Good books to start off with if you're new to the character?

With the film to be released in about three years, I really want to catch up on the character(haven't read any Green Lanterns comics in my life). What are some great books to start off with? A lot of people have recommended Rebirth for Hal Jordan's return, but I also want other books that explore the other Lantern corps. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I bought Secret Origins not too long ago and it was the first real Green Lantern story I ever read. I really enjoyed it because I don't know much about GL. I just thought he looked cool. After reading this, it made Hal Jordan one of my favorite superheroes.

The Sinestro Corps War sounds like a good story. I want to see/read some good action between Green Lantern vs. Sinestro.

Not really. While it obviously helps to've read Books 1 and 2, "Wanted:Hal Jordan" is the 'One Year Later' GL tale so can also be considered to be kind of a baggage-free jump on point to the book.

This list hear says that it recommends Secret Origin after the Sinestro Corps books. Personally it makes more sense to start with the origin, but not every hero needs his origin revealed from the beginning.
