Will there be a cover of the original theme song?

Seeing as with Transformers every band and their grandma has done a cover of the Transformers theme and pitched it to be included on the soundtrack(s), what do you suppose the odds are that there will be some covers of the classic GI Joe theme song floating around? I'd love to get a high quality update of the theme on the movie's sound track, but I'm not sure what band I'd ideally want to do it.

Anyway, for nostalgia's sake, let's take a gander at the original. :D

Ah, the memories... IMO that song kicks the Transformers theme's ass, so it'd be a shame if we never got a tribute to it to tie in with the movie.

They need to integrate stuff like that in a subtle manner, the way Abrams did in ST and had most of the classic lines added at some point. That movie is honestly to me, the template for any property being brought to the screen...maintain the fun and homages to the original, yet make the threats and drama real.

I didn't really grow up with the cartoon, but I had this movie on VHS and watched it, like, EVERY DAY when I was 3-4. Such amazing memories. Just seeing this video brings it all back.

And it's an awesome song, too.
