Easily one of my new fav shows. Always makes me crazy hungry though :D

I like it too. I've been to the Vortex Bar and Grill in Atlanta and had the Double Bypass Burger. Never finished it, but what I could eat of it was really good.

I love the shows on The Travel Channel and this is definitely one of my favorites because the eateries host, Adam Richmond, frequents are fantastically outrageous! Those food challenges! OMG!!! :wow:

I always wondered how Adam maintains an "okay" on his health and found a good interview he did with Bizarre Food's Adam Zimmern that explains it here (http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Man_v_Food/ci.Interview_With_Adam_Richman.show?vgnextfmt=show ).

I just love Adam. He's so cool and fun. There's no way I could eat those portions or even some of the food but some look fresh and I could go for a sample portion fer sure.:cool:

Colossal Spoons

Yeah, Adam's the coolest food-related host since Alton Brown :o:up:

Yeah, Adam's the coolest food-related host since Alton Brown :o:up:

My cable is so bare bones I don't get Food Network. :csad: But I do catch Alton's show at my folk's place very now and then.

Were you watching the Man vs. Food marathon last night? Can't wait to see the new epi with the oysters. :wow::woot:

Sweet!

Oh dude, I would so love to visit Salt Lick BBQ (http://www.saltlickbbq.com/) in Driftwood, TX. So quality. Besides the brisket, I'd love to sink my teeth into that fresh wood-grilled sausage. So hard to find fresh sausage now-a-days. Bet it does "melt in the mouth" like Adam said about the brisket.

Colossal Spoons
01-27-2009, 09:58 PM
I've never had brisket, but after that episode I need to try it.

To be honest, I'm pretty much a novice beef eater in general. Steak and hamburgers and all the typical cuts of beef are all I have experience w/.

I've had brisket. Just not from Salt Lick. :oldrazz:

I was craving it so bad I went to a good Chinese restaurant and ate some delicious noodle soup with brisket in it. It was extra good because it's been so damn cold today. *brrrr*

Come to Texas...I will cook you some brisket.

You cook brisket! *does happy dance* Thanks man.

Now if Air Force One could give me a lift to Texas...

The best parts of the show are the chicks that sometimes come and give him support mid-challenge and the "press conference" during the end credits :D

I've just seen this show today. It was great! The host is very funny and makes the show very entertaining. But man this show makes me so hungry.

The only two shows I've seen are The Indian Curry one and the Don Juan taco episodes.

I thought he's be able finish the don juan

HHAHAHAHA so damn funny when he wiped his face with that towel and got that phall stuff all in his eyes!! I love this show though its funny as hell I bloved the ep where he did the atomic hot wings challenge and made him look like he was crying.

Colossal Spoons
01-29-2009, 11:45 AM
Some of those wing sauces looked effing delicious

Metamorpho1977
01-29-2009, 02:19 PM
I had some hot wings like that one time. They made me sign a waiver that I wouldn't sue them if something happened. I sat down, said to myself, "how hot can they be?" So, I just started chowing, went through like 4 of them real fast. Then I stood up. And all of a sudden, it felt like Mike Tyson, bare knuckle fist punched me right square in the chest and had me doubled over.

Colossal Spoons
01-29-2009, 03:23 PM
I can't even imagine what heat like that feels like. If the goal is to eat 6, I'd imagine speed would be the key to completing it.

Metamorpho1977
01-29-2009, 03:43 PM
I had to stop at 4. I was in serious pain. I drank a gallon and a half of milk before it stopped hurting.

Watched about episodes and I really love the show. Adam is very fun, good host and the food looks great.

I was in amazement that he ate 95% of the 12 egg omelet and just couldn't eat the last 3 bites. The pizza and burger challenges are my favorite. I'm not much of a crazy eater so most of the other stuff I wouldn't try.

Colossal Spoons
02-22-2009, 05:29 PM
Yeah, he was sooo close w/ the omelet lol.

I got a question for someone who might've watched this more than me. have they aired the show where he goes to Memphis? I been wanting to go there to try to eat that Burger we see on the previews. I know I have 0 chance but I'm going to be very happy to pay $20 just to see a burger that size.

Colossal Spoons
02-22-2009, 10:16 PM

DarbyD53

I have trouble drinking a 32oz one from McD's. I can't imagine 120oz.

Also on a side note, here is a picture of the BigFoot Burger that Adam is going to try to eat in one episode coming up. I looked for a better picture but this was about the best.

I would destroy them!

Ok here is why I couldnt do good on this show. I have a terrible habbit of having to read when I eat. Now I do not do this out at resturants but if you ever told me I had to eat a lot of food in a short amount of time, then I need some good NBA, or Wrestling stories to read. Other wise I pay attention to what I am eating and see to get full very fast.

On a side note, I keep wanting to say that is bacon on the plate but that is the biggest bacon my eyes have ever got see

DarbyD53
03-11-2009, 01:03 PM
Ok I showed the wife and told her I wanted her to make me some Mancakes Sunday. If she does I'll take pics of the before and after. She said I must include the bacon too. Wish me luck

My brother is a big fan of this show, and he wanted me to check it out. I must say it's extremely entertaining to see Adam tackle each challenges with gusto and humor, and while some food made me extremely hungry, others (like that 182 oysters challenge) made me feel sick in my stomach. Adam went to a Japanese ramen noodle resturant here in LA, and took on their hottest ramen and won. I wish I can catch that episode.

Sucked IMO, liked the other episodes. Still waiting for the return of Vegas one where he tries again eating that 5 pound burrito. My friend was there when he did it again
