Brief background information of the character:
Henry "Hank" McCoy is born a visible mutant, his giant ape-like limbs causing the boy to be met with much bigotry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigotry) and prejudice (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prejudice). With his own parents denouncing him throughout his childhood for his genetic status, he chooses to hide his immense intelligence to avoid further complications. Hank becomes a founding member of the Ultimate X-Men (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_X-Men) taking the codename Beast. He also takes on the role of the team's elite engineer, frequently upgrading the X-Men's Blackbird X-Jet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackbird_(comics)) and Danger Room (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danger_Room) sequences.
When the team is kidnapped by Weapon X, they operate on him, causing him to take on his blue furry appearance and gain additional, strengthened senses, such as smell and hearing.

If I may offer some constructive criticism, the only part of your app that would need some changin' is the sample post.
Touch up the formatting, such as spaces between sentences, not having everything all run-together, and work on general punctuation and sentence structure and you'd be good to go. :up:

Sorry, guys. Its been a trying week, I nearly offed myself accidentally with bug killer.

Took to a bunch of redback spiders out the back of the house with a can of bug killer, realised that wasn't really enough to make sure of the job and bought myself some professional barrier spray to take care of the job.

Only problem is I probably used too much, stripped the hell out of the back of my throat and have had headaches for quite a few days since.

On the bright side there shouldn't be any more spiders in my entire suburb...

Sorry to hold you guys up and I'm glad you did carry on without me rather than leave me feeling more guilty for holding everything up even more through my own stupidity.

On the bright side at least Moon Knight hasn't played as big a role in this one as my character in the Create-A-Hero RPG... but still, sorry to Matt Murdock for putting him out in particular.

Ditto... As a crazy MK fan myself its only right I give 'em all respect. And I always thought it might be interesting if they dug a bit deeper into all sides of all the personalities of the Moon Knight...

It's walking a tight line though... Trying to make them all sympathetic whilst giving them all their own sinister side...

The different personalities all have major aspects of the one man's splintered psyche... its fun to explore, define all of their individual traits.

Make the cabbie's name a bastardisation of a true man of the people in Robin Hood and also name him after a popular crime drama of the 80s... give it a little bit of fight club where the personality the other needed was created and his backstory bent to require as little to zero evidence as possible...

Also thought, what would it be like being created to permanently live a poor lifestyle... designed to have ZERO possibility to improve your status and property? Because that's what he's left with, ultimately. That's to be his lot in life.

In short, Moon Knight's a hell of a lot of fun to write for...

Daredevil is past the limit of 14 days and is now up for grabs. Lot of other characters are close, but we'll hopefully get this arc rolling again.

Matt Murdock was in a pretty unenviable position with the character where he was stuck waiting for me, I finally got something done with Moon Knight and a couple days later his character's up for grabs again...

Look out for something kickarse mid-to-late December with him too... at the moment I'm just developing character (which takes a lot with a guy who has a bunch of personalities) then I want to throw him into action with some others for a while, but I'm setting myself up with another decent "going solo" arc which will look further into the character again right at the end of the year... Which the next post will start to allude to.

That said, I am going to get him a bit more involved in goings on with other characters in between... because at the moment its pretty much the RPG version of masturbation... I just have an idea I like and think is interesting and I'm curious to see what other people will think of it.

Was still trying to figure out who all the personalities were going to be up until yesterday where I started thinking about this thing I plan to do... we're getting a fair idea of who Lockley is from the last post, and the early stuff kind of gave us a picture of Moon knight/Spector... with the next one looking over Steven Grant, and some of the characters in the mansion. So hopefully after this next one I should be able to get to putting him back in action.

Should throw another post up in the IC tomorrow night...

Instead of having one person pick one member of the Fantastic Four, try to get 3 or 4 of them and then have a few FF stories so you can do things as a group. Likewise with having one X-Man. I was thinking we could do a crossover team with the teenage heroes like Spider-Man, Human Torch, Iceman, Shadowcat, Iron Fist, etc. being brought together as a team by Nick Fury. They're minors, so he can send them into hairy situations and nothing will stick (legally). Plus, that's just the kind of manipulation you'd expect from Nick Fury.

The big question - Why this character?: Because there needs to be some PC Ultimates, dammit.

Brief background information of the character:

Taken from Wiki...

Steve Rogers started off as a frail volunteer for scientific experimenting on behalf of the U.S. government. He underwent extensive surgery and steroid treatment and training to become Captain America and fighting the Nazis during World War II. He would eventually come into battle with Herr Kleiser, who introduced a prototype atomic bomb and intercontinental missile that were made with alien (Chitauri) technology meant to target the White House. However they were too late to stop the process from commencing, but Captain America managed to get to the missile as it launched. In a successful attempt to stop it in mid air, he fell into the North Atlantic and was presumed dead.

Years after, the body of Captain America was found in the Arctic Ocean frozen in a block of ice. It was as if he hadn't aged a day. It is unknown whether it was due to cryogenic preservation or the super soldier serum that prevented him from aging. Initially he thought S.H.I.E.L.D. was a group of Nazi soldiers who had captured him, but eventually realized that he was in a different time. He found out his best friend Bucky Barnes was now married to his fiancée and that all his loved ones were dead.

