Brady is an idiot for staying in.....being a professional also means taking care of yourself to play another day. I think ego, is out dicking his brain.

Belicheck's ego already cost them 19-0. What's another couple of ego-maniacs on that team? Their dominance is over anyhow. Might as well play for is records at this point.

Hey, it counts. NFL Europe is folded though. But it was...like 2nd/3rd string players in the league. But a record is a record.

I don't think so, not with me it isn't.

What's actually wrong with seeing a guy go for a record? It's like any sport, you wanna be the best. Brady wants to prove it.

It should be up to the opponents to stop him reaching that record, not his "sportsmanship"

It goes simply beyond running the score up or cheating or being bad sports. I don't know why any person would want to tie their loyalty to an organization that treats their own players - the individuals fans come to care about - without any iota of respect.

Players are typically short sighted who care about wins and money.

Look at the Patriots track record. This is a team that traded one of the most important players in Franchise history a week before the season without the common courtesy of telling him in person (so he may make appropriate plans for his family). This is a coach that has a history of having players play soon after suffering from concussions and with blatant apathy to their health.

How so?

He gets trashed by everyone almost.....He is underrated.

Are you aware of some of the QBs that have played this decade?

I didn't say he was the worst QB, simply the most overrated.

While fans and people on message board criticize McNabb (sometimes unjustly, most of the time validly), the media has long treated McNabb as an elite leader in this league. That is simply not the case. McNabb is an average QB in a great franchise.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially announced that 62,422 attended Sunday's game between the Bucs and Panthers at Raymond James Stadium.

According to Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times, the actual attendance was on 42,487.

42,487. For an NFL game in a Florida city not named Jacksonville.

As Holder points out, the crowd falls well short of the 55,073 who showed up for South Florida's Thursday night game against Cincinnati at the same venue.

The development compels the NFL and/or the Buccaneers to explain how the team is managing to avoid local blackouts. At a minimum, the folks in Jacksonville could employ the same strategy.

Wow, what an unexpected and disappointing weekend. Raiders won a game against a great Eagles team, and Jets fell against a 1-4 (now 2-4) Bills team. This was a must-win for Jets and they blew it, big time. I don't want to mince words, but I don't want to hear the media using the term "Sanchise" ever again...Sanchez was atrocious today and even worse than that game vs the Saints. Now I'm not even sure if they are the 2nd best team in AFC East.

First real shockers of the season. I just think the teams that we thought were going to be good are all average at best this year. It's still early though and there is plenty of time. One of these middle of the pack teams is going to get hot the last month of the year. The only teams that are definitively out of it are:

KC, Oak, St. Louis, Det, Buff, Wash, Clev, Tenn, TB.

Giants are 5-1, but until this week they haven't really been tested by a great team (their previous opponents were Redskins, Cowboys, Bucs, Chiefs, and Raiders). Their schedule will get progressively harder, and we'll see if Giants or Eagles will win their division.

They needed Brady to get his timing down on the deep ball & get his "Moss-frst" attitude back. It worked to the tune of 2 touchdowns to Moss, 2 touchdowns to wide open welker as the coverage fleed in Randys direction..and then a classic "Brady to moss"-unstoppable backshoulder td.

Some quick facts about Brady's half:

1. He threw more touchdown passes in the game's first 30 minutes than the Lions, Dolphins, Rams, Panthers, Browns and Raiders had total for the season coming into today.
2. All those touchdown passes came in the second quarter, the most thrown by a quarterback in one period since 1950.
3. The Patriots 45-0 halftime lead is the biggest in the NFL since 1950.
4. The yardage and touchdown passes were all first half career highs for Brady.
5. Brady's 24/28, 345 yard, 5 touchdown start was good for a quarterback rating of 157.6 (a perfect rating is 158.3). If you ever need examples of why the QB rating system is archaic, look no further. How can Brady's half not be perfect?

On the Patriots first drive of the second half, Brady threw for his sixth touchdown pass of the game. The NFL record for a game is seven, last achieved by Joe Kapp in 1969.

Well he should be. Maybe some of that poor sportsmanship rubbed off on his assistants. But I have never seen Belicheck embrace a guy after a big ball game following a loss, be it Dungy, or Cowher, or you know who. Jets have been su*king for 3 straight games now.

Yes, and it makes for wonderful television.

Schottenheimer is going to start taking some heat if he doesn't get the kid straightened out. The Jet fans won't have the same patience level with Sanchize as the Giant fans had with Manning. Things could get ugly quickly, especially if they miss the playoffs again.

From the ESPN highlight of the game, I saw McDaniels waving his hand to Belichick from across the field, but I didn't see these two getting close for a few words as coaches do.we actually saw the game, not highlights

Giants fans no patience with Manning, he was labeled a bust by most until the final q of the super bowl.

Manning was regressing in 06. Plus the even higher, ridiculous expectations because of his brother. But the Giants were never prepared to bench him or anything. I just wonder, if the Jets are in a tight race and Sanchez goes out there and stinks it up like this, do you bench him for a game or two? And if Clemens looks good, that's when Jet fans will go crazy.

I just noticed Pittsburgh and Minnesota are playing next week. That'll be a damn good game.
