Ha ha you will deny it cheif but that means you recently saw Fracture and that's why Bob Gunton is in the list :)
You didn't choose him for Shawshank ;)
Hahaha. I swear, I just saw Shawshank Redemption in my motion pictures class a week ago, went home, and put Gunton on the list.

Now where is superboy, rob, iphus, singularity, and ruthmarks? ;)

I don't know how good I am at casting, but take a look. You may find some of these a little odd or maybe it's a little too stacked with stars, but it IS a Superman movie we're talking about.

I know it's not finished yet, this is just what I have so far.
lol, Dr.Cox as Brainiac.
Brainiac: Now listen here Kryptonian, I'm going to pretend you actually pose a threat to me and you're going to hit me as hard as you can and wait for it, I'm going to send an energy blast and knock you away, Which you will then fight back and surprise I send another energy blast towards you!
:D Sorry I had to, Good choices though.

You know, I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention this guy for Lex. If he's the guy I'm thinking of (from the Patriot) I think he'd make a terrific villian!
Hehe...actually, in the pre-SR days when we still thought that the new movie was going to be a re-start, I suggested Jason Isaacs to play Lex. He was, and still is a great choice.

I said it in another thread,i'll say it here to.
I would love for Lex to be in it, but as a cameo only.
Have him up in Lexcorp tower, sipping on a drink and watching the fight between the league and the omacs. He's not really pulling for either side, but he's ready to take advantage of the outcome.
Lois could be reporting the fight live on T.V., with just a quick cameo of her as well.

I loved Spacey's Lex, definitely the best actor and portrayal in the entire movie IMO.
I think Zane could do a great job.

Milo V is wrong for Superman. The most he could hope for is perhaps Spider-man at best.
Biel is too much of an emotionless ***** for Lois Lane. The Lois character has that aspect to her but Biel can't bring the heart to the character. Its out of her comfort zone and range.
Jayma Mays is unattractive. Not that Lana needs to be a knockout; but after we got Annette O'Toole....they should cast that part better than Jayma.
Phoniex is okay for Luthor but I've heard more threatening, imposing actors for the role.

I don't know, something just clicked for me when I thought of him as day-dreaming Clark Kent and Superman.
We don't really know what she could do with the right script, you know?
I find her really sweet... honestly... what do you think of Phoenix and Rockwell?

Phoenix could work I guess.
I cant comment on Rockwell objectively; I havent seen him in enough films.

My ideal casting can not be in a movie on this times because they are not mostly alive.
But here they are.
Superman and Clark Kent: Christoper Reeve and if we need some one that not be Reeve for young Clark would be brandon Routh.
Jor El : a young Marlon Brando
Lara: Cecilia Milone
Lois Lane: I dont know for sure, but someone who looks like margot kidder, like courtney cox or a woman like her.
Lex Luthor; Telly Savalas
Perry Withe: George Peppard
Jimmy Olsen: a young Mat Damon
Pa kent : Glenn ford
Martha : eva mari saint
Supergirl Milla Jovovich
Lana Lang: Mia farrow

Would you prefer a McG superman, another smallville, or maybe another X3. Listen Superman Returns is just the begining. Singer has said that the next superman will be his Wrath of Kahn. X2 was much better than X-Men 1. Just give the guy a chance. I trust him, we should all trust him, he loves Supes, and knows how to make good movies. Let's go out there and let the world know that the next Superman MUST be a SINGER/ROUTH Superman. Let's give them a chance, because the alternative is horrifying!:super: :super:

Casting these two for a flashback would be more useful than using clips from Smallville.

Clark/Superman: Matthew Fox.

Brainiac: Josh Holloway
Darkseid: Vin Diesel (make up)