After catching up to his new era, the Ultimates were faced with the dilemma of Bruce Banner deliberately becoming the Hulk. Rogers was able to stagger and stop the Hulk briefly in combat. When he was about to inject the Hulk with the antidote, Hulk made a surprise attack and broke the needle and then began beating Cap until Thor came to the rescue. After Hulk had reverted back to Banner, Cap knocked him out and had him taken back to the Triskelion.

Captain America soon discovered that his nemesis, Herr Kleiser had survived World War II and was a Chitauri soldier. This was why he would always seem to survive, Cap saying that he has killed Kleiser "twice". When Kleiser resurfaced, Cap and he resumed their rivalry from 60 years back. When the Hulk was dropped into their battle, Cap convinced Hulk that Kleiser was hitting on Betty, causing Hulk to mutilate then eat Herr Kleiser.

During the Ultimate War the Ultimates are put in battle with the X-Men after Magneto was found alive. Captain America would then lead the Black Widow and Hawkeye in an assault on the six mutants that blew up the Brooklyn Bridge, immediately taking out three mutants. In this arc, Cap reveals that when working with the Canadian army, he met a man called "Lucky Jim" Howlett. Lucky Jim was Wolverine. Wolverine earned the nickname because no matter how many times he was shot, he still came out alive. During the battle between the Ultimates and the X-men, Captain America calls Wolverine by his given name causing Wolverine to become disoriented, Cap then proceeds to shoot away at Wolverine with a machine gun until Wolverine is knocked unconscious.

During the Ultimate Six story arc Captain America leads the Ultimates in the arrests of Electro and Kraven the Hunter. Later those two–along with the Sandman, Doc Ock, and the Green Goblin—escape from S.H.I.E.L.D. He becomes very disheartened when he finds out that these villains were all a result of trying to duplicate the Super Soldier serum. During an attack on the White House lawn Captain America wrestled with Spider-Man with neither out-powering the other. He then explained the truth to Spiderman that his aunt was safe with S.H.I.E.L.D. Captain America then fought the Green Goblin landing several hits while not being hit once.

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: Cap was turned into a Super Soldier thanks to the US Government, his physical abilities all raised to superhuman levels. Cap is an expert tactician and a skilled commander, and a world class fighter. His trademark weapon is his shield, baring the stars and stripes he so loves, that he can use as a richocheting projectile weapon, and is indestructable.

"You're going after him, aren't you? Jakkara?"

"...Steve, maybe you should sit this one out."

"Don't feed that BS, Fury", Cap fired, raising his voice a bit. He took a deep breath and composed himself, calming down. It was obvious he was still worked up after what happened.
And who could blame him, Fury thought.
"General, what happened today is no different than Pearl Harbor. This was an act of war, sir. Somebody attack my country and killed innocent lives."

"That can be allowed to go unpunished", Captain America said, his fists clenched in frustration and anger.
"If you're going after Jakkara, Fury, then I'm coming with you."

I'd be willing to do something like that, but I'm tied up with three characters at the moment.

The big question - Why this character?: Spider-Man has always been a character I wanted to play but I always felt I wasn't worthy of playing such an iconic character. But now I figure wtf I can't do any worse than Loeb. :o Plus hes' always been taken.

Brief background information of the character: Everyone knows the origin of Spidey but in short Peter Parker was your average uninteresting doormat. That was until the field trip to Ozcorp where his life changed forever. After having been bitten by a spider injected with the experimental super soldier serum known as Oz Peter gained the powers of a spider. Deciding to use his newfound powers to make a little green to help his struggling Aunt and Uncle Pete starts fighting in a small-time wrestling company. After being falsely accused of stealing money from the company Pete was put in the position of choosing between giving away his identity or involving the cops. Choosing to preserve his identity Pete bails.

As Peter makes his way home he comes across a deli being robbed. Lost in his thoughts Pete lets the thief run right by him figuring that it isn't his problem. Finally making it home in Queens Peter finds out that his Uncle was murdered in cold blood by an intruder looking for money. As he tries to comfort his grieving Aunt Peter overhears that the cops have the creep cornered in a warehouse. Enraged, Peter runs out of the house and dons his wrestling costume with plans on revenge. After confronting his Uncle's killer Peter discovers that it was infact the thief that he let go. That if he had stopped the creep when he should've his Uncle would still be alive. Vowing never to shirk his responsibilities again, Peter Parker takes his first steps in his new life as the Amazing Spider-Man.

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: Peter possesses the proportionate strength and speed of a spider. With this also comes the spider's ability to stick to walls aswell as an early warning sense that Peter has come to call his "Spidey Sense". Equipment-wise Pete sports a pair of web-shooters of his own design. These shooters fire a web-like substance that was derived from a glue formula that his father was developing before he died.

What can you bring to this game?: The usual I guess. A love for the games and the characters aswell an urge to see this game prosper.

Provide a small sample post for your character, about 4 paragraphs with at least one line of dialog: The semi-friendly, mildly peaceful streets of Queens prepares for another day as school buses make there morning rounds and normal citizens head to their soul crushing jobs. For Alexander Corbit this day was horrible from the get go. His alarm clock died causing him to run late, his 04 Trailblazer hit a nail in the road causing him to spend precious time changing the flat. As he finally speeds off to work praying that he hasn't been fired he doesn't realize just how bad his day is going to get. Joining the line of cars moving unto the Brooklyn Bridge Corbit's SUV is rocked as a nearby jewelery store window gets blown out by an invisible force. Craning his neck trying to see what is happening Corbit spies two costumed criminals emerge from the ruined storefront.

