interesting, i mean thats very interesting because in the comics no one was ever able to hack into tonys systems he always had failsafes, all i can remember is recently the skrulls, i find it kind of odd they would dumb down the charachter a bit like that

maybe instead of that, they're playing Hammer up?

Hammer already did it in the comics. he had his technicians hack Iron Man's armor to the point where they were able to cause his palm repulsor to go off at the wrong time and that European diplomat was killed. IM got called a murderer and this started the first decent into alcoholism as I recall.

You are correct! + it caused Tony to drive IM armor nuts, almost killing several people (train full of gas, as I recall).

Um,... Maybe when i go to work tomorrow we might get a blooper that i can tell. Especially with the kind of scenes that we have been doing...

Nice! Turns out the red on the Mark 3 was too dark.
Could also be faded paint, it still has all the damage from the last movie on it so Tony didn't really do any repairs, it did look brighter in the first one, but maybe that was just the lighting.

Okay, you guys wanted a funny story here ya go:

On set it was really cold and wet. There were some heaters out for the background people. One guy decided to put his hands directly on the heater. Luckily he had gloves on. But he did melt them.
A friend of mine said, "Why did you do that?"
Other guy, "I didn't know it was hot."
Friend: "Well the glowing red and yellow kinda give that away."

Oh, and I noticed you mentioned that it was "cold and wet" on set. And my brain is so whacked I can make a theory of what scene you were filming out of those three words.

Yes, I am that insane.

Anyway, based on my random sense of logic, were you happening to be filming the scene where Thor's hammer comes to earth? You don't need to answer, I'm just sayin what I'm thinking in my very strange mind.

With the upcoming release of "Iron Man 2" in May of 2010, Kotobukiya is proud to add the Iron Man Movie Mark VI Fine Art Statue to the Marvel Studios collection! Robert Downey Jr. will be reprising his role as Tony Stark with multiple new and improved armored suits, culminating in the ultimate Mark VI!

After surviving imprisonment by terrorists, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark created the Mark II armor suit. This was followed up soon after by the iconic red and gold Mark III suit used to battle Stane and his Iron Monger (http://marvel.com/universe/Iron_Monger) suit at the culmination of the first film.

In the sequel, the ever-productive Stark improves on his own designs yet again, creating not only additional Iron Man armors but also the famous War Machine! The absolute cutting edge in high-tech personal armor suit and man-sized weaponry, sleeker and more powerful than the previous versions, the Mark VI is visually impressive.

Iron Man stands atop an exclusive cylindrical Repulsor Transmitter base. Like the previous Iron Man ARTFX Statues, the Mark VI includes LED lights in the eyes, chest, fists and base! In addition, the Mark VI has been further refined with a stronger LED light sequence, sharper edges on the base, and increased paint applications. The Mark VI constructed of high-quality cold cast porcelain, is individually numbered on the bottom of the base as part of a Limited Edition. An amazing statue on its own, the Mark VI is also a perfect companion piece to the armors from the first film!

The The Dark Knight days were awesome. I remember fondly of the Amusement park confrontation; The albino Joker; The "Degenerative skin disease that render the skin white, pours white makeup on his face to hide it and paints the hair green because it is also turning white" Joker; the "Glasglow smile was caused by being throwed on barb wire by his ganster pals" Joker; The "Glasglow smile was caused by a malfunctioning teleguided batrang" Joker and much more. :hehe:

Yes, the Sepulvida Dam is a actual dam. But in the spring and summer it is very dry and there is no water in it. The studio did not have a space big enough to build the set, so they decided to build the set in the base of the dam.

It was the only space that was cheap and big enough. Yeah, that was a really big set. If you look at the trailer again, the part of the rockstar scene, that is the inside of the EXPO. There is a brief shot of the outside of it. But we are still inside the EXPO.

I'm not the fan of the grey spots of Mark VI armor, but if not counting the spots, than I'm ok with the armor itself, though, it is just a copy of Mark IV with different chestpiece, gadgets and legs (I guess).

In my opinion, Mark V and War Machine armors - are the only one, that have both successful colour and looks + the helmets of these armors are different, not just a copy of MKIII helmets.

That was my assumption, that when it was being built it isnt fully fabricated before stark had to put it on and go in to battle. Isnt the alloy that the armor is made out of some strange color, like a copperish gunmetal?

Pros and cons of Iron Man 2 Line: 6inch vs. Marvel Select one

1) Hasbro: Iron Man 2 - 6inch Line

What's good:
* Articlulation got really better
* The paint is awesome
* The size of the figures is good enough. You can easily put them with Iron Man figures from the first movie.
* Totally new sculpts, no connection to previous "Iron Man" 6inch line from 2008
* There will be several hands to each character
* 6inch Whiplash, Black Widow and Nick Fury are planned, as some people said over the Hasbro conferention on Toy Fair'10.
* For now, War Machine and Mark VI (http://s859.photobucket.com/albums/ab152/RealIrOnMaN-1/robert-downey-jr-with-iron-man-2-1.jpg) were shown, as an Exclusive Mark IV (with Tony Stark's head) figure (http://www.comicfigs.net/News/images/N85_587.jpg)

What's bad:
* The price could be high
* The 6inch figures will be released only in Wal-Mart, or should I say exlusively to Wal-Mart.
* If you're not living in the States, the only place you can buy these figures will be ebay.