Oh but you'll cast the rest of the cast and a couple of OC rejects in Clarke and Lucio?:cmad: :woot: KK for Life!!
Look I really dont know the point in retooling and rebooting the franchise to make it an origin story per say. Truth be told I was sort of cool with the idea of SR being a sequel of sorts to Donner's work.
I just would have cast it a little better (although I think the actors did the best they could under the circumstances) and done a better story. I wouldnt bother with getting a young cast, I would set them in today's timeline so to speak and have them 30-40 year olds playing the characters in there 30s
Clark Kent/Superman- Geard Butler. dude seems to have that For Tommorrow Superman swagger about him. Casting him as Clark might be a problem but I dont hink Kent has to be a bumbling wreck. He can still be mild-mannered.
Lois Lane- Carla Guigino- To me she is Lois Lane, hands down and would nail the role so well especially Lo in her 30s.
Lex Luthor- Billy Zane. Yeah I'll go with him, Spacey is the best choice but as an alternate I think he can play serious and sinister Lex quite well.
Perry White- Tommy Lee Jones. This may seem like the wildcard cause I was gonna for Elliot Gould but it terms of Southern tough guy swag, I think Lee would be intresting if not obvious choice who would nail it in his own right.
Mercey Graves- Milla Jovavich (sp?)- Pretty cliched choice but I think she has the look if you add blonde hair.
Brainiac-Ben Kingsley. I really am kinda unsure about this choice but I dont think Brainiac himself neccessarily has to go to battle with Superman, so I let it slide but after You Kill Me, I guess he still has that exhuburance to play a killer type guy still.
Jor-El-Sean Bean I would only have him in breif flashbacks and in the FOS
Lara-Diane Lane- Again only in Flashbacks but she has that motherly presence to her.
Lana Lang- Rachel McAdams- She's early 30's now so I give her a pass. Plus she has that girl-next-door vibe to her.
Jimmy Olsen- Brett Harrison- Mad underrated comedic perfomer and his work on Grounded For Life, The Loop and Reaper is enjoyable.
That's all I can think of.
Now for a director, Im gonna go a little left of the field and pick Peter Berg. Loved his work, is a real student of Michael Mann and much like Nolan I think his dead serious approach to film making tone can work even with a character as colourful as Superman. I dont know I can kinda see him pulling it off

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Butler, but I just don't see him as Superman. Personally, I'd pick Eric Bana or Jim Caviezel.

Can he even do an American accent?
Aside from that, I agree that if they ever do 'reboot' Superman within this generation, it won't be an origin tale again.

Why does "Can he do an American Accent" always a questionable criteria for some people? Like for foreign actors the American Accent is the most easiet accent to do cause they grew up watching the movies and shows in there country. I have yet to see a foreign actor not master it.
The War Machine
01-24-2008, 09:25 AM
The thing is I've never seen him attempt it for any of his roles. Some people can do it, some can't.
I've seen alot of lesser known foreign actors unable to do it properly without slipping.
I think Michael Trucco is a better fit if you want a badass Superman in that age range.

Yeah Sam was a great casting choice imo, he got very far into the process but when it was decided it was Singer and a returns story, he was just too young for the part. Many at the WB were regarding him highly, I feel he would have been a top choice had they gone with an origin story.

My Ideal Cast at this moment would be:
Superman/Clark Kent - An Unknown, because I think that for a role as big as this one a recognizable face would be too distracting, but if the studio really wanted a name actor I could maybe spring for Josh Hartnett, or even Routh, both are about 30, the right age to play the part
Lois Lane - Keri Russell, she is a really good, beautiful actress, and is also the right age for the part
Lex Luthor - Daniel Day Lewis, lets face it DDL can pretty much do anything you throw at him, and he'd probably pull off a more serious and sinister Lex that has never truly been done, he is definitely one of the best actors around right now, but he is about 50 or so
Perry White - Hugh Laurie, ever since I first heard that he was originally cast in SR I've always thought of how great of a Perry he would of been, his work in House also convinces me he is the ideal man for the role
Jimmy Olsen - Shia Labeouf, he is a pretty darn good actor, and Jimmy is a comic relief character which Shia does well, not to mention he is once more the right age to play the role
Jonathan Kent - Kevin Costner, he has proved before that he can play this type of role, and he is just old enough now to where he could play Pa Kent
Martha Kent - I am really stumped on this role, the only person I came up with was Karen Allen, but I am not 100% sold on her for Ma Kent, but she would match Costner's age well
Jor-El - Johnny Depp, I know he has been mentioned many times before for this part, but that is because he could truly pull off this role really well, plus I like the idea of a middle-aged Jor-El in a reboot
Lara - Catherine Zeta-Jones, she is beautiful and could match Johnny's age really well
Metallo (if he was in it) - Jason Statham, he is a magnificent action movie star, and for a physical role like Metallo he'd be perfect
Brainiac (if he was in it) - Hugo Weaving, he is just about the only actor around right now who could truly pull off the part
As for the writer(s) and director, I don't want any big names personally, because I don't feel that any big name writer or director around right now is a good match for the Man of Steel. For a character like Superman you need a person, or persons, with a genuine love and understanding for the character for a good Superman film to actually make it; that is how Batman Begins succeeded, because two men with a love and understanding for the character got together and delivered a superb story. The next team behind Superman should be an unknown director and writer, and I would say do what WB did for Batman Begins and look at the independent film industry for the right talent to realize the Man of Steel, just because many of these guys have never done a big budget film before doesn't mean they can't do it. I just don't want to see big names come in and kill the franchise because they didn't truly understand the characters and were only in it for the money.
I would generally cast a bit older than Singer did. I would love to see Jim Caviezel as the Man of Steel. He is an excellent actor and has a more mature, centered and purposeful demeanor than most actors. Plus he has the perfect look for Clark/Superman. Cast an older Lois Lane and bingo! I know it's not gonna happen but I can dream!
I am sick of Jimmy C..
He doesn't even look like the MOS!