Shocker smiles at his handy work taking interest to a group of people holding bloody appendages from the flying glass.

"What I tell yeah Boomerang. Piece of cake."

Boomerang rolls his eye behind his mask. Hes' such statements before.

"Whatever. Lets just get back t'the hideout before we start celebratin."

"Hermy! Boomy! Hows it hangin guys. Let me guess short, shriveled, and always to the left?"

Boomerang didn't even have to look up to recognize that voice.

"Ah son of a..."

"Ah ah ah watch the language theres children present."

Boomerang spins around chucking a razor sharp boomerang at the spider.

"Get out of here Shocker. I'll deal with the bug!"

Spidey jumps off the side of the building easily avoiding the lethal boomerang.

"Bug? Boomy I'm hurt. I much prefer Mr. Spidey. Hell I'd even take the Man-Spider. Sounds menacing yet also makes me sound like something from an EC comic."

Boomerang ignores the young hero's banter and unleashes another volley as Shocker makes a break toward the bridge. Alexander Corbit watches the fight as Spidey easily dodges everything Boomerang throws at him. But he also notices Shocker come his way.

"Ah dammit."

Not even breaking stride Shocker raises his gaunlets and lets loose a barrage of high-intensity vibrations powerful enough to send cars flying. Chaos ensues as commutors abandon their cars trying to get as far away from the idiot chucking their property around like tinker toys.

Back at the storefront Spidey quickly closes the distance between him and his would be attacker.

"Alright thats it Boomy! Time to say good NIGHT!"

Driving his point home Spider-Man lands an uppercut to Boomerang's chin sending him literally flying out of his boots. Spidey stifles a laugh at the boots still standing where their owner once stood.

"And me without my camera phone."

Spidey's head starts buzzing as everything suddenly slows down.

"Oh boy."

Letting his instincts take over Spidey vaults into the air narrowly avoiding getting hit by a 04 Trailblazer. Quickly checking the SUV Spidey finds a young man still belted into his seat with a death grip on his steering wheel.

"You ok sir?"

"**** this I'm calling in sick."

""Thats probably a smart move. Excuse me I got an utter tool I need to knock out."

Taking to the air Spidey swings towards the bridge where Shocker is clearing cars out of his path.

"Yo vibrator haven't you heard of a taxi? I mean don't get me wrong your way is effective but I don't think your fellow New Yorkers care for it."

"Oh come on! Can't you just let me go once?! Times are tough!"

"No can do Hermy. But I'm sure theres a urinal somewhere that could use a good scrubbing."

"Raah! JUST SHUT UP!"

Shocker wheels around and fires a blast that could easily punch a hole through a brick wall. Letting go of his webline Spidey twists in the air avoiding the invisible blast.

"Yeah right. Thats like asking American Idol to not suck. But not to worry Hermy it'll all be over after the good old "Thwip & whap". Ready?"

Thwip

Shocker jerks his gaze down to his chest and sees the thin strand.

"Ah fu.."

Before finishing his sentence Shocker is yanked off his feet and flies into a waiting fist.

"WHAP!"

Thirty seconds later Spidey puts the finishing touches on the web cocoon that now holds Shocker and Boomerang to the bridge.

"There. Two grade A idiots ready for shipping."

The familiar wail of approaching sirens draws Spidey's attention.

"And thats make cue to skedaddle."

Lunging off the bridge Spidey fires a webline heading for the hallowed halls of Midtown High.

Brief background information of the character: The man who claims to be Thor, the Norse god of thunder, is on a self-proclaimed mission to save the planet. His political and social activism, as well as his own self-help books, attract rebellious hippies and conspiracy theorists. Even though he serves as a member of the Ultimates, Thor has spoken against America's military aggression against other world powers and the military-industrial complex.

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: Thor's belt grants him superhuman strength, endurance, and durability. His hammer, Mjolnir, grants him flight, teleportation, and the ability to manipulate the weather and create lightning strikes.

Among the trees covered in the quickly thawing snow that signaled the fast approaching Nordic spring, I sit cross legged on the hard ground, admist the weathered rocks and fallen leaves.

"Alföðr, Odin.....Father. You send me here to do your will, but yet you turn a deaf ear to me in my time of need. Tell me what must I do to stop this devourer. How can I stop something that is feared even among gods?"

"Thor, my son."

A voice echoes through the woods as a ray of light shines on my face.

"Your mission on Earth isn't just to save humanity, it is to save yourself."

"Me? But, why?"

"You will know soon enough, now to help you in your war against the devour I send you a gift."

Wind kicks up in the forrest as light surrounds me. The light blast outward and ghost like creatures encirle and fly around me

"Valkyrie's thank you father."

"Think nothing of it, son. Now, time is of the essence, to New York with you."

I raise Mjolnir into the air as the Valkyries surround me. In a flash of lightning and thunder, I'm gone

Clouds as black as night cover up the sun and plunge New York into darkness, the automatic street lights come to life. A massive bolt of lightning streaks through the sky and thunder crashes, shaking the windows in Manhattan. In that lightning bolt, I emerge.

