I just can't shake this feeling. While I'm positive that an origin story with the Krytponian Braniac is easy money, to qoute the ever endearing Edward Furlong in Terminator 2, I feel guilty.
I feel guilty because I've always wanted to see the Eradicator on screen, another villian that lends itself nicely to an origin story. I think magic could be made on screen if the Eradicator was done correctly. But Braniac is more of a sure thing.

TAS Brainiac is basically the Eradicator. You can easily mix both.

Thats what dont understand. Why ppl want to see TAS Brainiac in a movie? U will lose a lot of potential, because Brainiac from TAS is basically a mix of Brainiac and Erradicator.
And Erradicator would be wonderfull in Superman movie franchise.
I say let Brainiac to be Brainiac and Erradicator be Erradicator. And use both in a new franchise.

In Kevin Smith's script for Superman Lives, part of the reason that Brainiac comes to Earth is because he's looking for the Eradicator, so you could easily have both in one movie. Perhaps Brainiac is able to "corrupt" Eradicator's programing and make him the Krypton Man, or use it to control Clark to the same ends. We could then follow a similar path to the comic, and after Superman shakes off the Eradicator's influence, we have a big showdown with Brainiac.

Yeah, while I was a fan of the way they portrayed Brainiac in the Animated Series I never really cared for his origin much. It just seems too neat.
I much prefer the Brainiac from Colu be he green skinned alien robot and terrifying skull-faced alien robot.
And yeah, the Eradicator would be pretty neat to bring into the movies. That, or even the Krypton Man storyline that showed up around Superman #40 or so and Action Comics #650 or so. It'd be a great way to get into some emotional conflict about identity and upbringing and to deal with Superman's heritage.
That, and some cool fights.

I feel that The Eradicator can bring the same type of conflict to a Superman origin story that Ra's brought to Batman Begins.

There's absolutely no reason you couldn't have some interplay between Braniac and The Eradicator.

yea with the right story having both could probably work out well if they given proper time and develop both characters well.

Written correctly ,anything could work. You find that most actors are in perfect roles with horrible scripts.
