Wow! Thanks for another quick episode! I've been listening to the podcast since the very first episode, and I think you guys do a terrific job (obviously, since I still listen). I'll say this - do not stop opining! Maybe I'm the rare listener who appreciates the opinions and criticisms of others, but that's why I listen! There are plenty of sources to get the basic news and scoops of geek projects out there, but not enough intelligent debates and editorials by fans who understand that movies and comics are different mediums and certain elements get lost/updated in the adaption process. You guys get it, and it's a pleasure to listen!

Thanks for all of your hard work and sacrifice!

Hey guys, i love the show. But I have a problem. I use the Zune software to download all the Hypecast shows. Ever since the NY Comic Coin Day 2 episode, all of the episodes give me error messages when I play them. Can you guys please help me out? Thanks so much.

Malice should be able to help you out with that, mikey. As for the audio, I mix the show using GarageBand and post it as a normal mp3, so there should be no issues as far as compatibility. If it were me, I'd check your settings if you haven't already. But if there's an issue with our feed, we'll send Malice to fix it.

Are there any other Zune listeners having a similar problem?

Thanks for your kind comments, offhand, how did you come about hearing about The Hype! Cast?

Hey mikey...
I suggest trying this.
Delete the podcast feed you are getting, and re-add it.
See if that helps, if not tell me and we can try to iron it out.

Offhand, the feed you can get them from manually is

I've been checking SuperheroHype.com daily for years (I swear I remember that it was called "Spiderman Hype" at first, but I could be wrong). Superhero movies are my favorite genre, so the site was a really good match for me. I was born in 1971, so when I was growing up, TV and movies were heaven for live-action comic book fans (Batman reruns daily, Hulk and Wonder Woman in prime time, Christopher Reeve, etc.). When the podcast was first announced, I was there. I now download it through iTunes. I've tried a few other fanboy-based podcasts, but you guys really are the best, as you're not trying to be "internet stars", you're just talking about the movies you love (or don't).

It would be cool to hear you guys wax more about older films from the genre. You're touched on it with "Krull" (a big one from my childhood), and Immortal's comments on "The Shadow". I like to discuss that stuff with my friends, and I enjoy being a fly on the wall while others do the same.

Anyway, that's my way-too-long answer to your brief question. One thing - is it possible the podcast could be slightly louder? I listen while at work, and factories get pretty noisy. I have my volume cranked but it's still pretty hard to hear. Just a thought...

We can certainly bump up the volume just a pinch. You'll see that change in our first Comic-centric episode, which should drop within a few hours.

Nope, you're correct. It was Spider-Man Hype from 1999-2003 :spidey:

Oh so you guys did do that? Cool.