The big question - Why this character?: I've said it before, but what the hell. Even before the movie hit and everyone began to like him, Iron Man was my favorite Avenger. And by default, my favorite Ultimate. He's just a fun character to write that, by all means, combines the tech-savvy modern day billionaire with the arrogant drunkard of today's party-hard socialities and puts both characteristics through the wringer. Then goes the extra mile, and adds a heavily weaponized armored suit ontop of that.

Brief background information of the character: Growing up as the child of a respected doctor and a billionaire scientist, Antonio 'Tony' Stark became a child prodigy. Boasting a college-graduate IQ by the age of six, Tony became his father's protege and began to tinker with inventions long since abandoned by Stark Industries, ultimately improving upon them and helping launch the company as a top grade military-supplier. But like always, there came a downside to his talents. Because of the nature of his birth, Tony's skin became ultra-sensitive and regularly pained him. It was because instead of just an internal brain, his skin was apart of it aswell, making him a walking cerebrum and a bi-product of science. To help him cope with his condition, Tony's father created an external protective shell that allowed the boy to live close to a normal life.

But others soon looked to capitalize on Tony's genius. Howard Stark's buisness rival, Obidiah Stane, would be prominent among them as he tried unsuccessfully to kidnap and use the boy against his father. When that didn't work, Stane organized both the deaths of Howard and Maria, leaving a teenage Tony an orphan. Taking up his father's corporation and empire, it wasn't long until Stark became a billionaire playboy, using alcohol to dull the pain of his condition and use his frequent party contacts to get himself invested into all sorts of revenues. It wasn't until he developed an inoperable brain tumor that a distraught Tony began to work towards fufilling his true calling: Protecting the world, while he still had the time to leave an impact on it. Constructing a high tech suit of armor, Tony Stark publically became the technological hero known as The Invincible Iron Man.

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: When wearing his constantly evolving Iron Man armor, Stark possesses the abilities of superhuman strength, durability, and flight. His weapons include high-powered laser cannons, controlled rockets, and machine guns.

What can you bring to this game?: Hopefully a version of Tony Stark that hasn't gotten too stale, since my last outing as the character.

The supermodels giggled to themselves as Tony Stark raised his half-full glass of champagne in a pseudo-toast, lounging about in the penthouse suite of the hotel he had just checked into with a horde of women as his accompaniments. While some would call the action to be brash and thoughtless, Stark was just wondering to himself where to place this one on the list. He had been all around Europe for about a week, and rather than get back to buisness on his first day returned to American soil, Tony decided that the best course of action would be to switch out business for pleasure. In short, he'd celebrate his return by having copious amounts of sex and alcohol.

Mostly alcohol.

"You know, ladies, this brand actually can't be legally purchased in the country. Just a little fun fact for you,", Stark smirked, sloppily pouring himself some more. "But since I've never been one to let dear old Uncle Sam disrupt what could be a beautiful night, I just asked myself the obvious. Who said that being an amoral Government puppet couldn't have it's own rewards?"

Downing the glass with a grin, Tony laid back, allowing two of the supermodels to lay themselves on his shoulders as the others danced to the loud music that was blaring across the entire room. Though the neighboring guests frequently yelled or complained to the management, nothing was said to stop them. Because just above his room's wine cooler laid the deed to the hotel itself. Tony had bought the property on the spot.

"Oh, Mister Stark...", One of the models sensually moaned. "You're making me sooo hot."

"You're becoming quite the aphrodisiac yourself, my dear.", Tony replied, as the model began kissing him on his neck. "What would you say if I asked you to spend the night?"

"But Tony,", One of the others asked. "Don't you have, like, a giant monster to fight or something tommorow?"

"Pamela, darling... the correct term is 'Abnormal Scientific Monstrosity'.", Tony corrected. "And even if that were the case, which it may very well be... I've come to the conclusion that even superheroes need time to themselves."

Tony's eyes widened in pleasure, as the model kissed him in a tender area. "Oh and right now, I'm thinking that I need as much of that time as I can stand."

Character you would like to play: Carl Lucas, a.k.a. Luke Cage

If not, how will you 'Ultimatize' him or her?: No. I want to use a background with Carl Lucas is an MMA fighter that gains superpowers while receiving medical treatment after a fight (more on that later). Overall he'd be very similar to the 616 version, just a different backstory.

Is the character a hero, a villain, or walking the line?: Hero

The big question - Why this character?: He seems like a down-to-Earth guy, still interested in helping people despite the bad situations he finds himself in. Plus, Titanium skin.

Brief background information of the character:

Carl Lucas is the son of a semi-pro boxer from Harlem. When his father's career started taking a downturn and allegations of cheating arose, his father left the family. Raised by his mother, Carl found some relief in his absent father's discipline of boxing. He took the stage name "Luke Cage" to try to distance himself from his father. When the MMA gained popularity, Carl tried a few fights of that type. Though he didn't like MMA as much as straight boxing, the payouts and publicity were better so he signed on for an undercard at UFC 108.

