I agree, somewhat. Maybe as 1.5 characters, they could be taken together or apart.

However, you wouldn't want to set a bad precedence though. If they were allowed as "one" dual character, what's to stop someone from picking up other duos as "one"? Characters like Styx and Stone would work like this (hmm... *files that one away for later*), but Batman and Robin wouldn't.

Honestly, Harley? Yes, you should have. While it is always important to remember that we're playing a game, we also pride ourselves on in-character portrayals. In this particular case, just reading Silver Sable's wikipedia page would suffice. If you had done so, you would find that Silver Sable is not just a mercenary, but also hunter of war criminals, mostly Nazi's. What are the Red Skull and Sin? Nazi's. Research, even on NPC's, enriches your story.

Again, I'm speaking truthfully here, but I think you should seriously consider a reboot of your storyline. Get a grasp on your characters and especially on your NPC's. Your use of Maria Hill, Lady Bullseye and White Tiger (who, while currently controlled by the Hand, is in fact a hero) seem to conflict with their depictions in the comics, which, while not necessarily a bad thing, doesn't seem to be working very well.

Similarly, your Sharon Carter seems directionless. While I have no doubt that the affair you have started between her and another agent is part of some greater plot, it flies in the face of her great love for Captain America. If she is being mind-controlled or whatever, my apologies. However, right now, it rings completely false of her character.

As it stands, I think it would be a good idea to start over and concentrate on a single character arc (meaning little to no NPC's) for both Sin and Sharon. Once you've come to grips with those two, start branching out. I understand from most of your RPG posts that you have an affinity for bringing in NPC characters, but perhaps focussing on just your character will bring out a different and better result.

Finally, you can take all of this advice or ignore it, but I'd just like to stress once more: research.

For that matter, I'm dropping Taskmaster and applying for:

Character you would like to play: Batroc the Leaper (Georges Batroc)
Powers and abilities: Unpowered, Batroc is a master in the art of the French kick-boxing style Savate and one of the most fearsome fighters on the planet.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:
1. Batroc is generally considered to be one of the funnier and also one of the more pathetic C-list villains, but he is also a man of honour and immense skill.
2. His character is adaptable to many of the street-level heroes, from Captain America to Hawkeye to Daredevil or to Spider-Man.
3. Ze ist Batroc ze Leapair!

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: A Frenchmen with some really weird speech patterns and hopefully a good villain to fight against. Besides that, I have some experience in these here RPG's, so I should be able to manage myself without mucking up the game.

There are no friends or allies in The Bar With No Name, just drinking buddies.

Such was the case with Batroc the Leaper and his two frequent allies, Zaran the Weapons Master and Machete, all of them dressed in civilian clothes and nursing a glass of beer. Usually, the French mercenary considered the drink much too plain, the drink of the prolétariat. But you didn't drink wine in a bar and especially not in The Bar With No Name. Besides, beer seemed to fit the depressed mood of the table much better than any other drink, except maybe scotch.

"All the decent jobs have been taken," Machete lamented. Over the edge of his glass, he looked over to the villain Boomerang, sitting at the table just to the side of them and he was throwing around money.
Batroc echoed the statement. "Ze credit crunch, it even affects our jobs."
Zaran stayed silent and even pouted a little.

After a few minutes, the mercenaries called for a new round and Machete once more started a small rant. Zaran had long since zoned out, fixated on only his drink. Batroc listened intently for some time, before his concentration started to waver.

Batroc was shook out of his reverie by the sudden forceful opening of the front door and all eyes in the bar turned, except Machete, who kept talking. Standing in the door opening was Titania, completely drenched. Stepping aside, she took a handful of hair and wrung it dry. Everybody kept looking at her.

Throughout the bar, men and women whispered to another as Titania strode forward.

"--heard she broke up with Creel--"
"--still don't wanna mess with that--"

Batroc, for his part, suddenly found himself reinvigorated.

Beside him, Machete droned on.

"Oui, oui," Batroc said as he rose from his seat. Having someone finally respond to him shocked Machete so much that he actually stopped talking.

"Can I offer the madame a drink?" the Leaper asked as he sauntered over to the bar and, leaning against it, gave Titania the once-over with his eyes. He was smiling.
"That, and more if you play your cards right, frog," Titania responded, a slight twinkle in her eyes.
Batroc kept the smile despite the insult and raised his hand to catch the bartender's attention.

Titania grinned and almost unconciously, the Leaper started to twirl his moustache.

I don't think you should feel discouraged from playing altogether. You're new to the game, and it's only through experience we learn from any mistakes and get better. Perhaps you'd be better served picking a character who can work with other players, rather than being in a position where you're off stranded doing your own thing and having to build your own story from scratch? Working solo can be a challenge for any player, especially a new one.

Perhaps you'd be better served picking a character who can work with other players, rather than being in a position where you're off stranded doing your own thing and having to build your own story from scratch? Working solo can be a challenge for any player, especially a new one.

I was thinking about that, and I'll change of Byrd wants, but I was thinking that, Peter Parker, being the lovable neurotic roller coaster ride that he is, would crack under the pressure (much like he did in House of M), and back out, thus explaining the New Avengers demise, but since then has had a chance to think things over. I mean, how many times has the guy given up the costume for good only to put it back on 5 minutes later. It's just a bit of back story to help explain where the New Avengers went so we can explain why we need New Avengers, and also explain what Hawkeye's been doing to this point.

