Starscream is the Decepticon's second-in-comand. He likes to smash the human insects, kill Autobots, try to conquer the Universe and betray Megatron to become the new leader.

He usually losts his arms too. :hehe:

I also love Starscream, but I tough he got A LOT weaker in TF:RotF. In the 1° movie, he was badass. Easily defeated Ratchet and Ironhide, destroyed the whole jet squadron and his relationship with Megatron was perfectly condensed in one line.

In the 2° movie, his treachrous aspect was almost completelly left out, and he actually seems loyal to Megatron. He got a little weaker too.

In the first movie Ironhide shouts "its starscream" and i felt that the autobots thought that he was a big threat and he was because he owned them.

I agree with you that he was nerfed in ROTF. Though with his awkward body, he didnt stand much of a chance against Prime. By the way in the PC game of the first movie he had two large blades coming out of his forearm that he would employ when in melee combat. They were somewhat like wolverine's only bigger and coming from the lower end of the forearm. He didnt use them in the forest though did he? Furthermore, as you point out, he wasnt really treacherous in ROTF. I got the feeling that he was so scared of Megatron that he was barely breathing at his presence. I liked him more in G1 were he was a great fighter (though a coward when things didnt go his way) who would often get in Megatron's face until Megatron decided he had had enough of him.

Now, i dont know how powerful Ironhide is supposed to be (Ratchet cant be so powerful, he is a medic) but with those cannons, those barrelrolls and that voice, he gets off as a veteran, second only to Prime. So when SS beat him and Ratchet, that was special!

The decepticons just werent that big a threat this time.

PS: SS getting beaten with his own hand TWICE (first prime, then meg) was hilarious!

I know it's because of G1, but I don't like squeaky-voice Starscream, and they made his voice squeaker in RotF. I didn't liked that.

I hope Starscream returns to his former glory in TF3.

As for the voice, well that voice makes him sound like Captain Harris from Police Academy, meaning, a complete douchebag. It suits him i'd say hehe :hehe:

idk if its just me but something tells me that if another TF movie is made, Soundwave will die protecting Megs, it probably just me.

Starscream was cool. Sure i kinda liked the cunning Starscream from Transformers animated but i liked how he was designed and so on. :]

Agreed. There's just something about him.

I grew to love him in the Transformer comic: "Reign of Starscream".

"I could have killed him. I was just one shot away but I didn't have enough time". -- Starscream on his chance of killing Megatron at the Mission City fight.

I did love his beefed up role in ROTF, however, I would have liked to see him at least try and fight back against Megatron at least once.

I wish it would have been Starscream that mortally wounded Jetfire as well rather than Scorponok. He was awesome in the movie, but got owned so many times by Prime and Megatron.

Yes, we need Starscream less obedient and more up in Megatron's face and tell him what a lousy leader he is. Of course he needs his cowardly moments, but not 24/7.

Starscream was much like himself in this movie, and I liked his cowardly nature once Megs returned. Hopefully we get some more from him in TF3, where maybe he tries to sway Soundwave into betraying Megs.

I just hope we get a scene of Starscream trying to shoot Megatron in the back or attack him from behind in TF3, would be perfect.

Agreed, when he sees an opening, since at the end of TF2, Starscream realized he couldn't beat the autobots without Megatron right now.

Yeah, plus I doubt Starscream would be willing to take on Prime on his own, especially after the beating Prime give him in the forest.

Just found out Starscream was taking care of the Fallen's return while Megatron was dead, and that he "tatooed" the cybertronian symbols on his body as an symbol of his revenge. Pity that those weren't explored in the movie.

They were explored more in the comics, but yeah, wish they would have gotten a mention in the movie. Megatron maybe asking him, "Do you serve me or The Fallen Starscream?"

I know there are several comics, but did they show how exactly how the Fallen was freed? Because I was looking for it but didn't find anything.

It mentioned in Defiance that once the sun harvester was located, The Fallen would have enough power to free himself. I just took that as he recuperated enough power to free himself once they had located it.

Starscream was always my favorite. Was upset he got killed in the animated movie in 1986 but oh well.

I do think they captured more of the essance of him in ROTF and he defiantely was afraid of Megatron. I mean he did see the writing on the wall and took a step back since the Fallen decreed Megatron's resurrection and the fact that almost all the decepticons were working towards the Fallen's goal. I know I would not try to take over during all that, would wait till a better time.

I did love it when even after Megatron blamed Starscream for all his own failures when he got the snot beaten out of him, an half his face blown off, who does Megatron yell for help from....STARSCREAM. :hehe:

Totally agreed on all of this, I doubt SS would have tried to take over from The Fallen as only a Prime can defeat him so he would probably wait for a more oppurtune moment and an easier to kill leader, like Megatron.

Also, yeah it was awesome when Megatron screamed for SS once half his face was blown off.

Was the guy who did Starscreams voice in ROTF the same guy who did it in TF1?

It was the same voice actor, Charles Adler, for both movies, but I did notice that both Starscream and Megatron had their voices tweaked for this movie. Weaving's voice was less gravelly and Starscream's voice wasn't as digital sounding as in the first one. I loved both voices better in this movie than TF1

Weaving's voice was more apparent this time. In the first i couldnt make out that it was him. I think i liked Megatron's voice more in TF1 only because he was more monstrous and because he sometimes reminded me of Agent Smith in ROTF. Barely, but...

Was great to see more of Starscream and Megatron this time around, althought Starscream wasnt as devious as I wanted him to be, it was still great to him and Megatron at odds a few times in the movie.

A bit more of a devious side in the 3rd movie though and Starscream will be perfect.

I like Starscream as well, but I have to agree. In TFII, he was an effin' weakling, which was really dissapointing.

yeah they toned down the decepticons here so Optimus could kick their asses, while in the first movie Starscream was actually a threat. "Its Starscream!"--Ironhide.

I saw the movie again yesterday, and i love the fact that SS had more dialogue. I think they SLIGHTY screwed up his personality. He's always been a coward per say, but never Megatrons *****. He usually has no problem making it known that he wants to over thrown Megatron, and that he's better than him-leadership wise.

I agree. Starscream definitely seemed a little too afraid of Megatron for my liking. You never really got the feeling that he was just waiting for his opportunity to stab Megatron in the back. It seemed more like that he was too terrified of Megatron to do anything but cower.

That being said, I loved his line about cowards being the ones that survived. That seemed perfect to me.

Yeah, I wish a couple of times when Megatron was beating on him that Starscream would have tried to fight back, or spit at Megatron when his was turned or something like that.
