View Full Version : The Return of Limp Bizkit
My guess there's not a lot of fans of them here... Or anywhere! But, I guess there are still a few people out there, like me that still likes them. No? Okay!
:p
But, this summer Limp Bizkit will go on a world tour with the original members (Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto & Dj Lethal) and then release another CD! Their last two studio efforts wasen't much to brag about, but I still hope they can make another kick ass album to make me a fan again! :woot:

I was a fan.
But when Wes left, I dunno.....wasn't the same.
I guess I'm still a fan, but I haven't heard a thing from them in years.

Jesus. It's 2000 all over again with all these bands. I was a huge fan of Limp Bizkit...but it was mostly because I was [BLEEPING] 14 years old! I have zero interest in anything these guys do anymore especially since this is like their 3rd attempt at reuniting. Fred Durst should just go back to directing mediocre movies & eating McDonald's because very few people are going to be interested in his music.
"What do you say to the people who are holding their breath for a Creed reunion?"
Tremonti: "You're going to die."

Limp Bizkit are one of the worst bands to ever exist. Fred Durst alone is going to rot in hell (which doesnt exist, as them reuniting is proof that there is no god) just for the abortions he calls "lyrics."
The best thing that ever happened with Limp Bizkit is when Fred Durst professed his love for Nine Inch Nails in an interview, and when asked about it Trent Reznor said he thought that the band sucked, and that Fred Durst was especially horrible, causing Fred to cry like a little b**ch about it on their next cd, and trying to start "beef" with Trent, who just completely ignored him, and probably never even heard the song.

Doubtful. Creed and Limp Bizkit were two of the most successul bands in music. There is no reason for them to be low on cash right now. Scott Stapp and his former bandmates still get royalties from Creed merchandise, his former bandmates formed Alter Bridge which proved to be a successful band.
Believe me, none of these bands are hurting for money.

Well, I do recall hearing about 2 of LB's members taking the drug path after the band's original break-up. Maybe they are desperate for some cash.

It's not unusual for folks to live way beyond their means, even if they are getting royalties they still could be in financial turmoil if they invested in the market, Madoff anyone. I think we all recall MJ, Hammer, James Brown and Wille Nelson having issues in this area.

Oooh, this news has got me very excited.
Of course, I was but merely a drug addled teen when I got into the whole nu-metal shebang. However, I was looking to change my CD collection in the car the other day and in the back of my cupboard I found Chocolate Starfish.... and Results May Vary, which are both now in the car and are very nostalgic. I'll probably aquire their next album purely for nostalgic purposes and maybe to kill an hour or twos worth of driving.

No, I don't know them. But if you saw the way Creed lived you would see for yourself they're not hurting for money. Some of these guys live WAY below their means and have nothing fancy whatsoever, they're about as plain and as simple as you can find in a rich celebrity.
Michael Jackson isn't have financial issues. That's a BS story created by the media in hopes they can get him out in the open once more. He's still one of the most wealthiest men in the world. As for Hammer, James Brown, and Willie Nelson? Hammer admitted to living way beyond his means and kept on giving money to people he thought he could trust.
Do a little research and you'll come to see it as a fact. It's very rare that you'll hear guys like Creed, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Metallica, Prince, or Michael Jackson file for bankruptcy because they were smart with their money, saved, and didn't buy fancy equipment just to show it off to the world.

02-17-2009, 06:57 PM
Well since I'm not a fan I wouldn't take it upon myself to any research on any of the bands mentioned. Now if I'm mistaken, didn't the lead singer of Creed go through a divorce, in which he would have to pay child support and alimony.
Also, MJ has been having issues for years with Neverland in payment of the staff there, so how does that not fall under financial despair.
None of these folks are immune to falling under hard times, there are many that live a good life, with in their means and have financial issues.
Oh, and I never mentioned the word bankruptcy.

I was a fan of the band and still occasionally have a song pop up on my iPod and listen (I guess I'm still a fan then). Nothing too exciting but I'm sure I'll check out the new stuff when it comes out.

Only the drummer. And he did't play on all the tracks on TUT part 1. As a result of that.

I hope that on the flight to their first live show for the reunion, the plane crashes, and they all die. But like, not quickly. I hope that they either strave, or that Fred Durst gets 3rd degree burns on 90% of his body and dies slowly from infection, while in huge amounts of pain. That is how bad this band is. They are quite possibly one of the top 5 worst bands to ever find success. None of them have any talent, except maybe Wes, who f**king squanders it playing underneath Dursts juvenile, retarded lyrics.

I stand corrected. The man is the greatest poet of our generation. Seriously though, most rappers would look at his lyrics and go "...Really? That's all you could come up with?" Soulja Boy probably mocks Dursts lyrics.

I liked Limp Bizkit in middle school. But then i wasn't in middle school anymore, so... yeah. Plus, even me back then thought they were complete garbage after Significant Other.
Sometimes i wish i could go back in time and hand myself like a minor threat album or like, Milo Goes To College and save myself the trouble of listening to ****** music. Oh well.

3$ Bill Yall and Significant Other (to a lesser degree) are still 2 of my fav albums. After that it just depended on the idividual songs. Like I thought Boiler was an awesome song off of Chocolate Starfish and I've always loved their cover of Behind Blue Eyes. I will agree though that Durst's lyrics were always a bit simplistic and to the point without any real depth but alot of the stuff I can relate to and thats whats important to me when it comes to any music is that its something I feel like I can relate to whether its rap/hip hop or metal.

I was once a fan, when I was a kid and all I cared about was stuff that sounded good that is. I put on chocolate starfish again a few weeks ago and while it still sounds good, it is unbelievably commercialised. Every second line Durst is name dropping the band name or referring to some other horse****. The lyrics aren't worth **** and as a result it's not an album that lasts the test of time.
Still though, give me LB over those Blink 182 tools any day of the week. :cwink:

Yea. If they had just given a clear reason as for why it's not out all ready, I could get behind it- but no... One band member say's one thing, another contradicts it. Atleast they're out touring.
Even though the only show that's been cancelled on this tour was the one I was going to. :cmad: That was six hours out of my day I'm not getting back.:csad:

im sure the royalties limp bizkit receive arent much to brag about. its not like their music has been in any sort of demand for years, and they dont have merch to sell, nor do you hear their music placed in any media. what little money the band does generate, im sure a larger portion of it goes to the label that owns the rights to their music. and while whats left thats split among the band could fund a reasonable lifestyle, its probably nothing grand.
P.S. the world would have been a better place had limp bizkit never existed.

I can't figure out why Wes Borland joined back up with them. He was playing in his own band, Black Light Burns, which was vastly superior to LB. And then Marilyn Manson asked him to play with him. Wes decides to join LB again anyway. Crazy.
Well, he said he wanted to be a part of a band and that he only could do that with LB. Not just be a hired guitarist for Manson...
And He's probably working on a new BLB CD now. Speculating of course.

Correct. He said that's what they were aiming for. They tried the same with Rollin' but he thought people did't get it. So, this time he made sure.
Ah well that's cool then. I don't know why but I feel like J.J. Abrams would really dig this video.
