There isnt a story other then our school mascot was taken, then killed later on. Our mascot is a cat tiger thing.

When the actual time comes to find out who killed the mascot, perhaps it can be revealed that they were lured there by the cheerleading team/jocks, supposedly to party, but they make fun of them and dare them to do something stupid/deadly. One character can say "Why would they do it?" and Horatio can say "Maybe he thought he was earning his stripes."

When I was in about year 8 we made a spoof introductory video about our school... I was pretty much a stunt man in it due to my ridiculous ability to take an ass-kicking.
I took a king hit chest on from a state footballer/track champ and let out a comedic groan afterwards as the camera panned back onto me, and crammed myself into one of the lockers so that I would fall out on cue when the guy leading the tour would tap on another one of the lockers letting out a "they stole my money, I needed it for insulin".

We also faked students keying cars and had some skits involving bags of chalk powder.
