of them were in the blackbird but then no one's posted since, so it's been stuck for a while now. I'm probably going to go in here soon and do a Lifeguard post "1 week later" or something like that and just move on while explaining the ending of the fight. It was over anyhow.

Well, Lifeguard along with her new teammates X-Factor... and the new Captain Universe... are headed over to help out in the Symbiote invasion/Apocalypse deal. I wasn't really planning on it but thought... what the heck, could be fun.

Also, when does a season typically end? I'm just curious because I was really wanting to enter the Cosmic scene but if it's about to end then maybe I'll wait until season 2 to start it and just have this Captain Universe stuff be a prelude to it.

I was just wondering because it seems that this Apocalypse thing is the last major storyline that's been building. Seems like a good place to cut and start a new one... but again, I don't know your guys's methods on when you cut them.

Also, what are we doing with the Apocalypse/symbiote thing, given that Optikal has been incapacitated and is out of the game for a while? Do we try and wrap it up quickly, or hold off on confronting it until Op's ready to come back, so he has the chance to participate in his own story?

But seriously, I think the best plan of action would be to, for now, disregard Optikal's big set-up post with Apocalypse and his symbiotes hitting New York, act like it never happened. Anyone with posts referring to it should edit or delete. Just don't address the story for now.

It sounds drastic, but let me explain. Bkhedr says he just wants us to wrap things up quick and move on. That's fair enough, but with that mindset - "oh crap, we need to get this thing over with" - it's not going to be any fun, and could risk dragging the game to a standstill. It's probably going to end up a lot like Snapper_Carr's Gorilla Grodd story: a big villain invasion, without the villain. And look how slowly that's STILL trudging along.

Furthermore, I think it'd be more respectful of Optikal to wait and do the arc with him. He laid all the groundwork for this story, I don't think it'd be fair to then follow through with a rush-job conclusion in his absence. Hold off on the symbiote invasion, and do it right when Optikal returns. It'll be a lot more fun with Optikal involved.

The only exception to this might be Gallagher, who seems to be doing an extended solo arc linked to symbiotes. Maybe you could do a bit of editing, Gallagher, make your symbiote a one-off rather than part of an invasion, and retroactively tie it into Op's story when he comes back to pick it up?

Hype's been having problems lately. It was Database Error for me nearly all day yesterday!

Anyhow, that's fine. I can go back and edit my Lifeguard arcs just fine. And I'm actually kinda regretting having Paulie Provenzano having the Enigma Force so I may go back and edit that one a bit and have someone else with the power. I just don't like how it's working out, and since I'm editing all the posts since, I might as well do it now. Okay guys... I'm dropping Lifeguard for now and... if you don't mind... picking up my story as Jamie Madrox again. I figure that since I was already aproved and played him earlier in the season that that would be okay. I just hate filling out that stupid application.

I just feel that since I'm continuing one of his original storylines it should be his point of view. And I like writing him better than Lifeguard, though Lifeguard's story will continue to build as a secondary character as this tale continues.

So, who's got enough time/patience to explain to me what's been going on since the beginning of the season? In little words.

I can give you the parts I've participated in.


The biggest story early on is that the Red Skull had put a bounty up on the heads of most/all superheros, though no one knew it was the Skull. This turned into a superhero hunting spree resulting in several small-time deaths, including:

Dazzler (Reserected and is now a Horseman of Apocalypse)
American Eagle (Reserected and is now a Horseman of Apocalypse)
Slipstream (still dead)
Siena Blaze

There may be more but I don't remember who.

Anyhow eventually the whole thing was wrapped up when the Green Goblin teamed up with the X-Men (consisting of: Cyclops, Emma, Beast, Wolverine, and Lifeguard... with NPC's Thunderbird III, Colossus, and Iceman) and hunted the Red Skull down. The Green Goblin knew who it was and there was a pretty good throwdown between the Goblin and X-Men, and Red Skull, Crossbones, and Sin. In the end the Goblin got the Red Skull to cancel the bounty... but Goblin was then hijacked and kidnapped by the Sinister Six. That story is ongoing.