No way would I want Anders as Clark/Supes. Helo, yes!!!
Kevin Costner was the moving hole in Robin Hood. Things were happening all around; it was mostly a fantastic movie - but it was pretty dead where he was. Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, just about anyone else would have been much better. Wouldn't want Costner in a Superman movie for anything, though it's a tough call if I had to choose between getting him or Nicolas Cage.
Skip Karen Allen. Rewatched the original Indy this weekend; was not impressed with her acting.
I think Joaquin Phoenix could indeed play a physical villain. He glares well enough to convince audiences that he'd as soon slit their throats as go out for a drink with them.

Henry Cavill could be in pretty much anything (or nothing ;-> ) and I'd watch it.
Billy Zane reminds me of the guy who played Xerxes in 300. Must be the eyeliner/mascara look.
Rachel Mac: she's one of my top hopes as a replacement Lois in SR:2, but if they rebooted she'd be great as Lana. Wouldn't mind her trying her hand as Cat either but I see Cat as being obviously older than Clark. Maybe Gretchen Mol, now that you mention her.
Lea Thompson (Back to the Future) as Ma Kent? Pass. Marrrr-ty! Clarrr-kie!
Martin Sheen is cranky and he'd be fine as Perry but I'd prefer someone else.
Kevin Durand was great as Joshua and would be great to have in a Superman film. Doesn't have to be as Parasite. Would prefer to see him get a girl.
Tom Hanks? Love his acting most of the time (NOT that horrible thing where he tried to rip off the woman to use her house for smuggling) but he doesn't belong in a Superman movie. Not unless you want to do a joke-reboot starring him and Meg Ryan, with Billy Crystal as Lex or maybe Perry. Now that, I'd watch. Cary Elwes as Jimmy. Robin Wright as Lex's moll who has a soft spot for both Superman and Jimmy. "Princess Joe's Volcano and Sally." How about it, SNL? Cracked? Please?
I know he's crazy about the character, but I don't want to see Jerry Seinfeld in any Superman-related anything.
Not a clue who quite a few of those people are.

Lex Luthor: Jason Isaacs
http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/MMPH/242581~Jason-Isaacs-Posters.jpg
Isaacs could pull off an sinister and evil Lex Luthor in his sleep. Isaacs would be the man to go to if the studio wanted a truly evil Lex Luthor. Just watch one of the "Harry Potter" movies and try to tell me he couldn't play a wonderfully evil Lex Luthor. The man's an evil genius.
Perry White: Alan Arkin
http://img2.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/061201/163429__arkin_l.jpg
While it may be an odd choice, I believe Arkin could pull off the Perry White character very well. Watch his work in "Little Miss Sunshine" to test his acting chops.
Jimmy Olsen: Michael Cera
http://www.michaelcera.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/michael_cera_hot25.jpg
Look at him in the above picture. He IS Olsen. Watch him in "Superbad" where he plays a character that seems mildly similar to Olsen.

Sorry MostPowerful, I love ya but your praise/defense of Routh can be overbearing at times and hypocritical.
I disliked SR, I've made that clear in my comments. I have no issues with Routh. If they bring him back, fine, if they don't, fine. But it's people like MostPowerful, that makes part of me hope that Routh is not brought back. I just can't take her obsessive defense of that man as if she has a shrine in her room of him and worships the dude. Some of the stuff she writes is nauseating.
I haven't been following the casting threads so if there are Cavill fans like how MP is with Routh, then I really hope neither is cast and we get a complete unknown. I'm leaving Welling out of this because he has zero chance of actually suiting up as Superman on the big screen. It will never happen, people just need to realize that.
But certain people, and I'm looking at you MP because you seem to be the worst offender, need to realize that these characters are much bigger than the actors themselves. They will be around long after these actors have passed on. And not just one actor can play them, or was born to play them or one can't see the movie if that actor doesn't return, PLENTY of actors can play these characters. And that goes for Batman, Spider-Man, Iron Man and so on and so forth.

