So i've set up my Windows Media Centre extender for my 360. But when I try to play videos it says it isn't the right format. Now, I've done some research and I've found out that the 360 doesn't play AVI files. What files does it play? And how do I go about converting my AVI to whatever the desired file?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I've got a lot of good films on my laptop but the speakers are ****ed!!:cmad: And i've run out of blank DVDs. So please help me find a way to watch them on my TV via the 360.

Thanks.

Ahhh ;)

I think it's divx... I remember a while ago there was a big divx upgrade for 360. That's what I remember anyway.

Right, I've found out WMV files work on the 360. Does anyone know a good AVI to WMV converter?

Just go to http://tversity.com/ and you'll be able to play a lot more files on your 360.

Thanks. So do I just download that and it will automatically code them for the 360? I'm talking about playing them through media centre, will that work?