The X-Men battled more but then fled, their mission accomplished. Lifeguard has left the X-Men, the rest are currently in the Blackbird without a home to go to, or story to tell :)


My own story followed Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man. To put it quickly, there was a man out of time named Halloween Jack from the X-Men 2099 comic who had a goal to build an Alternate Reality machine and use superhuman DNA to find a link between the 616 and his alternate future. He would then hope to bring his world here and blend the two. He hired Gamesmaster to collect DNA for him and this brought in Jamie Madrox and a team of Forgotten X-Men. Eventually, Jamie and Layla Miller were captured by Sinister, learned about the DNA stuff, and found their ways to Halloween Jack. Things went bad and the machine activated and alternate realities began to pour into our world, including the Age of Apocalypse, 2099, Future Imperfect, etc. In the end Jamie Madrox stopped the machine with much help and all was well, though it's said that some of the alternate characters remained. I left that open for others to use if they want.

Jamie formed a new X-Factor consisting of himself, Layla Miller, Strong Guy, Random, and Paulie Provenzano. Lifeguard has left the X-Men and has JUST joined the team as well. And Paulie has suddenly been endued the Enigma Force and is now Captain Universe, given the task of freeing the Sentry from Sinister's clutches.

Sabretooth is a crimelord dealing in MGH (mutant growth hormone)

Bullseye, Deadpool and Punisher were all incarcerated in Rykers and attempted to kill an incarcerated Kingpin. Bullseye turned on the others though and broke Kingpin out. Deadpool and Punisher escaped.

Apocalypse was reborn and created a new four Horsemen consisting of Dazzler, American Eagle, Avalanche (all ressurected) and Sunfire. He abducted Eddie Brock and stole a strain of the venom symbiote and has genetically engineered it into an aggressive virus that he's about to unleash on New York.

Punisher and Deadpool threw down in the street before Punisher was abducted by Jigsaw.

I just updated Lifeguard's page in the wiki, as well as the Bounty entry in the main storylines page.

Someone really needs to update other ongoing stories, such as the Ifrit and such. Also, I'm wondering if the Magneto/Cable/Doom storyline can't be blended witht he Bounty plot, as it's directly dealing with the repercussions of it. I'd offer to help but I haven't had time to read these and have no idea what the heck they're about. That's also a part of why I'd like someone to update it so I can get caught up :)

While I'm not an Avengers I'm sure they'd love to have you. Vision is a great character and we're pretty open around here. There's no such thing as late :)

I awoke in an abandoned warehouse on a cold slab of metal. This is not as unfamiliar to me as it should be, but nonetheless I was intruiged. I remembered a boy; Iron Lad. I remembered dying once before and being rebuilt by the boy when he found my CPU lying around. But that is all. Someone had wiped my memory of the last few hours, days, weeks or months.

I did not feel that I should bother my erstwhile friends and comrades with my current predicament. Instead, I took to the sky and then to countries beyond the ocean. My death devastated me - one should not be able to recall the pain of being torn in half in such vivid detail. Disguising myself from the general populus, I travelled, to find some meaning again. I went far and wide, but I always made sure to keep an ever watchful eye on my old friends, to make sure they were still safe.

I found a thing on my travels. Heroes are valued, in whatever form they take. A kind stranger preventing a mugging, a close friend standing up for you, an arch enemy taking pity on you. They are noticed. They are remembered. They are loved. Maybe I took my journey to find myself again. Maybe that was wrong of me, selfish even. Maybe I should've stayed where I was, protected people there and then. Maybe I wouldn't have done such a good job without knowing. Because I do know now. I know who and what I am. I am Vision.

So what's been done with the X-Men and Nightcrawler with the RPG reboot?

Red Skull had put a bounty up on the heads of most/all superheros, though no one knew it was the Skull. This turned into a superhero hunting spree resulting in several small-time deaths, including:

Dazzler (Reserected and is now a Horseman of Apocalypse)
American Eagle (Reserected and is now a Horseman of Apocalypse)
Slipstream (still dead)
Siena Blaze

There may be more but I don't remember who.