The love and hate for each of the actors goes both ways. There are people who come in and post every day about nothing other than what a bad actor they think Routh is. They put up pictures with his hair on a plank of wood. Etc.
Meanwhile, Cavill fans come in here repeatedly with phrases such as: "He is a Greek God." "He was born to play Superman." "Those who want Cavill are the only ones on these boards who really appreciate the fine art of acting."
Being the one who created the Routh as a plank of wood chop, I'd just like to point out that I don't solely post to bash Routh.*
But you're absolutely right when you say it goes both ways. I haven't been privvy to the quotes you posted that supposedly come from Cavill supporters, but I've seen a few gems about Routh, including, but not limited to, "Routh IS Superman!" "Routh was great as Superman. Fact." and "If you're not a Routh fan, you're not a true Superman fan."*
That being said, if everyone agreed on everything, this place would surely become boring and possibly cease to exist. Opinions sometimes offend people.*
I wasn't saying anything against you or Cavill...I stepped into the party late so sorry if it seemed so. I actually think facially he has an awesome look for Superman that has only gotten better over these last few years.
I didn't take it as anything against me or Cavill, mate. It's all gravy. I was just clarifying my previous post so that it didn't seem like I was saying that ANY actor could play Superman, regardless of their height. Movie magic is one thing - Movie miracles are another.

If I find a Cavill fan as bad as you. Sure. :cwink: I've said if there are as obsessive Cavill fans then I hope neither Routh or Cavill is used for the next one. I think I was being fair there.
Well, thankfully you don't make the calls!
LOL, intimidate you? Over a messageboard? I am not trying to intimidate you. Simply pointing out how over the top you can be with your support of an actor and how much of a turn off that is to me liking him.
Well, that's clearly your problem and you will have to learn to deal with it. I'll continue with my support as usual. :cwink:
Damn right, Superman fan. And what I saw in SR was hardly Superman but that debate is for another thread. So why would I want to watch a continuation of something that did not interest me at all as a Superman fan. My issues don't stem with who played Superman and if so and so doesn't play him I will not see it. It has to do with characterization and story.
You are no different than me.
Wait, wait, wait - did you really just say that?!
So, if there is a complete reboot with a completely new cast, yes, "we" get that. But, unless I'm mistaken, which I'm not, you Brandon/SR fans have... what was it? Oh yeah!! Superman Returns!
What's very unfair about that?
It is unfair because a lot of us want MOAR of the awesomeness that is Routh as Superman. :word:

I don't think it's casting the WB has to be concerned about when it comes to the GA. At least not when it comes to Clark/Superman. The supporting cast is where WB can bring big names that will attract the GA. What they shoulld be concerned about, is about making a movie that the GA will enjoy and faithful to the character so that the fans can be happy as well. Of course they won't be able to please every Superman, that's impossible, but that's not the point.

Heres a few rank outsiders in my mind..
Adam Baldwin - I'm not sure what he looks like more recently, however he has a good strong voice & could definatly pass for a more established Man Of Steel IMO
http://www.geekshow.us/wp/wp-content/uploads/AdamBaldwin.jpg
Scott Porter - For what reason I don't know.. he was rumored for Superman & Flash in the JLA movie however nothing ever came of it but I was silently optimistic, I thought in the picture below he had.. something Superman'ish, I just couldn't quite understand what it was. Meh decide for yourselves :)

^I think one can say SR didn't get the business WB thought it would, not because of the actor in the role, but because of the lack of action. Will Smith could have been Superman and it wouldn't have made that much of a difference. You still need the other elements.

I'm not saying they should cast some random guy from the street. My point was that WB shouldn't be concerned with who they cast as Superman based on the GA. If they wanted to cast Superman for the GA, why not cast a big, known actor? That's all I'm saying.
GreenKToo
08-04-2009, 01:12 PM
Whatever they decide, I hope they surround the guy with some very well known actors.
Like Depp as Jor-el
Day-Lewis as Lex
Ed Harris as Perry
Dennis Quaid as jonathan
Geena Davis as martha.
Nolan had a first rate cast for B.B. and TDK, and I hope they follow suit with the next Superman film.
WB really digs Porter and wants to put him somewhere in the DC universe, in regards to the dude from Chuck. I could actually see him as a bad ass Lex.
Porter has something about his look in particular that image above that just says 'superhero', which superhero is up for debate but he might be able to pull off Superman, saying that I've never seen him in act..
Dunno since I've seen Timothy Olyphant bald in Hitman combined with the way I've seen him act in other films, I think he might make a really bad ass Lex.
I can't see it myself in Baldwin.. I actually think he voiced Superman in an animated series although I'm probably mistaken..

