How does everyone think Rogen will handle doing a full time action role? After Pineapple Express, I have to admit my opinion is mixed. The guy seems to have acting ADD.

Unfortuantly, I'm not impressed with him. I don't see him as intimidating at all.

I saw a recent interview with him, with Kevin Smith. The guy lost a good bit of weight. Smith was asking him about it and he said he is working out for Green Hornet.

He is a pretty funny guy, definitely. But I don't really rate him as a actor and his schtick is ALWAYS the same. And there was a few scenes in Pineapple Express where I really dis-liked him. He came across as a *******. But maybe he was supposed to?

He's not, and I get the feeling they will play that up for comedy.

And his losing weight doesn't mean anything, IMO.

to be honest, if they had to an Apatow Crew member in the movie as Hornet, I would pick either James Franco or Paul Rudd. I think they have that leading man appeal that Rogen doesn't have (as much as I like Rogen, he's not the action type)

I read a story, that he had a health scare when he was training for Hornet. He has lost a good bit of weight now. Wonder if he will keep it off for good now.

I don't think this movie is supposed to be as serious as you all think it is. It's supposed to be a buddy comedy much like Pineapple Express. A mix of comedy and action.

Did anyone see Rogan on the Daily Show last night?:wow: :wow: The man has buffed up big time. :wow:

When I first heard about Rogan doing this movie I thought no way is this guy Green Hornet material but after seeing him last night I think I'll give him a chance.

If you didn't see it check him out and tell us what you think...

Which is exactly the problem.

After Observe and Report, I have no issues with him handling the fight scenes.

I think comedy will be the primary intent of this flick with the action being secondary. You have to admit that he's one funny dude

And he can look bada$$ if he wants too, at least look like he can handle himself in a fight against multiple opponents. In O&R the Flashlight scene with the Cops had a very real feel "brawl" feel to it, maybe it was the sound effects. He looked almost Marv-ish when he was sitting in jail.

He looked almost Marv-ish when he was sitting in jail.It seemed he can follow the fight choreographer direction well enough. Indeed that was an impressive cop fight scene, especially the throwdown with Liotta. And now that Rogen in better shape he could try more difficult stunts and fight moves...that insurance will allow.

So James Franco can do serious movies, and be a supervillain then do a comedy and everyone finds it cool and funny but theres no way that can happen when its the other way around going from comedy to action?...What are you all a bunch of professional actors or somthing? Listen I have close friends that are studying in theatre and know a thing or two about the acting business and they say if you can do comedy you can do anything- action, drama, etc because supposedly thats the hardest thing and Rogen has certainly shown that and is about to give us much more.

I know I may sound like a broken record, but Keaton was known for comedy best when he was casted for Batman. He's also not a buff and extremely handsome guy.

Rogen is pretty much in the same category here. It's 1989 all over again. I just hope GH is as good.