Anyhow eventually the whole thing was wrapped up when the Green Goblin teamed up with the X-Men (consisting of: Cyclops, Emma, Beast, Wolverine, and Lifeguard... with NPC's Thunderbird III, Colossus, and Iceman) and hunted the Red Skull down. The Green Goblin knew who it was and there was a pretty good throwdown between the Goblin and X-Men, and Red Skull, Crossbones, and Sin. In the end the Goblin got the Red Skull to cancel the bounty... but Goblin was then hijacked and kidnapped by the Sinister Six. That story is ongoing.

The X-Men battled more but then fled, their mission accomplished. Lifeguard has left the X-Men, the rest are currently in the Blackbird without a home to go to, or story to tell :)

Tariq Al Hassa had always been a simple man. His life devoted to his wife, his young son and his small flock of goats. For weeks he had heard tales of men disappearing into the steppes and not returning. Tales of women and children being abducted by demons from the mountain. Tariq had paid the rumours little attention, certain that such creatures did not exist. Now, as he was led dragged up a narrow trail by a cloaked captor, he knew that his point of view was about to be changed.

Tariq struggled and fought to little avail. Although the man under the cloak was obviously slender, he had a strength and a presence that Tariq knew he could not resist. They came to the mouth of a small cave and his silent captor dragged the shepard to his feet.

As he was pushed forcefully into the small cave he found himself being repulsed by the stench more than anything. The cave oozed the thick, stomach-churning scent of blood and gore and death. Tariq turned and tried to run, panicked and disgusted in equal measure But the cloaked captor hit him with a hard slap across the face. Tariq felt the blow and thought he had been struck with a rock. As soon as the thought popped into his head though, he was hitting the dirt and slipping into unconciousness.

He awoke much later and found himself laid upon a stone floor, completely naked and bound with his hands behind his back. Next to him was a pit, dug into the earth and filled with blood and gore. Across the cave Tariq saw bodies piled high. Men, women, children and livestock. Decomposing and rancid. He cried out and shrank back from the pit, his heart pounding within his chest. He could make out the entrance of the cave and knew that night time had fallen, before noticing a long black cloak hung upon a near wall.

Tariq struggled to his feet and backed away from the pit, he turned and stood in front of him was a tall statue of an arab man. Stunned, Tariq gasped and stepped back. As he did so, the statue moved forward. and gripped Tariq by the shoulder. The opposite hand rose and slammed a long silver bladed dagger into Tariqs lower belly. Tariq screamed out as the dagger drew up his body, slicing clean through his breast bone. His blood and organs fell from him as he collapsed to his knees. Then he fell back, toppling into the pool of gore.

The last thing Tariq saw through the crimson murk was the statue man, looking down at him and smiling.

It had been an hour since Ozymandias had sarificed the last man. He had watched with mild interest as the light had faded from his victims eyes. Now though, he was about to initiate the final stage of his plan. From a canvas satchel he pulled forth a small glass vial, half the length of his thumb and filled to the brim with blood. He held it up in the dancing light of the torches on the wall and nodded to himself. Reverentially he moved to the pool and emptied the vial into the pool.

"Tonight, my research will prove successful and with the blood of The First, the Eternal One shall rise", he whispered to no one in particular.

Below him the pool bubbled, the techno-virus embedded within the cells of the vial setting to work. Within a few minutes the bubbling and sloshing ceased and everything went still. Ozymandias held his breath and considered risking a glance into the vat.

Before he could, the gore sloshed and parted as The Eternal One rose. Bathed in the flickering light of the torches and dripping in the blood of the innocent the figure smiled.

Ozymandias swept into a low bow, before the man. "My Lord, Apocalypse, you are returned to the living".

Apocalypse cast his gaze around his surroundings before resting it upon the stone man. "Yes my servant, But I sense great unrest. Their is much confusion in the world. The strong and the weak are merging, the future is changing, the horror is unsettling the balance. And know I awake and by my hand, the balance shall be restored".

Powers: He is highly trained in hand-to-hand fighting through his training as a boxer, marine, and CIA agent. He is not the conventional hero, as he will use drastic means and violence to stop criminals.