About Scott Porter, Here's a little snippet from an interview thats about two years old. He's a CB geek as well.
Newsarama: How big a fanboy would you say you are?
Scott Porter: I’d say I’m pretty big. On a scale of one to 10, I’d give myself an eight. (laughs) I used to be huge into everything X-Men. For the longest time, that was what I knew the most about. When I got older, as a teenager, I was into Image, and for a while, I walked away from it. When I got back, I wanted a more diverse collection, so I started reading a lot of DC, and a lot of more independent titles as well. I’ve got a pretty diverse pull list now, but I know a lot about a lot. (laughs)
I think the thing that pushes me over the edge is the fact that I game as well. I’m really big into HeroClix, I placed 11th at Worlds in WizardWorld Philly a couple years back. I’m really into fantasy as well, like Dragonlance, and Lord of the Rings and I’ve played role-playing games and video games for a while.
NRAMA: About how many comics would you say you own?
SP: Oh man…I would say…gosh, 23 longboxes, plus I’ve got a bunch stacked around my apartment in Austin, where we film the show. I don’t know the exact count. I’ve considered selling the older ones, but I just can’t bring myself to do it.

Oh so the issue of nationality is "ridiculous," but the rational of "starring in a Woody Allen movie" isn't? Gotcha. And since when does McG's taste matter as a positive? This is the same guy who made Terminator: Salvation, and his ideas didn't exactly go over well with the fanbase or the general public.

Cavill looks great in that manip, nice job. He really is one of the better choices, talent, charm, charisma, a great look. That is probably why Warner's will pass.
Don't know much about Heughan, but he does look good.
Porter really does have some sort of "IT" factor working in his favor. He is talented, smart, and has the combination of sincere Clark and commanding Superman look about him. He alson doesn't have the CR feel to him, but have others have said a long time ago, he does have a certain George Reeves vibe to him. I could live with him being chosen, and I bet he could do a good job and make the role his own. The cast of Friday Night Lights is quite talented, and Porter was never out acted in a scene. He does seem to draw you in, which can only be a good thing.

Henry Cavill did a good job in The Tudors and in Whatever Works, and imo Woody Allen is one of the best and respectful directors ever, so work with him can improve a lot your resumé. Plus, if Cavill was set to portray Superman in the past, whoever was the director, I don't think WB really care about the nationality, if he does an american accent.

I liked Routh as Superman, but in a reboot, which means a restart, I think most of people will be confused to see the same Superman in a different universe, just that. And to replace him, I think Cavill is a good choice.
Could you people respect my opinion? I give plausible arguments for my choice, why don't you do the same instead of being disrespectful and trying to change what I and other Cavill's supporters say?
Let's improve the level of this discussion.

Oh boy.
If the studio isn't sticking with Routh, they aren't going to select the next Superman based on how pretty your sigs are in the person you support or how many metrosexual looking photos you post of the guy you want for the role.
If WB starts from scratch, you can be sure they aren't going to be stuck in this time warp where Welling, Cavill, and Bomer are the only candidates for the roll.

Cavill was not in consideration for Superman Returns, Cavill said so himself.
But he was in Justice League. It doesn't really matter, he was too young for the part in 2005, now he's in the right age.
I don't know if he is perfect for the role, I never said that, I just think he deserves a chance, he really demonstrates interest in this role.
I feel bad for Routh, the reboot of the franchise should have been made back in 2006, Returns doesn't work, now they have to reboot, so Brandon should, and he actually is, looking for new roles.

Hugh Jackman is not an arrogant jerk, Brad Pitt is not an arrogant Jerk. Will Smith is not an arrogant Jerk, Tom Hanks is not an arrogant jerk. Those are real actors. Not pretty boys with a huge ego. And Cavill has not demonstrated he is a great actor. Maybe he is, I don't know. But he barely talks in the Tudors.
Sorry, but Hugh Jackman, Brad Pitt and Will Smith are NOT real or GREAT actors. They are just force fed to mainstream audiences so damn much into thinking they are "real" actors. None of those guys are great actors IMO at all.

If WB decides to replace Brandon, then I think they should use him as Jor-el in the reboot. That should satisfy his fans a little.
It would be better to have him in it a little, than not at all.
I so would have loved to see Chris Reeve play Jor-El. I've thought that since before his accident. Routh would be OK, or Dean Cain. They're not "Brando level" actors, but I think it would be cool to have a former Superman in the role. Depending on Jor-El's role in the story, you may not need someone with an "epic" clout to them.
I do agree though, that we need a BB/STM type cast Welling, Routh, Cavill or a relative unknown as Superman, with bigger name actors in the supporting roles. Someone mentioned Ed Harris as Perry, but I see him more as Lex. Lane Smith was a perfect Perry! IMO he is to Perry, what Chris Reeve is to Superman. I'd love to see Bruce Greenwood as Jonathan Kent. I don't really have any other names that I'm completely sold on for roles.

Bruce Greenwood would make a solid Pa Kent, but I'd also like to see him as Perry.

Well, I havent really heard this guy mentioned much, so i'm gonna say Wentworth Miller.
I like Wentworth a lot, but I think he should play the Silver Surfer/Norrin Radd, not Superman. Just my opinion, though. I think he did audition for Supes back when Ratner was on the project.
Ironically, Wentworth has a small role in the upcoming film Town Creek, which stars Cavill.

So far, I'm still hoping for Cavill or John Hamm. I don't necessarily think either of them are going to land the role, but well, you never know. They're both good actors (at least they've proven in to me), and I think either one could make an interesting Superman.
I just don't understand how, every time an actor is mentioned on these boards, whether its an old name of a new one, it seems like ten people suddenly spring up and say "Haha yoor sutpid he''ll Never Get teh roll!" I mean, what's the point of posting in the thread then? Maybe whatever actor you're in favor of DOESN'T have a chance in hell, but none of us really has any inside track that I can tell.

Yeah, good point. Speaking of Star Trek actors, one name that someone brought up again recently was Eric Bana. I know he played the Hulk, but since Ed Norton has taken over that role now and it's been a long time, I don't think people would instantly associate him with it any longer. I have a little trouble seeing him as Superman, but I don't think it's impossible. The guy is a great actor... he was incredible in Munich and Chopper. I know he definitely wouldn't have a problem getting the build for the role, either.

I've always seen Bana more as Batman than Superman.
In general, a lot of the validity of our casting choices depend on if the next film is about Superman's early years, or an established Superman. I think Bana is a bit old for a "rookie" Superman.
I think that is as far as the age argument should go. Not how old is the actor, but do/can they look the age of the character at the time. For example, for an origin movie Clark should be 25-30, so the question is can/does the actor in question LOOK that age.

You have what to go off of this? Nothing? Thought so. Singer specifically said on a number of occasions that he never once told Routh "do it like Christopher Reeve." Oh I forgot. You just know otherwise. :whatever:
It had nothing to do with McG. But you just bring up that Cavill was McG's top choice, and thus McG is a genius. Seriously.
You have what regarding Cavill being a great choice now? Episodes of The Tudors and the Woody Allen film, and manips. That's it. Wow. That sure "proves" Cavill is the perfect guy to wear the red-and-blue suit.
And yeah the nationality issue is legit.
I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK. This is a free board and i'm allowed to chose however i want for Superman. I wasn't talking about Mcg, dude! Read my posts! I was talking about the nationality issue. Wb hired McG as director for the movie and he chose Cavill. WB agreed with that. So OBVIOUSLY THEY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT HIS NATIONALITY. This came from Cavill's mouth!!!!
Howeverm, the movie wasn't greenlit because they went with Bryan Singer love for the Donner movies and who cast Routh just because of his similarity if Christopher Reeve ( I don't need to see this comming from Singer's mouth to understand he was kissing Donner's ass. SR is enough proof to me.) .Now WB, hopefully, learned their lesson cause they lost milllions of dollars with SR and there is no propesct for a sequel. That's enough proof to validate my reasoning. A reboot is comming and any choice for Superman is valid until i hear something official. And by that i mean VARIETY.
I just think it's pretty strange for someone who is an "insider" in the business and almost a moderator here to vow such eloquent opinions. Journalists are supposed to be even. Chill out.
End of story. I'm not going to discuss this anymore.