Unfortunately, he fought a veteran MMA fighter. Taking a serious beating in the first round, his ring coach advised him to throw in the towel and not answer the bell in the second round. Cage was angered by this, feeling that he would be embarassed on such a large stage if he quit after a single round. In the second round, Cage continued to take a serious beating, until his opponent landed a hard kick to the side of Cage's head, KOing him.

The ring doctor checked Cage out and sent him to the hospital with a serious concussion. The hospital kept him for observation for 24 hours, but his concussion symptoms were not improving. The doctors ordered a PET scan in which radionuclides are injected into a patient, then doctors can monitor where the blood is circulating based on the presence of radiation emitted. In particular, the doctors wanted to check the blood flow in his brain to make sure he did not have serious brain damage.

However, when the radioactive elements in his blood reached his brain, Luke Cage's body responded abnormally. Cage's skin became like steel, his muscles got stronger, and he recovered from his wounds in only a few hours. Amazed, the doctors wished to perform more tests, but Cage would have none of it.

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: Luke Cage's skin is nearly indestructible. He has taken gunshots, stab wounds, burns, blunt impacts, and many other forms of attacks without being wounded. Cage is very reluctant to allow doctors or scientists to examine his abilities, so the exact biological mechanism for them is unknown. His metabolism also is enhanced, allowing him to heal internal injures and illnesses several times faster than ordinary humans. As a byproduct of his enhanced metabolism, Cage can exercise far more often than normal humans (because his body repairs his muscles much faster). After training his way he has increased his strength to near-superhuman levels. He has no noteworthy equipment, since between his indestructible skin and super strength he tends to break most objects he would use.

What can you bring to this game?: I've played tons of tabletop games, thought I'd try an online game. Plus, I haven't played a superhero game in awhile.

The Ultimates fight off an alien invasion, and I'm stuck with this.

The ski-mask wearing, would-be robber was now pointing his .38 special at the convenient store clerk. Unfortunately for the robber, the convenient store clerk had a shotgun pointed back at him. It was that kind of neighborhood. Cage stood to the side, still holding his bottle of contact solution and four dollar bills.

The two armed men stared one another down, neither wanting to blink.

"If you're both just going to stand there, I'm gonna get going then," Cage said, placing his four dollars on the checkout counter.

Without breaking his stare, the robber said, "Stay right there!" The clerk chimed in, "For all I know, you two are in cahoots!"

Cage sighed. He looked at the robber. "You need to learn to take hostages better, and you," he looked to the clerk, "had better have hit some silent alarm or something. I'd hate to think that I'm the only one with experience here."

Both men turned their guns at Cage. "Oh, right, take it out on the shopper. Last time I make a late-night run for my girlfriend's contact solution."

The robber, increasingly jumpy, shouted, "Shut the @#$% up!" The clerk likewise was tensing up. Cage just smiled.

In an instant, Cage reached out and grabbed both guns, but not after they each had fired. The shotgun pellets mostly hit his left hand, but some hit his left ribs. The revolver round hit him lower, in his right side on the stomach. Grunting but unharmed, Cage's fists closed around each of the weapons, crimping their barrels. He grabbed the now harmless weapons out of each of their hands and tossed them aside.

In shock, the robber took off but the clerk just stood there. Cage knelt down, scooped up the contact solution he had dropped, and turned to the door. "Sorry I had to ruin your shotgun," he called behind him to the clerk.

The big question - Why this character?: Its actually quite simple. The game needs more Ultimates and Quicksilver seemed like a better choice than any.

Brief background information of the character: Pietro's power is that of superspeed. He was shunned by his father due to the fact that his mother was human. Quicksilver desperately tried to please his father, but nothing he did ever seemed to be enough. Magneto even went as far as to call Quicksilver's mutation effeminate. Finally, Cyclops told Pietro that he should stand on his own feet rather than trying to please his father. During Magneto's attack on the White House, Pietro removed his father's helmet, the only thing protecting the Master of Magnetism from Xavier's telepathic attacks. Xavier was then able to stop Magneto and seemingly destroy him.

With his father gone, Pietro assumed leadership of the Brotherhood. Due to Wolverine's request, Pietro led an attack to liberate the prisoners of Weapon X. Afterwards, the Brotherhood began to fall apart as Pietro started a more politically-minded agenda, partially due the influence of conversations with "Uncle" Charles Xavier. Among other things, the Brotherhood liberated the animal evolutionaries from a laboratory, and disarmed counties with nuclear weapons. One of the animal evolutionaries, Prosimian, grew irritated with Quicksilver's tactics. When Blob discovered that Magneto was still alive, Prosimian did not hesitate to find Erik and return his memory. Quicksilver and his sister the Scarlet Witch sought sanctuary with the Ultimates. Nevertheless, Magneto attacked them and shot out Quicksilver's kneecap with a gun.

Quicksilver apparently recovered within a few weeks, thanks to his accelerated metabolism, but still runs with a very slight limp. He has refused to visit his father, though Magneto is being held in the Triskelion itself (Ultimates HQ).

"Please my dear like I'm going to be afraid of a simple jump scare. Rather disappointing movie considering how very little quality time we have to spend together."

Wanda smiles as she cuddles closer to her sibling resting her head on his shoulder. To anyone in the crowd around them they would seem more like a loving couple instead of brother and sister.

"Fine next time you pick the movie. But please not another independent film. I could barely keep my eyes open during the last one."

"The humans are starting to rub off on you."