Because of his many personalities he made in his mind, Moon Knight has developed some protection against psychic assaults. When he became the Fist of Khonshu, he adopted powers derived from the moon. Moon Knight had enhanced strength, stamina, and reflexes based on the phase of the moon. He is at his strongest at a full moon as he could lift the weight of 2 tons and at normal strength when there is a no moon, where he could lift at least 450 lbs. He can also see magical being that normal humans cannot see and night vision. Moon Knight can become invisible in a shadowed area

large enough to cover him. And he has also some kind of "healing factor", his wounds are quickly healed when shined in moonlight. This no longer seems to be the case as he had rejected Khonshu from his body and Hellstorm's exorcism of the moon god. After suffering a crippling incident, he has had to rebuild his body back to form. He is also an expert at throwing weapons especially his trademark crescent darts that he also use to carve his enemies' face off as what he did to Taskmaster and Bushman. At one point, he was given ancient Egyptian weapons by the followers of Khonshu but later retires these items to be replaced to more updated weapons.

The shady little bar could hardly hold fifty people. From the outside, you knew you were in the projects. Men came in and out, and so did their prostitute companions. From above, on the roof, Moon Knight watched in disgust. He was waiting for his buddies from the fight to come rushing home. He knew that this was where Bushman had used to work. It was also very possible for Bushman to still be there. Time would tell, not thoughts, and Moon Knight knew that.

A gangster wearing a dark blue bandanna suddenly came rushing down the sidewalk. He pushed past several hookers and stumbled to the ground before he could reach the door. When he got to his knees, two men in black suits wearing sunglasses exited the bar and picked the man up. He struggled and sputtered, trying to explain his situation. Moon Knight watched intuitively. He had never seen such sharp-dressed men working this far into the projects. Unless they were undercover police officers, which was highly doubtful, they looked awfully suspicious.

Moon Knight squinted and tried to stretch his hearing range to find out what was happening. The man claimed that a masked person had beaten everyone up, and that both the money and the drugs were lost. The guards looked at each other. One took a peek back inside the bar. Odd. He then nodded and the duo dragged the punk to the alleyway. The victim tried to scream, but a hand clamped over his mouth. The other guard proceeded to put on leather gloves and then pull a silenced handgun from his jacket.

The guard aimed at the man’s head, only inches away. Beads of sweat started to roll as the man watched the gun. It moved up and down slowly as the guard enjoyed his taunting. The guard then enjoyed a foot striking him in the temple and knocking him against the wall of the alleyway. The other guard looked in amazement and let the man go, reaching for the gun in his own jacket.

Moon Knight spun and clobbered the guard’s hands with the balls of his feet. He whimpered and rolled to his side. Moon Knight ripped open his jacket and took the weapon, emptying the ammo on the wet and slimy cement. He then proceeded to fling the gun towards the street. The revolver bounced on the pavement and shot straight into a sewer grate.

"What do you want?!" The man screamed, backing away.

"Vengeance" Moon Knight growled.

The banks of the Agean.

A long time ago.

Ares leapt from the boat into the frothing water below. The Hydras were dead and the seas were safe for passage once more. Marching up the beach, Ares found a spot away from his men and sat down atop a small cluster of rocks. His weaponry and armour was stained in the blood of the demons so he romeved his cloaked and wiped the blades slowly, almost reverentially.

Ares looked upon his men milling around, carrying their dead, singing victory songs and building funeral pyres. Tonight would be a night of celebration and loss in honour of the men who gave their lives. Songs would be sung,much ale would be consumed and Ares would find himself a woman or two to retire with long before his men had given up their merriments.

"Lord Ares?"

Ares turned to see the handsome young features of Hermes, messenger of Zeus, God of Commerce and Ares' half-brother. Ares stared at his brother and said nothing.

"It is good to see you brother, I take it your mission went well?"

Ares rose to his full height and swept a hand out towards his men on the beach below. "Look at them Hermes. I lost many good men today. They are warriors... the best warriors Greece has ever seen and almost half of them lost their lives to the Gods' folly."

