Okay.... just been informed of this news story, then heard it mentioned on the radio straight after....
TMZ are reporting that Jacko has been rushed to hospital suffering form a cardiac arrest.
Had a quick peek on a couple of proper news sites... they have nothing.....so it could just be a hoax.

LA times is now reporting, and CNN and MSNBC have sent out tweets. His father has also commented. This is definitely legit.
LA TIMES:

Capt. Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's home around 12:26 p.m. He was not breathing when they arrived. The parademics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda told The Times.

Michael Jackson Dies (http://www.tmz.com/2009/06/25/michael-jackson-dies-death-dead-cardiac-arrest/)
Posted Jun 25th 2009 5:20PM by TMZ Staff (http://www.tmz.com/bloggers/tmz-staff/)
We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.
Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.
Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.
Jackson had 13 number one hits during his solo career.

Only TMZ.com is reporting this so far.
I wonder if this is a way for him to hide away for the rest of his life. Not trying to make fun of him but he has the money to pull something like this off.
It just seems crazy to think that the king of pop died at I would still consider a relatively young age. A heart attack at 50, that's kind of nuts.

From what I know about cardiac arrest, there is about a 10 minute window after you go officially VSA (vital signs absent) that you can be revived. And really about after three minutes you are looking at serious brain damage. Since he was found non-breathing, I think that things aren't looking good for him, even if he is actually alive.

They're reporting on CNN that doctors are saying that resuscitation after ten minutes of cardiac arrest usually result in the victim's death, and after three to five minutes, usually result in death also, but have give the victim higher likelihood of survival, although with severe side effects should the victim live.
Unfortunately, nobody seems to know how long he was dying in his home before he was discovered and/or treated. :(

The sad thing is most of those sites will withhold 'til they get the go ahead from family or whoever but TMZ are typical papparazzi and to be honest will most likely be the first ones at the scene(like with Ledger's death) and they won't care to hold back info as long as it gives them ratings/headlines. So they may be a bunch of papparazzi losers but that doesn't mean that it's false info because it comes from them.

Thats the reason hes dead it has been public knowledge for a while that he had a serious problem with both pain medication and as someone who is a recovering opiate addict (10 months clean babay!) This is what happens and yes it is very sad and tragic despite his past allegations.

He really hasn't ate enough for years. I wonder if being too thin had anything to do with it. Sudden cardiac arrest of course is not the same as a heart attack. Doubt he had clogged arteries, probably just got off rhythm and not enough time to catch it.
Its in all likelihood from his years of opioid addiction. Damn this is like the death of Elvis for my generation

Yeah, now that tour is on hold...forever.
When I was a child growing up in the 80's, I admit that I used to love Michael Jackson's music, when he had his multi-platium album "Thriller". In the years since, I grew out of his music, and got disgusted over his multiple plastic surgeries and child molestation accusation, but Michael Jackson has, and always will be, a musical legend.
I don't think there is much hate, it just hasn't sunk in all the way for everybody yet. That's the thing though isn't it? For me right now, it's like he's SO ALIVE THROUGH HIS MUSIC it's not really registering that's he's gone. It's what legends are made of.
