She's mediocre. Don't listen to [A] he thinks Gregory Peck was an average actor :o. She'll never win any awards, but when you watch her you're not actively thinking Gawd she's bad either.

See, this is an example of bias that really pisses me off. It's the "She's hot and must therefore be brainless and suck at acting" mind set. Few things piss me off more. I have never seen her in anything but I'm not going to jump to conclusions just because she was in Playboy that she's a bimbo who can't act. I doubt the Branagh & Marvel guys are going to cast someone who can't act. I'll defer to their judgement on this since I am somewhat in the dark about her.

Oh, and Valkyrie or Enchantress is what popped into my head first as well.

She's got a kind of mediocre movie called Hot Tamale that you can stream on Netflix and an episode of The Loop that you can stream on Hulu, if anyone's dying to see her act in something. She seemed all right in both roles. Neither were exactly heavy theatrics, though; the former is a slightly ditzy love interest and the latter is a secretary who's only in about 5 minutes of the half-hour episode, again as a love interest.

Twitter is fast becoming the best source for the latest movie news. Like Clifton Collins Jr. before her, Diora Baird, the model who transitioned into acting with Wedding Crashers and the upcoming Night of the Demons, used her Twitter feed to announce her audition for Kenneth Branagh's Thor:

Had an audition for the movie Thor today. Character description was "pretty, but sturdy with muscle". Damn type casting. When asked by Chud what role she was auditioning for, Baird said she was sworn to secrecy:

I cant say. I'll go to jail. For real. Had to sign my soul away. A good guess would be that Baird is up for the role of Asgardian sorceress The Enchantress, considering that Natalie Portman will play Thor's love interest, though it's possible Baird is auditioning for Sif, another love interest of Thor's.

I watched the whole thing. I was curious about her and I didn't have anything else to do. Weird movie. She was generally pretty good in it, but again, totally different role from anything she would have in Thor.

Not sure who she could be auditioning for because I think that the only Asgardian roles left for actresses are for Karnilla and Sif. Diora doesn't strike me as a particularly good fit for either.

Diora is attractive and statuesque enough to play Amora, but I don't really see her in that role. Lookwise, Kristanna Loken (http://l.yimg.com/l/tv/us/img/site/83/83/0000038383_20070312175859.jpg) is a better choice IMHO. Karnilla is most definitely older and (dare I say it) a lot more regal. There should also be a certain harshness to her features that hints at her dark nature. A bit like so:

Baird's OK. She's got a tremendous rack, but I'm not sold on her as an actress. YPF was not that good.