Wanda playfully nudges Pietro's side as they turn the corner onto Times Square. Pietro finally gives in to his sister's infectious mood and cracks a smile.

"So where shall we go to eat? To be honest I'd rather just grab some take-out instead of going anywhere considerably fancy."

Pietro opens his mouth to respond but is swiftly cut off by the loud beep of the familiar comm link.

"I fear I'll have to give you a rein check on dinner my dear."

"Time to go save the world...."

Pietro swiftly lifts his sister into is arms and disappear in a flash leaving a group of tourists wondering if what they just saw was real.

Okay. I didn't really like my last app for the Black Knight. More specifically the origin I came up with (didn't help that I couldn't come up with a sample). So I decided to revise my app with a new origin I think might work better. Even wrote the sample this time.

Character you would like to play: Dane Whitman, the Black Knight

Has this character appeared in the Ultimate comic books? If not, how will you 'Ultimatize' him or her?: No. This version of Dane Whitman will be more modern, as in no flying horses (as cool as they were), no squires that end up becomng villains... Just a badass with a sword. He'll also be more of a soldier.

Is the character a hero, a villain, or walking the line?: Hero

The big question - Why this character?: Dane interests me, and he in the 616 is one of the classic members of the Avengers, and as such, I'd like to Ultimize him to have him join the Ultimates.

Brief background information of the character:

SHIELD has tried numerous ways to create the perfect soldier for the U.S. Government to build an army of... From serums to gamma rays, and even hi-tech suits of armor and Pym particles, they've tried and tried and tried their best to create a super soldier fit for them to control.

However, SHIELD wasn't the only organization created to create the perfect soldier...

There is yet another special organization dedicated to re-creating the super-soldier proccess used on Steve Rogers if not creating a new proccess altogether. The only difference? This one tries to accomplish this through arcane means.

An operation directed by Dr. Stephen Strange, an expert in the fields of magic and the paranormal, H.A.M.M.E.R., the High Authority Mystic and Magical Emergency Reaction, a division of the Government dedicated to defeating threats mystical and magical, has had no successes in their various attempts at using magic or mystic items to create a super soldier, until now.

Nathan Garrett, one of Strange's top agents in the field of recovering mystic artifacts, finally located an object of immense power. One that will fnally help them to create a super soldier: the Ebony Blade.

Enter Dane Whitman: a U.S. Marine that had been chosen by Strange and Garrett to wield the Blade, for he exceeded all the physical specifications they thought would be neccessary to weild it.

Once Strange convinced Whitman into grabbing hold of it's handle, the sword granted him a strength that rivaled the strongest of fighters, and he found himself sporting garb worn proudly by many a knight before him. He then took on the codename "Black Knight" and has since become one of SWORD's top agents.

Currently, he has caught the (only) eye of a certain director of SHIELD to join his team of Government sanctioned superheroes...

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: The Ebony Blade grants Dane enhanced strength and agility on par with Captain America. The sword itself is indestructible and can cut through any substance.

The sword, as long as he stays in contact with it, heals him of any physical injury with speed comparable to Wolverine's healing factor.

Due to the Ebony Blades's mystic nature, it allows Dane to summon powerful magics by thought alone for things such as teleportation or to fire bolts of arcane energy from the sword's blade.

Dane is also a skilled hand to hand combatant from his time as a marine. His more predominate martial art being kickboxing.

From his office in the top levels of the HAMMER base known as "The Sanctorum", Dr. Stephen Strange watched as his top agent, Dane Whitman: Codename "Black Knight" was engaging in his regular excercises in their elite training room, The "Eye".

"I'd say that he's just about ready. Eager to steal him away already eh, Nicky?"

"Considering what's been going down lately, I'm going to need to increase the ranks of the Ultimates sooner rather than later, Stephen. Not to mention it's a matter of Nat--"

"National Security blah blah blah... I know, Nick. I was merely yanking your chain. I'll tell him to report to the Triskelion as soon as possible."

"Yeah. And don't try and pull anything, Strange... Or I swear--"

"Never do, Nick."

Just as Dane's Ebony Blade had finish slicing through one of the last training drones, the Doctor's voice boomed over the microphone.

"Agent Whitman. General Fury of SHIELD gave me orders to have you report to the Triskelion immediately."

After Strange finished speaking, the Knight placed his sword gently on his shoulder as he sighed. As much as he didn't want to leave HAMMER, he couldn't disobey a person like Nick Fury. So he figured he didn't have a choice.

"Well... it was fun while it lasted." He mumbled as he sheathed the Ebony Blade and made his way for the nearest Sanctorum exit.

Is the character a hero, a villain, or walking the line?: Walking the Line. He's not affiliated with anything at the moment.

The big question - Why this character?: He's always been a favorite of mine, and it'll be fun to explore his fate without having Ultimates 2 in the future.

Brief background information of the character: Hank is a brilliant, but mentally fragile scientist. After experimenting on the blood of his wife Janet Pym (The Wasp), Hank was able to develop the Giant Man serum which allowed him to grow to 59 feet and 11 inches. The same research later allowed him to become Ant-Man, in which he would use his cybernetic helmet to manipulate ants at a reduced height.

Hank has always been prone to domestic violence. He has had several moments of abuse of Janet, eventually leading him to be kicked off the Ultimates.

