Could we be ready for a new Addams family movie. I was thinking about this, and i feel that if we got the right director, the right cast, we could have a really good Addams movie, now nothing beats Raul Julia (http://forums.superherohype.com/name/nm0000471/) performance as Gomez but i think there is an actor who may do gomez justice, Also what if Tim Burton directed it, any thoughts?
Picture below is what i feel would make a perfect cast.

what about a long overdue Munsters movie?

I'm shocked that they made it back then in the early 90s.

I thought the last ones they did were as good as it's going to get.

I'd like a new Addams Family, but in stop motion instead of live action.

And that cast is just.... Kevin Smith as Fester?!

na they need to revitalise the franchise, and munsters wont work because in my oppinion there isnt the right cast for it yet.

I really think that the boat for the Addams Family has came and went.

not so, the addams family has always been a testing ground for dark humour... of late alot of comedies have been spoof... we're (to which i mean the consumers) are moving away from Spoof, were getting board of comedies like Scary Movie, and comedies like American Pie, they have been rocking that boat for some time... But something has become appartent...Dark Comedy is coming back. The first indication seemed to be in the feel good franchise... Did anyone see Hot Rod? it uses alot of Dark Humour

I do believe that if you have the right people, anything could be potentially be great. I just think if there is another Addams Family movie, there would have to be some major support, like a powerful producer or director, to back the project up.

We aren't exactly getting bored of spoof , the genre is producing horrible films. I thought Hot Rod seemed more like a spoof..

The lastest trend in comedy is bromance and gross out humour.

The original Charles Addams cartoons were awesomeness personified.

Someone suggested Andy Serkis as Gomez Addams and I can't really see anyone else in the part now.

No.

Let the Broadway show continue forward untainted with horrible dream castings that are soon to take over this thread.

We already have two good Addams films and one that I heard was mediocre.

We don't need any new ones.

Depends on the cast, director, and art direction. I would rather see a Nightmare before X-mas/ Coraline stop motion version of the Addams Family. I would even bring back Ricci as Wednesday.

Never, ever Tim Burton. Wouldn't let him touch it.

Btw, if Burton directs guess who'd be fired before the production starts.

i wouldnt be suprised if every year for the last 10 years they are calling Burton to make this movie.

Nope, Burton should not get this property. He's done a dozen thing like it already, it's better when someone like Barry Sonnenfeld does it, we got two great movies out of it.

Yeah, no Addams Family for Burton, please... I would've liked to see him do Scooby-Doo, though.

Addams Family with Burton would a phone-in job. I like Burton and all, but that's too on the nose.
