As every Lantern Fan knows, one of the things that makes Green Lantern so great is the fantastic way the stories and characters lend themselves so well to truly epic imagery... For a medium as heavily visual as comic books, i feel this is a major reason for the book (not to mention the characters') success.
This is the thread to post your favourite Green Lantern pictures. It can be anything to do with the mythos. Heroes, villains and any of the Lanterns... Hal, John, Guy, kyle... Ch'p? Ha! It can even be Predator if that's your thing...

Hank Henshaw, Cyborg Superman, is a brilliant design. I love the fact that you see parts of Superman and then this creepy robot. It feels as if you can trust him because you see some of Superman, but you really can't. The cyborg part is just great as well. I love the reflection of Guy and Hal on his metal head, nice touch.

I think Saarek is an awesome addition to the corps. He has the ability to communicate with the dead and it was cool seeing him in GLC. I would definitely like to see more of him and he is trying to find the Anti-Monitor for Scar, the Guardian. Neat design and I like the idea he is calm and collective about what he does.

I didn't know it myself. It's really not at all noticeable most of the time, since Kyle's either controlled by crazy or a figment of someone's imagination in those instances. It's just funny. Johns obviously has a certain idea about Kyle that he's carried all these years.

Probably stems from his perception of the fandom, which got very divisive when Hal was the Spectre and Kyle was the sole GL. We obviously know which side Johns was on, so he must've viewed the other side as wanting only their GL, no compromises.

For me it is not THAT contradictory. Kyle admired Hal, but it doesn't mean he can't feel special. He said it himself : maybe it is luck. Luck can be complemented with feeling special. the guy is the only one, the torch bearer, the last GL, it makes him special i guess, in his eyes too. Not special like "I'm a bastard and special" more like "I'm unique, I was unique". It can be understandable since Kyle never saw himself as a true hero (which was the one thing I disliked about the character) : "I'm not a hero, I'm a normal guy, I'm just Kyle, I do the best I can", so it would be easy to understand that he felt more confident when he was alone because he was THE main GL.
That's the way I see it. I do not find all this contradictory.
And for the ecord, this kind of cheap talk like the pic above is precisely what I dislike about the character and/or the writing. "Let's make Hal fans happy and write a strong talk about him" .... ... and I think it weakens and has weakened Kyle. I would have preferred him to become more confident at one point.

Hell, I wouldn't trust Joss Whedon to write the Punisher at all, he clearly has too many biases against the character. I don't completely trust Morrison to write Wonder Woman at this point either, considering that he straight up said he didn't like her. And the list goes on.

Hell, I wouldn't trust Joss Whedon to write the Punisher at all, he clearly has too many biases against the character. I don't completely trust Morrison to write Wonder Woman at this point either, considering that he straight up said he didn't like her. And the list goes on.

You've kinda provided your own counterpoint here, in that while so many writers wear their dislike of certain characters on their sleeves, you have to pore through the history books and be like "if I align these three unrelated panels from the past decade of comic books, you can see the hidden ulterior motives of Geoff Johns' grand subliminal anti-Kyle tapestry" to prove Johns' "tensions" with Kyle. And its a theory that sells short Rebirth, where you could argue that Kyle (along with Ollie) is more the hero than even Hal. I'd say with the amount of butchery we've seen other characters go through in recent years, in stories far worse than the ones Johns has penned, Kyle has gotten off pretty lightly.

I love Ivan Reis art. and I überlove the design he ad for the Satr sapphire. the ultimate outfit IMO, if one can speak of "outfit". Nevertheless, I really dislike the new hair cut od Sinestro. I think the character potential goes far beyong a Hitler analogy, and even if I like his uniform right now, I hate his hairs. Looks silly. I do not take him seriously, everytime I laugh. I suppose the real potential of the character is not in his hairs ... anyway.

It doesnt really bother me. It's much better than any other logo he's ever had because in spite of the flaws people might have with it, it's still recognisably the GL logo. Unlike that ugly 90's one or (shudder) the Ion one...

And thats cool. I always liked that he kinda did his own thing (one of the reasons the black background doesnt bother me) but there are limits. It just felt with the whole Kyle-as-Ion thing that they were getting further and further away from his being, y'know Green Lantern... Say what you want about Johns' treatment of Kyle but the guy made him a Lantern again. He put him back were he belongs whilst simultaneously introducing a new character to take over the Ion legacy so as not to completely invalidate it.

I didn't have a problem with Kyle being Ion. He's the Torchbearer, which means he's unique among the Corps for being the one guy who's shouldered the entire GL legacy all by himself. Unique powers and a unique identity to signify that worked.

But I'm cool with him being an Honor Lantern now, too. He and Guy work well as partners.

Say what you want about The Batman but this episode is fantastic.
I disagree. I think the episode was one of the poorest of the poorest. It was über-crap in my opinion, and we could not see much of Hal with the ring, but the Penguin. But I think the designs were great and some small moments were really fun.
What is odd, is that I keep thinking that sinestro is dressed in blue. That is how I picture him, and when I read the Sinestro Corps War, I felt that his yellow uniform was disturbing, sometimes. And when i saw this episode, I was "disturbed" by the blue uniform ! the one I should be used too. I guess I'm used to the yellow one more than I thought.