1) Marvel Select: Iron Man 2 - 6inch Line

What's good:
* Mark IV with Tony Stark's head - good paint, sculpt

What's baaad:
* The size: it is 7inch figures. Can't put them near 2008's IM figures
* Total lack of articulation
* Bad paint on War Machine + looong neck
* The price, maybe.
* Only 3 figures are planned (Mark IV, Mark VI, War Machine). No Whiplash or somebody else for now folks.

If Hasbro (showed the Movie Wave MKV) and Mega Bloks (Doing only Movie Merchandise and showing MKV again) that's got to mean something + the briefcase theory.

Ahh, why am I telling this again?) - here http://www.**************.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=14655 (explained as best as could).

At this point, I'd say its almost confirmed.

The Mark V is the transition to VI in the movie it looks like. First IM movie we had three models that Tony worked on. Now it will be IV, V, and VI along with Rhodey and WM, Whiplash, Hammer and his fleet of drones.

IM2 is going to be one hell of a movie.

Yeah man) I just can not wait to see how "the action" unfolds on the Monaco scene in IM2. The appearence of the suit has been confirmed long before Redd confirmed it's existence. Remember the blurry action figure spot in october ( http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy72/Iron_Dude/Ironman-2-toys00001_1256946238.jpg ), which I showed early and which said Mark V? That's where it all started.

And the next step in MKV's appearence were the briefcase (ET report) + this back in november: http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy72/Iron_Dude/Picture-4_1260342593.png

This one is the most interesting thing about the movie. How Mark V will appear on the big screen? Will it be "briefcase turning into armor like in the 90's TAS" or the armor itself is under the race suit? No one knows for sure... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fubugDhquvs&hl=ru_RU&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fubugDhquvs&hl=ru_RU&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Those Grey areas in the Mark VI are really aggravating to look at. I was so sure that the Mark VI would look like this:

Which the only difference in the Mark IV is the chest

Enough Mark V proof right here: http://www.toyark.com/news/toy-fair-59/iron-man-2-mega-blocks-display-from-toy-fair-2010-2407/

Regarding the color issue of the Mark VI...my guess is that the design of the suit changed over the course of preproduction, and the inclusion of the all gold and gray thighs and gray on the arms were last minute choices (evident by the fact that they are not in the toys).

SPOILER: Description of Mark VI Armor:
"No longer powerful enough to deal with his enemies' advanced tech, Tony Stark upgrades his Iron Man Armor designs ever further to create the Mark VI Iron Man!

With a new and improved Arc Reactor both powering his armor and keeping him alive, not even the high-tech devastation caused by Whiplash and Hammer Industries can stop the Invincible Iron Man in Mark VI Armor."

War Machine's creation *SPOILER ALERT* - Diamond Select Toys
"Created for James Rhodes by reverse-engineering Tony Stark's Iron Man, the War Machine armor differs from it's predecessor not only in terms of color but also possesses more destructive weapons and raw firepower.

Forced to choose between following orders and helping his friend, Rhodes must decide once and for all where his loyalties lie."

1) "I am Iron Man." With those words, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark revealed his secret identity. Now a famous high-tech superhero, he uses his powers to protect mankind. Yet things are not going well for Tony Stark.

The U.S. military demands control of the most powerful weapon on earth--the Iron Man suit. His beautiful new assistant has a strange, mysterious agenda while his best friend, Rhodey, has betrayed him. And Tony is hunted by a vengeful Russian criminal armed with a lethal technology that may be stronger than Tony's suit. But even as he fights his demons, the hero faces his greatest threat--one that no armor can defend against...

Meet all of Iron Man's friends (Rhodey, Pepper, Agent Coulson, Nick Fury) and his new foes (Whiplash, Black Widow, Justin Hammer).

Not yet.

The only thing, which everyone knows - is what Jon Favreau always keeps saying, that Whiplash will go through upgrades. His first suit - is like Mark I in the first movie. And through the storyline we will see how he upgrades himself (with the help of Justin Hammer).

I'm not a particular fan of the alcoholism. It'd be a far cry from the fun tone of IM and IM2 and Stark would spend a big part of the movie without being Iron Man, which I also don't want to see. I think "Demon in a Bottle" can be done without, well, the bottle. What if the Mandarin organized an attack against every aspect of Stark's life. Using Titanium Man to keep Iron Man busy and the Ghost to steal the Iron Man's blueprints and selling them in the black market trough Justin Hammer, framing Tony and making him a public enemy of the government, SHIELD and the public, as well as targeting Tony's loved ones, destroying his factories and etc. It'd be pretty much the classic plot, but, instead of giving the armor to someone else, Tony would be more motivated than ever to stood up and fight.

IMHO, obviously.

Oh, and I also don't think Pepper gets a new boyfriend in this.

I think the drinking and all that stuff would be a good way to confront his age, to confront his doubts, to confront the fact that maybe Pepper gets a boyfriend." - http://www.reelmovienews.com/2008/06/iron-man-2-spoilers-rumors-galore/

I am in 3 different scenes. I also, became friends with some of the crew. They told me a little bit about the story and what is going on.

Also, I have 3 friends that were "regulars" in the movie. They worked from February 09' to July 09', and they told me a lot of what was going on in the movie.

Plus, from the 3 scenes that I did, there was a lot of action and dialogue going on. Just from that you can put the pieces together and figure out what was going on.

For awhile I had a quote from the movie in my signature, but I took it down because of the contract that I signed when I joined the movie.
