A bad tv show, a bad superhero (if that's what you want to call him) and a terrible, one trick pony actor, means a bomb of a movie. Thoughts?

Just because the tv show sucked, doesn't mean the film will suck. The quality of the tv show has nothing to do with how the quality will be for the film.
Seth Rogen a one trick pony? Not really. The guy pretty much showed in Observe and Report that he can do a different type of role than a stoner. Again, in Funny People he played a much more serious role. He can branch out. He has shown a few times now that he can carry the lead role.
Bomb of a movie? I doubt it will. Rogen pulls in the crowd. Most of the flicks he has been in made a nice amount at the Box Office, minus Zach & Miri. This is also a superhero flick, so as you know yourself, they pull in the money.
Also, there is a thread about this already

Dacman, are you a kid or something? Jesus.
First off: Green Hornet is not lame but I do have to say that the character doesn't have the longevity that other characters have. And yes, by most counts, he's a superhero, or a proto super hero like The Shadow or The Phantom. Either way, he has merit
Secondly, Seth Rogen is getting too much hate from close minded people. If Bill Murray and Chevy Chase started their careers during the internet age, people would trash talk them.
Third, the movie is not even out nor is a trailer, how do we know it'll bomb. DO I HAVE TO REMIND PEOPLE that Michel Gondry is behind this? If the movie's a mess, at least it'll be a beautiful and imaginative mess.

Woah, Woah, Woah.
The TV series was bad?
Not in my eyes. I loved it when I caught reruns when I was a kid, and I seen all of it a few years back and liked it a lot. The radio episodes were great too.
GH is a classic pulp character just like The Shadow, The Phantom, The Sandman, Doc Savage, and The Spirit. So if you don't like him, then that era of heroes just might not be your bag. All those characters got movies too(Except Sandman) and they were all pretty bad. So maybe GH will change that.
And Rogen's a big draw, so if anything, people will pay to at least see him.
Id rather get this than that new "Phantom" abortion SyFy is pushing.
And let's not forget another about comedic actor turned superhero: MICHAEL KEATON.
People *****ed then about his casting as Batman too. Maybe Rogen will pull a Keaton.
Whether it's good or bad I believe the movie will make money. It stars a big comedy actor, a hot female lead, action and explosions. If anything, the brainless Michael Bayinites will pay to see it.
After Transformers 2 got a standing applause in my theater, it occurred to me moviegoers will eat up anything.

Keaton sucked as Batman. That's a bad example.
