Does anybody else think its time to move on with this franchise without Tobey? i mean he's gettin old and im just gettin tired of his spiderman, hes always whining and it gets tiresome. Anyone agree/Disagree?

The crying, the fact that Spider-Man wasn't sarcastic in battle, the p**sy Peter, the fact that he was way too clumsy even after the spider bit him and the fact that he was such a wimp that he hardly made a sentence in SM2 with MJ was mostly a writting problem. However, I believe that there are better choices than Tobey anyway, he was just decent, nothing more at in SM3 he didn't even looked like he was in shape. I liked him best in SM1.

But anyway, if he is to be replaced (which is unlikely, since he is already signed for SM4 and who knows, I think he'll be kept if he wants for SM5), I hope they made the right choice and hopefully that does NOT involve actors like Shia LaBeouf or that Joseph Gordon-Levitt guy for fk sake!~

Sam Raimi had raised Tobey's salary for doing Spider-man 4 and 5 straight behind each other. But since Spider-man 5 is postponed and connected with the 6th, i doubt Tobey even wants to return for 5 and 6. He doens't want to play Spider-man for the rest of his life. Only few actors play a superhero more than 4 times. Till now only Christopher Reeve and Hugh Jackman did 4 performances. In Spider-man 5 we will see a new Peter Parker, i have no doubt about that! That doesn't mean it will be a reboot or something, just different actors and perhaps 5 and 6 will be made by Disney/Marvel.

I wouldn't mind seeing Tobey replaced. But the writing also needs to be better. I still think that after 3 movies Raime and the writers don't totally get Spider-man/Peter Parker.