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: Able to perform a height multiplication to 59 feet and 11 inches due to an injected serum of his own invention and design. Very intelligent, but potentially mentally unstable.

What can you bring to this game?: An intriguing and deep storyline about a man who doesn't feel adequate in his life.

"Weeks ago I had felt at the top of the world. It was great, I mean I was part of a superhuman team operated by the United States. How much cooler can you get?"

Hank Pym shifted in the old flower-patterned chair, careful not to hit his injured arm. Though the pain could be intense if positioned incorrectly, Hank found that his wounds from Steve Rogers, or Captain America as the country recognizes him, were beginning to heal.

His daily energy was increasing, and he didn't continuously have to rely on his Aunt Grace to grab things for him in the kitchen.

"Then it all came crumbling down. Here I am in Wisconsin, hiding my face because I'm too ashamed to show it. I should be ashamed to show it after what I did - who I hurt. I lost Jan because I'm a stupid jackass. She was right on the phone. What she said, I mean you heard it."

Hank slowly placed the phone down on the wooden coffee table. Janet had treated him justly in their conversation.

"I don't know the meaning of the word civilized. I'm a disgrace, Giant Man was a failure. My marriage was a failure. I'm a failure."

The cat purred as it brushed against Hank's leg.

He reached down and petted it as it's tail stretched out in joy.

"Yeah, thanks for the pity cat, but that's not going to help me now."

The big question - Why this character?: Hawkeye's a favorite of mine. Wanted to apply for him when the Ultimates were picking up heat, but opted out when Op still was on board for playing him. So now he's free, I'm going for it.

Brief background information of the character:A former Olympic archer, Clint Barton became a U.S. intelligence agent over a decade ago. Active around the world, he was present for the liberations of Kosovo and Afghanistan, as well as the fall of the Berlin Wall.

He became a close friend and frequent colleague of fellow agent Nick Fury, and the two operatives were key founders of the modern intelligence agency S.H.I.E.L.D. Both rose through the ranks until Fury became the agency's director and Barton (code-named Hawkeye) became an elite agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s black ops division, often partnered with ex-KGB espionage legend Natasha Romanov. Despite his dangerous, globe-spanning profession, Barton managed to build a more stable family life than most of his peers, residing for years with his girlfriend Laura (who recently became his wife), with whom he had three children: Callum, Lewis and baby Nicole, named after her godfather, Nick Fury. Hawkeye habitually phoned his family before every mission to say good-bye, just in case he never returned. He always returned, even after a mission which pitted him, Romanov, and their support team against two office buildings full of extraterrestrial Chitauri sleeper agents. Most of their team died, but Hawkeye, the Widow and a handful of others survived, wiping out the Chitauri sleepers in the process.

Shortly thereafter, Hawkeye and the Widow were promoted to membership in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new celebrity superhero team, the Ultimates, complete with newly falsified backgrounds to make them more acceptable public figures. When the Ultimates thwarted a Chitauri plot to destroy Earth, thanks in part to unwitting assistance from the monstrous Hulk, it was a wounded Hawkeye who managed to bring down the rampaging Hulk once the aliens were defeated.

Hawkeye is a master archer with extraordinarily fast reflexes, exceptional dexterity and near-perfect aim. He is also an excellent all-around marksman well versed in conventional firearms, and has an uncanny knack for using miscellaneous hand-held objects as projectile weapons. Hawkeye is a veteran espionage operative, a formidable physical combatant, and an experienced fighter pilot.

Hawkeye's arsenal is composed of some of the most advanced munitions on the planet. His preferences being his wide array of bows and "Tech-Arrows", as well as crossbows and other arms such as guns.

As much as he didn't want to leave her and his children, Clinton Barton looked down as the pair stood next to their bed, confirming her conclusion.

Clint grabbed the remote from his nightstand and switched on their television to find the news already being viewed. More specifically footage of the rubble that used to be the nation's capital. Footage that compelled him to be alongside his team as they fight the people responsible...

"It's fine. Go. Go find who did this..."

"Tell the kids I love 'em."

"I love you too, Clint. Come back in one piece."

"Always do." He responded as he smiled, kissing his beautiful wife's forehead.

Has this character appeared in the Ultimate comic books? If not, how will you 'Ultimatize' him or her?: Yep Ultimates Vol. 1, 2, and (ugh)3. Also appeared in various issues of Ultimate X-Men.

Is the character a hero, a villain, or walking the line?: Hero

The big question - Why this character?: Its actually quite simple. The game needs more Ultimates and Quicksilver seemed like a better choice than any.

Brief background information of the character: Pietro's power is that of superspeed. He was shunned by his father due to the fact that his mother was human. Quicksilver desperately tried to please his father, but nothing he did ever seemed to be enough. Magneto even went as far as to call Quicksilver's mutation effeminate. Finally, Cyclops told Pietro that he should stand on his own feet rather than trying to please his father. During Magneto's attack on the White House, Pietro removed his father's helmet, the only thing protecting the Master of Magnetism from Xavier's telepathic attacks. Xavier was then able to stop Magneto and seemingly destroy him.

