I used Final Cut Pro to do the editing, and Adobe After Effects to create the video manipulations/effects. I also used Photoshop for a few things.

Who cares what you used to make it, what is really impressive is your editing. You did a great job of finding the right scenes and blending the music and voices in.

yea fillion has been a top choice for the role, but we got to remember he is pushing 40s and we know from the actors that have been revealed to have tested/talked with the director about the role are in the 25-35 range and they want a younger hal for the film.

HA! The ***** slap was a debate in my head, but it was too perfect from "Bedtime Stories" when I first saw them pull out these guns that were emiting the same energy as the Green Lantern ring, I couldn't pass it up. You're lucky I didn't use more! :twisted::D

Believe it or not, the alien Lanterns were ALL photoshop with After Effects animation.

All I did for Kilowog was find a picture of a toy and photoshop it, cut out the mouth as a new layer, import to After Effects, and make it open slowly. Slight of hand.
Tomar-Re and the dude from MIB in the back were just still photoshop manips , then I animated the camera around them to make it look like they were standing in 3D.

Galius Zed was just a photoshop manip - all I did was smudge his arm in After Effects to give him some movement.

Of all the shots I did, these were some of the easiest.

That was absolutely fantastic! As someone who enjoys fan-editing trailers and knows what the painstaking process is like, I must say, that was one of the greatest displays of composting, maniping and editing that I've ever seen. I truly applaud your work. It is mindblowing! :up: :up: :up:

BTW, if you ever have a chance, I'd love to chat with you in a little bit more detail about how you achieved certain effects, the time it took to pull them off, the best way to go about rotoscoping, etc. etc. I guess a PM would be the best way to talk. Fillion not wanting the Green Lantern role could be a dupe. And yes, the studio forced him to add Venom, but I seem to remember him saying that he'd drop the films before he added a symbiote.
