View Full Version : I Had A Strange Dream...

IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!!!

But, of course, if your were thinking that it had something to do with 'Spider-Man 4'. You're right. Congratulations.

Anyhow, as the title reads: I had a strange dream, last night. How strange was it? Well, let me explain:

In my dream, I'm alsleep. But suddenly, I hear a strange "clicking" sound come from the living room. So, the annoying sound headed up waking myself up. Out in the living room to inspect, I discover that it's coming from the computer... Which is on. But, not only is it on. It's set to the 'Superhero Hype!' homepage! Walking over to the computer monitor, I begin to decrypt a headline. A headline that reads exactly:

'Spider-Man 4' Villian(s) Revealed!
You'll never guess who's back...

So, with the excitement getting the best of me, I click on the headline to take me to the story. Scrolling past all of the ridiculous and uninforming text, I scroll down to the bottom. There, it read:

"...So, the villains of the upcoming? Believe it or not, Venom! Another report indicates that Chameleon will also be added into the mix, portrayed by Michael Papajohn. The report also revealed that this Venom will not be the "Venom" from the last installment, featuring Eddie Brock Jr (Topher Grace). This one will feature an entirely different "Eddie Brock" by the name of simply: Eddie Brock.

"Some rumor that this "new Eddie Brock/Venom" may be the one we see from the upcoming 'Venom' solo feature scheduled.

"A brief synopsis has been released in the meantime: Starting up a new adventure, from the conclusion of 'Spider-Man 3', 'Spider-Man 4' finds ourselves caught back up with the two lovers Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. However, their love, once again, keeps them seperate, as they try to make way with their daily lives. However, with an assignment from the Daily Bugle, Peter must pay a visit to a mental institution, by the name of Ravencroft, with a fellow Bugle reporter (Ned Leeds) to investigate a man. Claiming to be "the real Eddie Brock"."

Frightening... Frightening, how an imagination can pick up such a crazy-insane idea like that. Ugh... This kind of storyline worries me. But, at the same time, it oddly thrills me. Knowing what they could do with this material. However, what scares me is how far out of the character's territories they'll be willing to step outside of. And, not just with Eddie Brock. But, with Peter Parker, as well. I hope that if they're going to use such a storyline, they would have the courage to keep the characters original flavours and personalities. Especially with Spider-Man. I don't want to see him be "Peter Parker in a costume" again. I want to see the character grow into the Spider-Man we know. But, of course, that'll be out of the question if Tobey can't pull off the persona...

Anyhow, that was my strange dream. I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any past/present dreams to post about this topic, post away. :yay:

That's some hellacious dream recollection.

I had a dream of a Spidey/Electro fight before the villains for S-M3 was announced. It was pretty wicked ...and more likely wishful thinking.

I want Electro as the main villian in Spidey 4. Him or Mysterio.

Sometimes I have Spidey-dream in the form of movie-trailers for the upcoming film. Before SM3 hit theaters I had a dream that featured Sandman bursting out of a building of glass. He was also able to enlongate his arms, similiar to what he did in the final battle. It was kind of a foreshadowing thing :)

A few months ago I dreamed of a blonde girl that was standing in front of the Bugle, looking kinda lost. Then peter wants to enter the Bugle and she asks him for directions. It then turns out that she's Felicia Hardy. And that sequence was just a short flash in a trailer for SM4.

Oh, man. Electro would've been perfect for 'Spider-Man 3'. Hell, any of the movies, for that matter. He's such a complex character and yet, at the same time, he would just be a spectacle of villain to have on-screen. Just like most of Spidey's rogues gallery. We need a villain with an over-the-top visual-style. And, what better to have than a man bursting with electricity?

Mysterio is one of those villains that I feel Sam Raimi could pull off, especially with his past resume. 'Darkman' being the perfect movie held as an example, of course. At the time, and still, it was such a clever movie with so many great moments that when watching it for the first-time, you question what's going to transpire. Like the double-Durant scene. How they did that was a master of illusions and it would be nice to see Raimi delve back into that area.
Wow, lol.
Don't laugh at me. :oldrazz:

I usually get a lot of ideas for stuff like that. However, I never usually "dream" about it (unless I'm planning it out further). But, for some reason, last night that dream of mine just popped into my head. For a moment, I almost thought it was real. Only to have myself wake-up and turn my eye to the alarm clock which read 2:01AM. Ugh, crazy.

I had a dream that I was watching Spider-Man 4 for a couple of months ago. The Lizard was the main villain and he was attacking a zoo, trying to release the Rhino because he knew a formula or something. Peter and MJ where there at the zoo(what a coincedence) and Peter had to change into Spider-Man which made Mary Jane pissed because they were having a good time at the zoo and they both got mad at each other. So Spidey fought the Lizard and was all like "you must be stopped!" or something.

That's all I remember.

I also remember that I had a dream about Spider-Man 3 before it came out, Peter and MJ were getting married in my house and Sandman, Venom and Harry/Goblin wanted to ruin it so I trapped them in this huge webbing under my house and yeah it didin't make any sense.

After SM3 came out, I had a dream that the symbiote found me at my house and was trying to take me over. I had to fight it, and whatnot. Then it followed my to my grandma's house, and I think I defeated it using her microwave.

That's one hell of a memory for a dream you have :hehe:

I had a Spider-Man dream recently too, I put it into the first post of my "Spidey Tricks" thread. It was probably one of my favorite Spidey dreams I've ever had (I might've had 3 I can remember) Here it is againSo, I had a dream of me as Spidey again, gah I love those. I wasn't in a Spidey outfit though, I was on my campus in a black leather jacket with red stripes going down the side and black gloves :word:. I was swinging around the campus avoiding the task of having to walk to class etc. :funny:

And one of the things that happened was me stopping a girl who was driving her pickup with her boyfriend so I could tell her something about the guy she had in her passenger seat. I swung up next to the truck and began talking with her. The boyfriend began getting agitated and I told him to cool it and relax because she needed to hear this. This guy obviously didn't want me to tell her what my problem with him was and opened his car door but I shot a web at his right hand (wrist) and tied the other end around the truck's left car wing mirror and told him to settle down. :funny: He was struggling and pulling on it with no success and I shot another web at his mouth before he could speak again.

I told the girl everything I needed to tell her and she grabbed her backpack from the backseat and took a pair of scissors out and tried to cut the web with them. It wouldn't break at all and told her it's much stronger than that. I used my Spidey strength to rip the web off the mirror and still holding and pulling on it (with the guy also still struggling with the web around his wrist) I aimed it at his face and let go, creating a loud smack to his face and knocking him out unconscious. :lmao: I told the girl "You have a good day, miss." and swung away after that :spidey: (Don't you love Spidey dreams? :applaud)

This is really funny, I had a dream today when I was taking a nap.

I was watching a computer monitor, and It was snowing and Peter's hands were tied together in front of him and he was falling onto a roof in the snow and his mask was off. The scene just kept repeating. Above this scene there was a scene from Spectacular Spider-Man with him without his mask in the winter.

So guess what? I had a dream last night that The Lizard was destroying my home town.

Let's hope that this is a coincidence. :liz:
