Wouldn't the World's Greatest Detective realize that a full frontal assault, backhanded sneaky assault, anything he flippin tries would be less than useless against this guy?
Wouldn't it also stand to reason, that he would be better put to use by figuring out what this guy's weakness is by watching people with real powers like the Green Lanterns, Flash and Wonder Woman, get trashed, and their powers absorbed by Tyrant, and pass that info along to people that could make use of it Like Superman, and J'onn.
None of that would put him directly into the battle, but it would be a reason why he might still be standing in the end.
My only revision is that maybe Plastic Man might still be standing.

Justice Alliance needs some more heavy hitters for this one and Bats is no Reed Richards.
Maybe if Ray gave Flash his belt he might be able to shrink down and dismantle him fast enough, but again, the second Tyrant becomes aware of him he'll use the tech against him to grow him back to a size he can handle... at least Flash might be able to get the hell out when he sees that happening.
But I can't exactly see Ray handing the belt over... so Tyrant.

Colossus is practically immune to Grodd's telepathy. Grodd is probably just as strong and fast as Colossus, and he has some telekinetic ability. All in all, Grodd's smarter, has powers that Colossus can't deal with directly, and is a match for Colossus physically.
Unfortunately, in a bland arena (i.e. no heavy stuff for Grodd to throw at Piotr both physically and telekinetically, no innocent bystanders that Grodd can take control of to distract his heroic opponent, and no high tech stuff that Grodd can repurpose for his own use), there's not a whole lot Grodd could do against Colossus one on one.
He'd have a better chance against a team of X-Men than just this one.

The immune to telepathy thing confuses me, I never knew that. Colossus is stronger than Grodd physically too. In Marvel they say how Colossus could lift like 70 tons when he was younger--so within the range Grodd would be--but now that he is much older he hit like the 100 class.
Genesis 1.0
01-08-2011, 05:50 PM
Psylocke, Rachel, and the Stepfords have all tried to manipulate or in Rachel's case, contact Colossus via telepathy and it's been a no go. I've never seen anyone use telepathy to any effect against him in the modern age. Ever. Wikipedia and Marvel agree on that stat, so I guess I didn't miss anything.
Physically, they're both heavy hitters of comparable power, but they've got drastically different strategies.
