Look at the line ILM Screen Time.
It does say they rendered 51 freakin' minutes!
So we should watch almost 2 full hours of pointless characters, bad jokes and vomit inducing shaky cam VS 51 minutes of Bionicle + a 4 legged Megazord with balls?!
I'll wait the YouTube leaks, thanks. And I mean only the robots scenes.

you've convinced me...

I think I'll skip it too:whatever:

on a transformers board no less...

I'm curious tho, why even watch it on you tube if you have so much contempt...

Robot fights are still robot fights.

With a rapid calculation, the TFs occupie 1/3 of the film. And I bet much of that are the pointless ones.

Hmm, well if you think of it it would cost alot of money to render 2 hours of robots. i can see them perfectly editing the robot stuff they do have throughout the movie.

sure in the first one it took almost an hour to see the bots but atleast it was funny till that point. just rela and know that if anything this movie will be fun as heck.

Well Shila Buff did say an in interview for the video game that the movie was the point of view of the humans and the game is in the point of view of the Transformers. But I'll see this movie reguardless.

What? You don't even want to watch scenes with Megan Fox in it? :whatever:

Btw, as much I would love to watch non-stop robot battles, I know that it's not only unrealistic due to the fact that (from what I've read) each minute of f/x costs about a million dollar to make, and general audience won't sit through a movie that has nothing but robots in it, and the movie studio won't spend over 150 million on a movie that caters only to fanatical fans (who actually make up small percentage of moviegoers). Therefore, your demand makes no sense.

Go watch the cartoon, naysayers. Transformers time galore, and constant name dropping besides. Clearly you'll be much happier.

They are re-using animations, the robots will be in vehicle mode, and they have a lot of practical effects like robotics (Michael Bay likes to use practical effects when he can), etc...

I don't see a problem:o If you liked the first one, this will be just bigger and better. If you didn't like the first one, I don't see why you are in here.

Yeah!
Why is it that when someone doesn't like something like these movies, they feel the need to turn everyone to their side. It's a simple thing: don't like it, don't watch it.
Whats the idea? "I hated Transformers!!! Will i watch ROTF? Hell, yeah... so i can hate it too and talk trash about it!!!" WTH!!!
Why spoil the fun for those who loved the first and hope to love the second?
Do i wish the robots had more air time? Yes. But i understand there are limitations and i won't hate the movie just because of that. Hating the movie without even watching it, just because of the robots airtime? And as its been said. thats the CGI shots.
Stop hate for hate's sake. You don't like it, thats your right, just as it is my right to love it, and everyone else to have their own opinion.

I can understand hating a movie after you have seen it, but bashing it before you have even seen 10 minutes of it is stupid.

If they didn't like the first movie, I don't get why they would be in here in the first place. I thought Spirit and Punisher War Zone would be terrible flicks so I stayed out of those boards because I had no reason to be in there.

51 minutes means ILM's FX costed around 50-60 millions.
Who the f**k took the other 150? And for giving what?
If they gave ILM 100 millions, at least we would have almost 2 hours of robots talking, planning, chasing, running, driving, fighting and blasting.

Someone took away my post; damn.

But who ever said that it costs only 50-60 million for 51 minutes of rendering?

Did you think of that logic yourself?

14 robots in the first film, 46 in this film. Bay and ILM did tons more with this movie; stop *****ing, please. They did not waste anything.

And besides, just because they had a high budget doesn't mean crap; Spider-Man 3 had 250 million and it was a pile of ****. Budget can only do so much. You will never see a full two hour film with giant robots in every single scene.

There are many who think it's a damn miracle that these movies can be made for the amount Paramount is making them for.

I agree and I think it's a miracle these movies even got made. Don Murphy talked about how difficult it was just to get the first film greenlighted. Murphy and Tom Desanto took the project to every major studio and nobody was interested the first time around. The project fell into the hands of Paramount after some younger marketing executives convinced the suits to take a chance on the project.

I also wanted to say the films look twice as expensive as the actual budgets and thank God Fox doesn't own the property rights.

i belive we will have more than 51 minuets because the first film had 3/4 done by ILM and the other by Bays own Digital Domain, why should this film be any different?????? everyone relax

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there other smaller effects companies working on this film? I could've sworn Bay mentioned this on his blog.

Asylum VFX (http://forums.superherohype.com/company/co0065161/) (visual effects)
Digital Domain (http://forums.superherohype.com/company/co0011313/)
Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) (http://forums.superherohype.com/company/co0072491/)
Kerner Optical (http://forums.superherohype.com/company/co0208143/) (miniature effects)

I see no point in this thread other than for him to whine about something he doesn't know about. ILM isn't the only company doing effects for the film. Digital Domain is a big sfx company as well.

I guess people still can't see this. Digital Domain and ILM are big sfx companies working on this film. So, there is more than 51 minutes of Transformers.

I saw this info tonite on another Transformer website and there will indeed be more Robot time than 51 minutes. So as Prime said to Sam "Calm down, Calm down." Someone else said we should be happy we're getting these movies at all and IMHO I agree. Very happy with tickets at the ready!:applaud:trans:

Driving? Why on god green earth would you render something that could be done with I don't know the acutal VEHICLES?? also ILM are not the only company working on TF !
