In this new run of comics he used Mjolnir to shield him self from Destroyers beam, but even a fraction of a second of dropping Mjolnir and getting hit alittle did major damage

Thanks for the info. I never got around to reading a lot of Thor comics when I was growing up so I only know basics about the character.

I just hope SHIELD has a very limited role. They can shine a bit in Avengers and they're getting their own damn film as well.

That's in line with the comics. Thor can stop the Destroyer on his own but nothing short of the Celestials or the full Odinpower has been able to actually destroy it.

Asgard looked solid and almost EXACTLY to what my sources described and some of the rare concept drawings I've managed to see.

I've other information on just the overall look but nothing on script or story, that's all pretty much locked away, but in terms of the set design and some of the stylistic choices used for the production in the film, those I have details for that I've shared before in the past but can't share much more elst while my source will be Buckied like Captain America's Bucky, only by Marvel films....

The only thing he's talked about ,fight wise, was the fight with Loki where Chris and Tom were rehearsing and Tom was wearing the helmet sweating up a storm hitting Chris in spots an Chris thinking "Tom's gonna Kill someone" then they go to fight and Chris elbows Tom in the nose lol Tom ended up with a bloody nose.
So not so much detail in who and what they fight, yet.

Flight-wise he should just raise Mjolnir and take off. I know it's not faithful, but in the comics, if Mjolnir can summon storms, channel magic, open interdimensional portals etc I don't see why it can't allow Thor to fly without throwing it and hanging on. It has the power to change direction and speed mid-flight without re-throwing it afterall.

In the Movie it was for rekindling an ancient war Aesop mentioned.
In the comics, Ages of Thunder to be exact, it was more or less being an a** toward everyone, short tempered, Fighting for no reason, thinking his relationship to Odin gave him rights to be an a**.
Ages of Thunder is the only real story of Thor's banishment, but the basics were always there Thor was just a ruthless selfish snob.

The most RECENT explanation of the Odinsleep is in the new run when Thor did his first "ThorSleep". He explains it's very much being on the verge of Death.
If I recall right Odin says the same thing when SIF became QUEEN of Asgard as LADY Sif during one of Odin's Odinsleeps and she had to guard Odin at the same time in Volume 1 I believe. I could be wrong there, it's been awhile since I've read the story.
It's almost like going into a comma you're dead but still alive, and can be under the Odinsleep for an undetermined amount of time just like a comma.
