How about either David Boreanaz or Nathan Fillion? Maybe that might satisfy many fans who wanted one of them as Hal.

doug's name has been thrown out many times by posters here. I would be totally down with him. Though if i recall he is due to be possibly filming something during the time gl is due to start up. But Abin Sur's role could be very small and only need like a few days to do.

Does Doug have an epic voice for Abin Sur?
I've only seen him in F4:2 and he didn't do the Surfer's voice.

That was Doug Jones as the Silver Surfer in the fan trailer.
I saw get Doug Jones back then have Ron Pearlman do Abin's voice

Doug Jones acting a Ron Pearlman voiced object would be one of the most uncreative events in cinematic history.

Good God, can we actually come up with someone other than Doug Jones please? HOw unoriginal are we? Just because it's an alien doesn't mean we need Jones. I'm sure there are alot of capable actors out there who can do it too.

Jones is one of the best. He'd be perfect for this.

Yea with abin so many actors could fit the character well. Plus since his role will probably only end up being 2-5mins max makes you wonder do they want to go lesser known actor for cheap or go with a big name guy for atleast voice and throw a chunk a change at that actor.

He is awesome. Good one.
But it's such an easy role to cast... the only requirement is an epic voice.

Yea so many people could be a good fit for the role. As i said we dont know how long of the role in the film will be. Would they want to just go with some random actor for cheap price, or would they want to get some known guy to do it and pay a large fee to him for such a small role.

Well even if doug was cast as abin couldnt rule out him doing multiple roles like he did in hellboy two, plus it would be a good way to save on casting more people if they want to keep all the main actors's budget at a fixed price.

imo i think someone else other than doug should get the role. i love doug and i think hes a great actor, but that would be typecasting if they got doug to do it, and im not a big fan of typecasting.
