In The Dark Knight, I have watched this film many many times. But I have noticed some things never get old to me. No matter how many times I watch it or experience it. I will name a couple to start things off, and see if you have some of your own.

- The entire Joker/Rachel taunt with the camera swirling around and the way Heath played it. I love how Rachel looks away and eventually looks back. The Academy if they do an Oscar reel, should use this particular sequence from Heath IMO. Just perfect. I also love how when he first grabs her face saying "Look at me" he also seems to still be finishing chewing that olive from the martini a minute earlier.

- The "You have no idea" line from Alfred after Harvey asks about psychotic ex-boyfriends. I love Harvey's expression too after he hears that from Alfred. I know that line is in the trailer but I still laugh out loud (lol for real) every time I watch it. Such an understatement. ;p It always reminds me of Bale in BB when he said "a guy who dresses up like a bat clearly has issues".

- The fact that they chose to include showing the coin land after Batman attacks Harvey (and ultimately kills him, breaking his one rule like Joker predicted). It landed on heads. Gordon's son would have been spared Dent's bullet after that last toss of the coin. I just like that verification.

Joker laughing while falling near the end, at the construction site. It always sends shivers down my spine.

The entire interrogation scene. First, with Gordon, then with Batman. If ayone needs proof that Heath Ledger deserves at least one award for his performance in TDK, look no further than this scene.

Not true. We have no way of knowing whether or not the coin would have been heads. You're forgetting that Two-Face catches the coin about half way during it's decent and then traditionally flips it over onto the back of his hand.

there's one thing that gets me E-VE-RY TIME , that's to say the tension building up when Joker is about to crash the party, when Gordon sees Loeb dying and Rachel and Harvey are talking........such a wonderful score there, really helping the greatness of the scene !:applaud

Same here too! That shot of him running in front of us, with the heavy drum beats, that's when I start to sweat and I go all tingly and I get massive chills. Then I tear up because I've never heard anything so beautiful describing the character.

I would like to add 3 more things that never get old to me.

- The way that Alfred jokes about "myself and the scum of Gotham's underbelly". He then smiles genuinely at Bruce and I remember they are really great pals, both totally comfortable with their lives.

- Joker using the hygienic hand cleanser in the hospital while licking his lips and being himself while alone.

- The SWAT vehicle being forced out onto the water. Wonderfully edited, it is like a ball being tossed onto a pond. Easy, simply, effortless, weightless.

- OK, one more. "Our boy looks good on the tube!" "Are you sure you wanna embarrass me in front of my friends, lieutenant?" "Oh, don't worry. They're coming too." WIN

For me, the chills start when Gordon is seen giving the eulogy(?) for Dent. I found Batman's speech about the truth not being good enough to be really moving, even more so than Gordon's speech. I choked up a bit when I saw it in the theater.

I also like how Joker says "Who did YOU leave him with?", just emphasizing and spelling out that Gordons own people are corrupt and on the wrong side. Joker knew it all. Gordon was blind, either willingly or ignorant. He had to do the best with what he had.

Dent was "left with" Wuertz and Ramirez.

To be honest, that whole damn ending, from Gordon and Batman talking about the dead Dent to the end of the film gets me choked up. The fact that someone taking the blame for someone's else wrongdoings is a true hero. It's not saving someone from a building or a hostage or whatever demonastrated here. It's the will to act.

The entire opening scene, from the silent WB logo to the 'tapping strings' to the outward blast of glass from the skyscraper. I can watch that whole bank robbery scene and never, ever get bored. It has to be one of the best opening scenes/bank robbery scenes ever filmed.

I also love the interrogation scene. Reminds me a little of Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now at first.

After watching it probably over 50 times I have to admit some scenes do drag for me now. I sometimes just find myself putting it on just to watch all of Joker's scenes. I'll never get bored of the Joker.

The very final scene that he is in, hanging upside down as the camera turns round is just so chilling and visceral. EPIC.

Having watched it so many times I tend to find it's the non-Joker stuff that now holds my interest more as I was less focused on that the first time.

In fact probably my favorite scene is Batman dropping Maroni, it just sums up so simply why he's nothing like Spidey or Supes.

-The opening bank robbery scene.
-Batman's introduction.
-Joker's introduction with the mob.
-Joker telling Rachel how he got his scars.
-The interrogation scene and the scenes after that with Harvey and Rachel.
-Joker and Dent in the hospital.
-Joker's final speech.
-Dent's final scene.
-"He's a silent guardian... a watchful protector... a dark knight."

Basically, the whole movie never gets old for me, but these are the scenes that I look forward to the most.

This film never gets old for me. Rather than mentioning some already said here's a few of my own.

-The scene where Alfred tells Bruce the story about Burma. Such a wonderful scene and score was perfect.

-Dent "interrogating" Thomas Schiff :)

-The Hong Kong/Skyhook scene

-The rooftop meeting between Dent, Gordon and Batman

-Batman at Gordon's house when Stephens gives Barbara the "bad news" about Jim.

-The Tumbler/Batpod eject sequence. "Goodbye!" :)

-The "Better class of criminal" scene with the Joker and Chechen.

-The Batsignal lights the night with the score of "I'm Not A Hero" The ultimate Batman's Back! Scene.

-The Brian Douglas hostage video.

Yeah, that line is a pretty good summation of the Joker. Also the part where he's laughing his tail off as he falls from the building at the end. Perfect characterization.

I would have to say that the main thing that never gets "old" in this movie is Ledger's Joker. Every scene he's in is electrifying. The other thing that never gets old is the ending. Gives me chills every time.

Yup. Just like Ducard/ Ra's said. "Training is nothing! The will is everything! The will to act."

A favorite of mine is The Jokers threat to Batman that was reported on GCN. "LOOK AT ME!" It was so much fun to watch the crowd (the theater audience) go quiet at this point every time.

Also, after The Joker's attempt to kill the Mayor, when Dent is headed toward Schiff in the Ambulance and a shot goes off and everyone ducks. I just think that was an awesome touch!

That scene to me is so iconic. I watch just that sequence alone over and over since I bought the dvd. That sequence to me establishes that this movie isn't a typical comic book movie but a CRIME DRAMA.

There are so many amazing moments in this movie but if I had to pick just one it would be the 'Hit meh!' scene. I'm awestruck every time I see the Batpod sliding past the Joker (and I've lost count of the number of times I've seen TDK now lol.) It's just iconic. I remember seeing it in the second trailer and being utterly blown away.

Definitely the bat-pod ejection with the badass music cue, the audience in the theater cheered at that moment.

When the Joker visits Harvey at the hospital and said "Hiiiiiii..."

Batman vs. Squat team near the end.

The guard with the sad face after the detonator was thrown out of the window...it makes me giggle for some reason.

Like other said, Gordon's speech at the end.

Not much has gotten old so far. But I'll list scenes that are still awesome:

1) The pencil trick scene
2) The fake Batman hits the window scene
3) The Joker/fake Batman video (as chilling as it gets)
4) The judge/Loeb/Dent attacks leading to the Joker's elevator appearance.
5) The Joker tells Rachel how he got those scars (a hint of emotion from Joker?)
6) The interrogation scene (most important scene in the film?)
7) The Rachel/Dent rescue attempt sequence
8) Dent turns over coin to see damaged side, freaks out
9) First shot of Two Face
10) The finale into "The Dark Knight"

And Batman's hostage rescue towards the end just keeps getting better with more viewings. In a dark theater...with the fast moving action, I wasn't always sure what I was looking at during the big fight sequences. But the more I see it, the more I notice the moves and the Herculean efforts by Batman to fend off the SWAT team.

The stuff I find myself watching WAY too often:

Interrogation scene, the whole thing starting with Gordon walking in.

Slaughter truck chase. The sound design, and lack of music until the batpod ejection, is just SO great.

Joker paying Dent a visit in the hospital, to him blowing up the whole shebang.

Last 2 minutes. Even though Wall-E and Slumdog Millionaire are better films according to a lot of critics, TDK has a far better ending than both of them, so that's why the movie has stuck with me longer. I thought the best parts of Wall-E and Slumdog Millionaire took place in the first halves. :oldrazz:
