I would love to get an iPhone but At&T has such crappy service in my area. I have Verizon and really like their service, but the iPhones are so sweet. I've heard Apple and Verizon are in talks again since At&T's exclusive contract runs out next year, I hope they become available. I have an LG Voyager and I like it, but it's just not sleek enough and the touchscreen can't hang with an iPhone. My roommate moved from Texas to Tennessee and he recently had to give up his iPhone and change to Verizon because he can't get service here.

I think it was be a huge mistake staying exclusively with At&T. My roomate couldn't get picture messaging on his iPhone...that's crazy. Does At&T have a picture messaging? Can anyone with an iPhone or At&T here confirm this?

It does not currently have MMS, but will later this summer when AT&T wakes the **** up and allows the US Market to do so.

Mine comes to 77 dollars and thats with unlimited evenings, 500 daytime, unlimited texts, voicemail, data plan, phone insurance and pretty much everything that you could get

My friend dan doesn't have the insurance and he pays about 65

Not to derail the thread (but hey, its my own, i can do what i want!), i gotta point this out.

This is an entirely untrue, yet often quoted line belched out by Macintosh in an effort to relate to the "young" and "hip". Macs are no better than PCs for art programs (photoshop, illustrator, flash, the whole dame adobe creative suite). What makes a certain computer "better" is not the computer, but the person using it. I went to college for media art and animation and throughout my collegiate career (and the last 4 years of professional work) have used both Mac and PC. The verdict? The programs ran great on each and I never had a complaint on the quality of work (nor did I ever make a complaint saying "this computer sucks for art and design!").

In short, you don't "need" a Mac. You just want one.
