How long do you guys think Spider-Man 4 should be? If you have a prefered theme and plot for the movie, feel free to base your time around that, until we get an official one.

btw, should I add a poll?

*I know it's early, and this is kinda what you want, not what it probably will be.

I don't think that this is the right time to debate about what the running time for the film should be; for all we know it could be Spider-Man on a chase throughout NYC through the entire length. But... I'll have to go with the first two film's running times of about (just shy of) the two hour mark. A lot of the 'Marvel' films have all had that same duration, 'Spider-Man 3' was really the only one that ever pushed it, so I wouldn't doubt that they'll go back to basics with this one (also in an attempt to get the domestic totals back up again).

as long as it takes to get a great "balance". Balance of characters, story, and action.

Actually, there's a flaw in that, because Spider-Man 3's time length could've worked out with its characters, but the movie had so many useless scenes that weren't needed, that it pushed a lot of the necessary scenes out, or it made them shortened.

So, really...I think two villains could fit perfectly within two hours. It's just the writing that needs to fix the "balance".

But most likely, Raimi will stick with a two hour movie, or two hours and four-five minutes. Spidey 2 was about two hours and two minutes.

I think that was your most neutral and easy to agree with post ever.

it depends on the pacing. you can make a good 2:30 movie or a bad 1:30 movie.

Between 2 hours and 2.5 hours. Anything less will probably be crap and anything more will probably feel like it is dragging.
