Hey all, a new bonus episode has been posted, its only 15 minutes but its a deep subject.

Tell me YOUR thoughts on this one.

I agree with you 100%. CB movies don't get the respect that they deserve. TDK, while I think it was overhyped, should have got a nod for best picture. It's just stupid that it can't get that because it's a superhero movie.

I think the thing that hinders adaptations recieving the accolades it deserves is that for every Dark Knight there is 5 Elektra's. It ties into what you guys were saying about perception. They will always be viewed with disdain when there's a lot of dross about.

I agree with you 100%.....I think the Comic Book genre is somewhat tied to each other far more than any other genre...so a completely different movie, reflects on another...which should not happen.

Like, Seven Pounds didn't reflect negatively on Doubt or The Reader...so why should The Dark Knight be hindered by Speed Racer? Admitedly, thats a very black and white way to look at things, but its the principle.

I was a wee bit let down with this bonus episode. I was expecting an interview with someone or hot news off the presses that just had to be covered but we got a rant by comic book fans about comic book movies failing at the Oscars and stuff...

Score, are you aware that The Exorcist did not win Best Picture? Silence of the Lambs did, but The Exorcist didn't. This episode was pretty good, and it is rather unfortunate that comic book movies aren't being recognized the way they should.

Thanks for the correction, Nirvana. I looked it up on IMDB, and "The Exorcist" was NOMINATED for Best Picture, but didn't win.

I guess ignorant fans like me are part of the problem holding comic book movies back.