Ares frowned and dug both axe and sword into the sand at his feet. "Why are you here Hermes?"

"The Lord Zeus requests your presence immediately."

"Zeus can wait. I have men to bury."

"But Ares, He needs to see you now".

Ares stepped forward and loomed ominously over his brother. "Tonight I spend with my men. If Zeus is in such a rush to see me then he can find me upon this acursed shore, honouring my fallen war-bound. Otherwise he can wait".

Hermes stepped back and shook his head. "You are such a strange creature Ares. You crave to be accepted into the busom of Olympus and yet when called upon, you treat us with such dispassion. I shall tell Father Zeus of your decision but you know he will not be pleased".

Ares turned and wrenched his blades from the ground, placing both upon his back. "Yeah, I know."

Hermes stood and watched the God of War as he marched back into the mass of warriors below.

The last I knew, Sabes was heading up MGH distribution and the Avengers were fighting the Ifrit

K well the Avengers beat the Ifrit. Basically Loki tricked Cthon into thinking she was on his side and by doing so, tricked Chthon into absorbing Thunderstrike into his being.

Though this effectively kills Thunderstrike his noble spirit, aided by Loki's magic, actually weakens the Elder God somewhat allowing Thor to eke out a victory against him with Loki's help (thor, Loki, thunderstrike, the the three champions Odin had chosen for the task succeed and accomplish the plan he hatched and set into motion prior to his death)

Thor then leaves to see Doctor Strange and return the Darkhold to him as well as ask him for help in arranging a meeting with the Living Tribunal. Strange reluctantly agrees and Thor confronts the Tribunal claiming that Thunderstrike's death should not have happened because Chthon should not have risen. The Tribunal counters by saying that it is the Gods who should not have risen and in any case there is no cosmic imbalance and the LT will not act.

But he does tell Thor that he can bring peace to Thunderstrike by resoring Asgard, Hel, and Valhallah. He then gives him a Norn Stone (he will need all nine to resore the lands of the gods) and sends him back to Earth. Thor decides he will resore Asgard but first he goes to meet Kevin Masterson to tell him that his father loved him and died a hero. He finds Kevin protecting a child from some ruffians and is so impressed that he imbues Kevin with the power of his father's hammer, making him the new Thunderstrike. In a fun little twist the whole exchange is witnessed by the kid that Kevin protected, thus giving him a whole new problem to worry about in terms of a secret identity.

In the meantime Hawkeye announces the team will rebuild Avengers mansion and move back in. Later he and Loki go on a quest to recover one of the norn stones (healing stone) as Loki has convinced Hawkeye that he must retrieve it to save Cap's life (Cap is dying for some reason)

As for Cap, he and the other Avengers are fighting giant robots in Japan (Seriously)

Since they're busy Thor answers the Avengers priority call and is asked by the Government to go into orbit and determine why the ISS has gone dark (see my last three Thor posts).

As for Sabretooth, well his gang was loosing the gang war with Fisk so he changed strategies, sending all his crew, his lieutenants, and his whole operation to Northern Ontario where they can continue to do business without Fisk's interference.

As for Creed, he stayed in NY and has been running a one man war against Fisk that is now coming to a head as Creed managed to raid the apartment of Fisk's accountant and steal some very sensitive information. MARVEL RPG SEASON VII Application For New Players

Screen Name: Batman

Character you would like to play: Daredevil - The Man Without Fear

Powers: Superhuman senses stemming from a childhood accident-turned-metamorphosis, leaving him permanently blind, but with an inner radar sense that allows him to "see" the world around him better than most. Trained as a boy by the leader of the martial arts cult, The Chaste, Daredevil is also an expert fighter and accomplished acrobat.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. Recently, my interest in RPG's has begun to wane, and I believe it's because I haven't allowed myself to branch out and play a variety of characters. You can only play Batman so many times before you crave a little something different - and Daredevil is that, while not so different from what I'm used to that it lets me squeeze into the game with ease.

