Green Hornets costume

Well, for those that think Rogen is gonna prance around in green spandex and or a cape or something...Green hornet has traditionally worn a suit, an overcoat and a hat. Sort of like Rorschach from Watchmen. Only green. I dont think theres much need for them to "re-imagine" too much here.

But what about the mask? Will he wear something like the 60's show or closer to the serial. Maybe they will design something new? So, any theories on what he'll look like? Personally, i think they will have something that covers the entire face. His stubble on the latest spy shots seems to suggest it. Hey, it would make stunts easier too! :yay:

well we`ve already seen what Kato looks like and in my opinion thats closer to the 60s show...I guess it would make sense then to go the same route with the green hornet outfit. As for the stubble maybe this film will be a true origin story and maybe Britt Reid doesnt feel the need to keep smooth until he decides to put on a mask?

Unfortunately, they will probably only refer to the TV show design, so Rogen's double chin will most definitely show.

Yeah the "scarf thingy", The full face mask is from the movie serials. There was another mask for the radio show i believe. It was also used in the comics.

However it reminds me of The Shadow and this could be why it changed to the fullface mask in the serials, years ago.
Maybe they wanted to avoid confusion/comparisons/lawsuits?

But...I gotta say...My favourite look for the hornet is the fullface mask.
It's the most logical of them all, since it covers his entire face.

Meaning he can't be properly identified. The Green Hornet could literally be ANYONE.

Something that gives half his face away would be kinda stupid in real life.
It's that old "Zorro syndrome" you know?

And the full-face mask could have a built in gasmask for his gasgun. And besides...I just think it looks COOL. It's a moot point now though. They are going with the 60s half-mask, so... Lets see! I thought seth looked pretty good in the spy shots that leaked out(and vanished just as quick). Liked the little pimpy hat! :)

The french fan film, Le Frelon Vert (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6baKbRQrt4), really deserves it's own thread. It's awesome!

I tried to measure the mask in the spyshots. It looks like it covers his face from the side. That's why i assumed it's a variant of the 60's half-mask Seth carries. I think there's padding inside it too, so maybe it's a stunt mask. They seem to be setting up a stunt.(theres a wire shot in there)

Hmm. I really like the serial gun. Some of the comic cover (which i have NOT read, hoping for them to be released here when the movie comes out) versions of it looks really cool.

Im really digging this one.

On the show he also used "the hornet sting". A pimpy cane, sorta like Kingpins. You know since he's supposed to be a crime-lord. :) I seem to remember it as an electrical, non lethal weapon, something like a taser. Uh, looks like i was wrong according to Vikipedia.

They describe it as a "Sonic" weapon. Well, that explains some things i wondered about...i havent seen the tv show since i was about 10, so the memories are fuzzy! :)

Anyway, i would like to see a gun. Hmm, maybe something like the lawgiver from Judge dredd. A multi purpose gun with different types of non-lethal ammo?. Maybe with a built in tazer.

Eh, on the other hand, the cane could perform the same function.
So i can see them going with just the "pimpcane". :) Just put the gas in the cane too.

I just dont know. I think hornet will use something though.

i think it should look like a regular handgun/pistol maybe with two barrels, possibly black or gun metal gray in color.

i want to see a departure from the 60's gun (It reminds me to much of the air gun controller that came with the old NES game system).

It looks like he's holding the mask by the strap. Compare the size of it to his hand, it would be bigger if it was the full face mask. I'm pretty sure it is like Green Lantern's, but I may be wrong. A nice angle of it is in the picture where he's stepping up onto the vehicle hauling which looks like the Black Beauty. It's in his left hand. The inside of the mask is facing us.

it is great, but anyway, i don't wanna see the Hornet sting...

the gas gun if played right can be sleek, compact and bad ass without being campy.

the Hornet sting just seems about as silly as one of The Penguin's trick umbrellas.

Just watched it, pretty decent fan film. A lot better than some others out there. The fan filmakers seemed to have put a bit more effort into this one. The fight scenes were very professional. Some cheese to it, but you have to expect that. I even liked the end credits.

The mask was cool, but I prefer the full face as well. The other just gives to much of his identity away.

Not sure if that's Rogen or a double, but it really looks like they're following the TC series style.
Some brighter colors, they may not be able to copy the 20th Century Fox version 100%, for legal reasons.
