after those video's, especially the rolling stones one, i have absolute fiath in gondry, also I'm cautiously optimistic about rogan, but even is he sucks, this movie will LOOK awesome.

Hmm, paraphrasing something i learned in 99 from my sister(a photographer):

"Bullet time" is actually a pretty OLD concept, only in the old days the technique was done with still photography." She reminded me about the Gondry videos when i was raving about the Matrix in 99. I think i remember a sting video using it somehow.

And yes, "Bullet time" is copyrighted by the matrix dudes and done with cgi.

I dont think there was any cgi involved with the smirnoff ad or the stones video.
Gondry likes using cameratricks, models and super duper editing.

My sister knows more, she has several gondry dvds with making ofs, i'll ask her.