2. During my original run with the character in the last RPG, I got to do alot to develop Matt, but never enough. While I do love the street based noir that the character provides, I also find his ninja origins to be intriguing. So I want to to try and make the two world's clash, bringing about a level of insanity that even he isn't ready for.

3. I've said it before. Daredevil is one of my favorite comic book characters. He's both straightforward and complex, while being both dark and heroic. He's superpowerful, while retaining an abnormal sense of humanity. He has the best two qualities of every superhero story you could possibly think of.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: I've been a Daredevil fan since I was 13, so I have a pretty good knowledge of his mythology to bring to the table. What I bring to the game is yet to be seen, but I want to try to shoot for the "good story" goal this time around.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: Posting every day would be a little extreme, but I definitely want to post every week. I hope by getting this character that I'll be able to build myself into a repetition of posting for all of my games, slowly building it into a regularity.

Please provide a sample post in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least 1 line of dialogue):

I used to remember what it felt like to enjoy myself.

The tapping of the rain against my skin before it even hits - the coolness of it's drop on my face. The sensation it used to bring me was exhilarating. The movement over the rooftops, clashing with it every step of the way was one of the few times I'd get to forget about the grave nature of what I was doing every night. For just one second, in this abysmal existence -- I'd feel alive.

But I feel nothing now.

A few months ago today, I encountered a supernatural entity calling himself a vigilante. Cloak, along with his partner Dagger, were forces to be reckoned with for both the living and the dead alike. I had heard of them many times, though never given the chance to work with them. So when I found Cloak in the state that he was in, having lost his partner when Dagger was killed as apart of that 'Superhuman Bounty' from a week back, I expected him to need my help. What I didn't expect was the fight that broke out. And while I was able to hold my own for as long as I could, the fight didn't really end well. Cloak was restored to normal, sure, but I had a pressing matter to attend to - once he shattered my billy club's line, I was trapped in his world. A world of perpetual darkness. And even more startlingly... a world I was more than used to.

It was my father that taught me not to be afraid. To never back down, even in the face of adversity. It got me through a grueling childhood, it got me through my sudden blindness... even through the later years. When I lost him to The Fixer. When I lost Elektra. Karen. Everything. Through every single wrenching moment in my life, I would remember my father's philosophy. To be a man without fear. But how can I be that when I'm left with nothing but the darkness?

Even after I escaped, I found myself asking it every day. I found out that I had spent a month subdued within the confines of what can only be described as... nothing. It was almost like I was dead, but worse. My subconscious still remained, and I was left without a single soul to feel. To hear. To touch, or smell. My own personal hell to deal with, when I had far too much to deal with already. Being there, being trapped in that shell of darkness, I had nothing left to do but seek, hope, and pray for escape. Nothing except reflect. To face the unfacable moments in my life, and decide for myself what they really meant to me. About where my life had been going ever since I put those years behind me.

I didn't like the answer.

So now I wait. Drifting amongst a restored world of sounds and smells, hearing the voices and pulses of living beings once again. I wait, and pray, for an answer to the questions I brought back with me. The defining mysteries of my very own existence. I've always tried to be the man without fear, ignoring the fact that I've always had one - the day that I'd have to ask myself this.

Who is Matt Murdock?

Who is Daredevil?

Am I both, neither, one or the other?

How do I choose what is right, anymore?

How do I choose what is wrong?

"How do I keep doing this?", I ask the city's skies. "How do I live with myself?"

According to my friends and loved ones... of the few that remain, at least, I'm going through a difficult time in my life. And to some degree, I suspect they're right. The experiences I've faced have changed me. I just haven't been the same since that month. And unfortunately, I don't know what I'm supposed to tell them. This is a time where I have to face the reality, and stop living in delusion. The Kingpin still lives and operates, even though I have every reason to kill him. After all that he's done to torment me and make my life impossible to bear, do I even have a reason not to? Did I ever?

The rain's passed. It's dawn. And I'm left to return home before my day in court begins. Throwing out a line, I leap off of the ledge and into the air, letting gravity take me the rest of the way. Whether it decides to let me fall or hoist me up is it's decision.

Because frankly, I don't know what I want anymore.