With his father gone, Pietro assumed leadership of the Brotherhood. Due to Wolverine's request, Pietro led an attack to liberate the prisoners of Weapon X. Afterwards, the Brotherhood began to fall apart as Pietro started a more politically-minded agenda, partially due the influence of conversations with "Uncle" Charles Xavier. Among other things, the Brotherhood liberated the animal evolutionaries from a laboratory, and disarmed counties with nuclear weapons. One of the animal evolutionaries, Prosimian, grew irritated with Quicksilver's tactics. When Blob discovered that Magneto was still alive, Prosimian did not hesitate to find Erik and return his memory. Quicksilver and his sister the Scarlet Witch sought sanctuary with the Ultimates. Nevertheless, Magneto attacked them and shot out Quicksilver's kneecap with a gun.

Quicksilver apparently recovered within a few weeks, thanks to his accelerated metabolism, but still runs with a very slight limp. He has refused to visit his father, though Magneto is being held in the Triskelion itself (Ultimates HQ).

"Are you kidding me? There was nothing remotely scary in the whole movie!"

"Please my dear like I'm going to be afraid of a simple jump scare. Rather disappointing movie considering how very little quality time we have to spend together."

Wanda smiles as she cuddles closer to her sibling resting her head on his shoulder. To anyone in the crowd around them they would seem more like a loving couple instead of brother and sister.

"Fine next time you pick the movie. But please not another independent film. I could barely keep my eyes open during the last one."

Wanda playfully nudges Pietro's side as they turn the corner onto Times Square. Pietro finally gives in to his sister's infectious mood and cracks a smile.

"So where shall we go to eat? To be honest I'd rather just grab some take-out instead of going anywhere considerably fancy."

Pietro opens his mouth to respond but is swiftly cut off by the loud beep of the familiar comm link.

"I fear I'll have to give you a rein check on dinner my dear."

"Time to go save the world...."

Has this character appeared in the Ultimate comic books? If not, how will you 'Ultimatize' him or her?: Tony is one of the founding members of the Ultimates, and as such appeared in The Ultimates Volume 1. He was also featured in two miniseries detailing his origin.

Is the character a hero, a villain, or walking the line?: He's a hero.

The big question - Why this character?: I've never understood why Iron Man was always considered a second-tier character, but I'm glad that the Iron Man movie propelled him to a more prominent status. Especially in today's world where heroes aren't quite as heroic as they used to be, a drinking, gambling, womanizing arms dealer with a heart of gold is quite an interesting case study.

Brief background information of the character: Antonio Stark is the child of two prominent figures, billionaire industrialist Howard Stark and brilliant scientist Maria Cerrerra. As a result of a lab accident, Maria is exposed to a regenerative virus, which the fetal Tony inherits. The virus kills Maria, but not before she can deliver Tony - who is born with neural tissue expanding across his body. In an effort to save his son, Howard Stark uses an experimental bio-armor which protects Tony's sensitive skin.

Howard would later be murdered by Obidiah Stane, one of his business rivals. This left an orphaned Tony to take control of Stark Industries. While Tony delved deeper into alcoholism and womanizing, Start Industries became the cutting edge of technology and arms manufacturing in the world. After discovering he had an incurable brain tumor, Tony decided to make up for his mistakes and use his resources to save the world as Iron Man.

Powers, abilities, and noteworthy equipment: The excess of neural tissue across Tony's body makes him unmeasurably intelligent, but it also comes with the drawback of making his body hyper-sensitive to pain. His tissue regenerates very quickly, though, giving Tony a sort of "healing factor." As for noteworthy equipment, well, Tony pretty much has it all. I suppose the most obvious thing to mention are the numerous Iron Man suits that Tony has designed for a variety of occasions.

What can you bring to this game?: Well, it's been a while, so I can't quite tell you how much gas is left in the tank. However, I'm taking it slow, and I'm going to dedicate as much time and energy as I can to the few characters I do have.

My eyes are starting to hurt. How long have I been up? Check the clock. 4:37 AM. Hmm. Didn't think it was that late. Oh well. There's still work to do. I reach for my coffee cup, accidentally shuffling schematics and papers on my desk. I don't take my eyes off the holographic screen. I bring the cup to my lips and take a sip.

"Ugh," I groan as the coffee touches my lips. I look down into the cup of hot, black liquid. "Needs something," I mutter to myself. I pat my legs, searching for a familiar object. I find it in my pant pocket. A flask. I unscrew the cap and pour a considerable amount of its contents into the coffee. I then replace the cap and toss the nearly-empty flask aside. I take another sip.

"Better."

I turn my attention back to the holographic screen. A three-dimensional rendering of my current Iron Man armor rotates silently before me. I tap the screen once, freezing the suit in place. With another tap, I zoom in on the suit's power core. The screen illuminates my face as the only source of light in my darkened office.

"Losing power somewhere," I remark to no-one in particular. "Need to be more efficient." I tap the screen, and the model returns to its original zoom, rotating once more. I pull up a menu listing all the suit's specification. I frown. "Let's see what we've got."

Weapons. Ha. Can't afford to sacrifice any power there.

Flight. I suppose I could lower maximum speed, but where's the fun in that? Note to self: investigate further methods of making suit aerodynamic.

What else?

Defense and shielding.

I lean back in my chair, gently rubbing the growing stubble on my cheek. "Well, they always did say that the best defense is a good offense..."
