MTV Splash Page blog editor Rick Marshall says, "I interviewed Stan Lee during Comic-con, and asked him about that late-'90s deal that almost had him and Michael Jackson buying Marvel Comics. During his response, he mentioned that Jackson wanted to buy the rights to Spider-Man so he could make a movie... or possibly to star in it?! It's an intriguing "What If?" scenario, if nothing else." Neat video of Mr. Lee's reply to that odd question is here: What If Michael Jackson Made 'Spider-Man'? Stan Lee Explains How It Almost Happened! It would turn out like Spider-Man 3, but with better dance moves.

I think Michael could have done a really good job. (Making the movie, and not starring).

Yeah looks like he would of made a great Spiderman film. He seems to know and care for the character and know how Spiderman is. As for the dancing ohp lease yes it could of been better. Especially the Peter Parker dance scene.

I kind of knew that Michael Jackson was a Superhero fan boy
because of the way he poses and moves in his videos
I even thought he could play Goku in a dragon ball movie
after all a movie like that could be risky business and why not try Michael Jackson ,Beside he look like a manga character.
if only they've listen to me the dragon ball movie wouldn't be in such a hole.
Maybe MJ could have bulked up and played Tombstone.

Well, he would have been totally wrong for Norman Osborn. :cwink:
Nah, he shouldn't have played any of the characters. I don't know if he would have been a good director or producer for a Spider-Man film.
By the way, this is, honestly, very cool:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LuxXBINjHsw&hl=sv&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LuxXBINjHsw&hl=sv&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
:D
I still hate the dance scenes though.

If you think about it, he would have been the perfect Joker!
I mean, if he could laugh like that and move creepy and act like a maniac, he would have been the perfect Joker! Plus, The Joker would have bleached skin too. :cwink:
Nah I'm just kidding. Just did it for fun.

I agree, I think he would be a good choice for the producing job, but he shouldn't play any character on screen.

I don't see anything that would qualify Michael Jackson to helm a Spider-Man film. He could of choreographed the dance scenes in Sp3 but it wouldn't of made too much of a difference. Also the world generally hated MJ before he died. There would be about a hundred jokes and such all over the media if it was ever to happen.

Aloha,
As the producer of some of the greatest videos in the world, I think he would have been very faithful to the source material. But everybody here is forgetting-Michael would have done what ALL of the Spidey and super heroe movies have been missing- A FANTASTIC SOUDTRACK.That's where he would have done HIS dancing-not in the Spidey movie.

Plus, the world didn't hate him. It was mostly America. He still had plenty of international love.