It's just a bit of back story to help explain where the New Avengers went so we can explain why we need New Avengers, and also explain what Hawkeye's been doing to this point.

I could still taste it.

The metallic tinge of my own blood as it trickled from smashed lips and broken teeth. The fat man hovered over me like an exitable vulture fluttering around fresh carrion. The club in his hand swung close to my face, the cool air soothing bruised flesh as it brushed over me. I thought of how long I'd been here, hands zip-tied behind my back, knees aching on the damp concrete.

But time was irrevelant now, soon the big man of the operation would be here and the .44 calibur round that poured my brain out of the back of my head would be my finality.

It's strange really, kneeling here in the middle of a deserted warehouse, waiting death to arrive. You'd have thought that my life would flash before my eyes, that I'd contemplate all the rights and wrongs in my life. I figured that I should be pondering regrets and all the other crap you hear about on TV. Fact of the matter is though, that kneeling here, bloodied and broken, on the verge of death, the only thing I could think of was the fact that I really needed a piss.

The fact that of all the people I've ever hunted down, and all the filth I've removed from society, it was these small time drug pushers that managed to get the drop on me really left a sickening feeling in my gut.

The job had been as simple as ever. A crack house. A festering pit of needle riddled scum that the law had chosen to overlook. Even when the twelve year old carrier they were using was raped and shot. I'd stormed it and taken out most of the junkies with ease, but the bum that hid in the closet suprised me with a tazer to the back of the neck.

It went black after that.

Until I awoke here.

The fat man swung the bat again, grunting when I refused to flinch at his threats. His cell rang and a few brief grunts later he flipped it closed and I knew it was only a matter of moments before that .44 smashed through my forehead. The fat man turned away from me and kicked at a lump of brick, sending a cloud of dust up into the air as it skittered across the filthy concrete.

In that moment I knew that I had one chance.

I surged to my feet and charged him, cannoning into him and knocking him to the ground. I followed through and rammed my head into the bridge of his nose, dizzying myself but managing to shatter his bones and knock him out. He hit the ground with a dull thud as a spray of his blood sprayed across my already beaten and bloody face. I clumsily fumbled my knife from my arsenal laid upon a small fold-away table, managed to reverse it and cut the ties from my hands. Quickly, I grabbed the unconciouss thug, dragged him to a dark corner and tied him up with his belt. Then grabbing my coat and my weaponry from the table I picked up the sawn-off and my desert eagle, before slipping the coat over aching shoulders.

Suddenly the doors to the warehouse swung open and a small skinny man in a vomit coloured pin-stripe suit entered, flanked by two burly guards. Both the guards dropped with a bullet to the head from the eagle before they even raised the rifles in thier hands. The small man turned and tried to run, but stumbled and fell as I blew out his kneecap. He rolled in the dirt screaming and bawling like a baby, thick sticky blood seeping through white knuckled fingers as he clutched at the destroyed knee. I strolled over to him and levelled the shotgun at his head.

"It's over DeBlaine. Time for your punishment".

"P-please don't kill me kill me Castle! I can get you money... cars... women... whatever you want..."

I thought of about three different lines to spurt, funny quips like Spider-man often offered up. The little gangster pissed himself and made no attempt to mask it as he wimpered and cried at my feet.

The police would be here soon enough, but even a hooked up small time punk like DeBlaine would be out in a few months with nothing more than a slap on the wrist and a few hundred dollars less in his bank account. Home free and back using ten year olds to run his ***** through the streets.

"I'm sorry Frank, I'll leave town, I'll get out and you'll never here from me again! Just leave me Frank, leave me here for the cops".

Lying, weasely, no-balls scum.

The worst of them all.

Tasting the blood in my mouth, I hawked and spat.

And pulled the trigger.

The Swordsman has mobilized his father's Hydra empire, who are attacking the Avengers and have unleashed the Abomination. Meanwhile, the Black Panthers half brother is perhaps secretly dealing with Angel behind the Avenger's backs, plotting against the team maybe? And we've been a team...game time wise...less than a day...?

I briefly had the hulk for a few posts. Ross caught him at Bettys home and tried to capture him to protect the governments 'investment' in him from the bounty hunters arc.

Hulk escaped and fought Mammomax in Times Square, defeating the mutant by ripping his tusks off and beating him half to death. Hulk then fled the scene and that's where I left him.

Hey guys. I hope you guys don't mind the soliciting, but as a former Marvel RPG participant I thought it'd be okay. We're starting up a 3rd season of the Contest Of Marvels and are looking for some people willing to give it a go. If you've played any in the first 2 seasons then you know the drill, if you haven't, just know it's a blast. I won't take up the rpg thread explaining it, but if you're interested feel free to PM me, or go to the following link. We're hoping for at least 15 participants but can make due with 10. We hope for higher than either of those though. It's fun but takes quite a bit of time and debate. And there may or may not be comic prizes. I'll have to discuss it with my co-host. We had them the first two times around, but no promises.
