Yeah I'm not to fond of Bay's (what seems to be reoccurring at this point) inclusion of fluids. Ugh.

Its nice to see that they really did take care of the camera shakiness from the first film. The robots models looks really good (CGI wise) and I like some of the landscapes a lot more than the first film.

Not sure about Bay's interpretation of Jetfire being a bad mouthed senile geezer yet. Its iffy for me.

What Starscream is spitting out could be gas. He did just saw a car in half completely, from front to back. It's possible gas could have sprayed in his face.

Aside from exstremely cool effects, and they ARE super cool! This movie doesn't seem any richer than the first one. The cheesyness seems to still be there in spades. John Turturro's character is still in it, and he was so ****ing lame!... But hey, the action will be wild, Megan Fox looks even hotter than ever before. And Shia is just cool and funny! I'll see it.

Second--kind-of expected balls-out action with a lot of special effects. Glad to see that Spielberg's influence is still on the flick.

The scene between Bumblebee and Sam sucked, but I'm not going to see this for the story. I realized some time ago that Bay makes movies for little kids. So a powerful robot crying over some forgettable human teen doesn't come as a big surprise.

It does have its good points, though. The visuals are amazing, as expected. Optimus and Jetfire are set up to be interesting in their own ways. I'm really liking Starscream; not only does it beat the hell out of Megatron, but it also forces Shia LeBeouf to swallow robotic spooge? Now that's "awesome."

No offense, but is it "master of the obvious day"? Yes, they always have had human attributes. But they're emphasized more in the film series than they were in the cartoons. Again, I repeat- not a big whoop, but it comes off as silly when robots from Cybertron have so much in common with humans, especially when Bay's films seem to have no problem showing us non-humanoids like Demolisher/Scavenger that actually come off as extraterrestrial. It's not like we need the reminder, either. Prime and just about every other significant Cybertronian walks on two legs like most able-bodied people.

Okay, here are my complete thoughts on the footage:

First, holy **** that was ****in awesome!!!! I think Bay really hit a homerun with this one. The action looks bigger, bader & cooler, which is what I think most people are looking for in a summer blockbuster. I also really like how they chose to go all around the world in this film. I can recall shots from China (the Shanghai set), New York City, Egypt, some forest as well as a shot from some city, maybe in Egypt.

As for the CGI, I can clearly see an improvement. In the first film Bay used CGI sparingly, in this one it looks as if we will see atleast 2x that amount. I can also see how the lighting was improved as well as the detail (especially in Devastator). This is great because Bay really only increased the budget by 50 million, and was still able to add over 40 more bots as well as make them look perfect.

The action also is better coreographed. It has a more martial arts kinda feel to it, which I wanted to see more of in the first film. The cinematography also gives us a clear look at the action (finally), which is what i didn't like about the first one.

Truly, this should be one of the most action packed movies we'll see this summer. I for one, can't wait. :yay:

Bumblebee doesn't "pee". He has an opening there which he opened for comedic effect. Same goes for the tears. Prime spat out a part, didn't look like a tooth to me. Whats "far-fetched" about learning English from the internet?

I don't have a problem with any of the transformers releasing fluids. I've worked with instrumentation for over 10 years and all machines needs to expel waste to continue proper function.

The scene with BB was brutal. I was hoping that the cheese element was going to be removed as the movie seemed far more serious in the teaser trailer, but it looks like its very much there.

In the first ad there are three Decepticons when Optimus is falling. Megatron is in the center, I hope it's Blackout (I want to see more of him in this film) and I think it's Soundwave. As I recall that toy, this design resembles that form.

awesome footage. Bay's definitely bringin' the eye candy. as for the Sam and Bumblebee scene, it was okay. i'm an effects nut so the eye candy keeps me entertained even after i've seen it several times already. i really liked Bumblebee's 'performance'. it's cool seeing robots with emotions and there's a cuteness and charm about him that makes it a fun scene to watch even if it's supposed to be a sad moment. not sure what was up with Mikaela undressing and holding the flowers though.

Exactly. At the risk of awakening any lurking Star Wars fans, Bay seems to be taking a leaf out of Empire Strikes Back book. The humour of 3PO and R2D2 was more present, Han couldn't get the Falcon's hyperdrive to work etc. A dark film HAS to have some light touches to it so as not to fully alienate the audience (watch a Korea film called Scarlet Letter if you want a really depressing experiance). The fact of thematter is the stakes have been raised, the action looks immense and it is easily going to be the number 1 movie of the summer.

That's what I'm thinking, I'm going to take a guess at this but I think BB might be trying to mimic humans, perhaps it's his way of being "friends" with Sam or at least he thinks it is. Sam is letting him go as his guardian but BB obviously still wants his company.

I watched that spot with Devastator over and over. In my opinion, that capture is a tad misleading. For a while I thought that the CGI needed work on his foot. But after watching that part in slow mo, I think it's just an illusion created by the point of hitting pause.

^ it's a sad world We live in, when cool effects is all people are focusing on... Visually this movie looks more epic, there's no doubt about it. They're all over the place! The effects looks even more badass than in the first film. I just prey that this movie actually has a story, and that they will please turn down the cheesyness, I mean it's like they dont even try to tone it down (judging from the Showest clip)... and Why is John Turturro's Agent Simmons character back!? I swear to God, he was so ****ing irritating!

Let's hope this movie has just a little brains. Really, I aint asking for much here, I just hope for a little.

ps. Bay said this film is darker than the first... I aint seeing it.

Making it darker doesn't mean the whole Movie has to be brooding. There will be humor, but when the action starts it's surely going to be serious.

^ More serious drama would also make it darker in tone, and that is surdently one of the ellements this franchise needs.

Really impressed with this. There may well be some slightly unfinished CGI, hence why Bay posted it and not officially Paramount. But it jus means although it's awesome now, it can only get better.

I honestly can't wait to see Devastator, gonna be pretty damn cool.

New fave bit though, haha, when Megatron kicks Optimus flying and it pans to the 3 Decepticons walking toward him and Sam, check out Blackout on the left! He does like a whole Butterfly Knife thing with the blades in his right hand! Pretty cool, but I'm nerdy like that!

Thoroughly impressed. Can't wait for this kinda stuff in 1080p in a couple weeks - as am guessin most of it will be in the trailer before Wolverine.
