Pattinson is a great actor despite the Twilight movies(he's fine in them honestly, it's the writing that's horrid).
Go watch Little Ashes to rinse your eyes of him in Twilight.
I agree.
Is that the one where he plays Dali?

25th Hour is Spike Lee's best film.

There was never a point I could remember where a lot of people liked Spider-Man, especially to the point of risking they're own safety to distract the Green Goblin, actually keep his secret after being unmasked, or cheer for him when he came to fight the Sandman and Venom. Hell, in the case of the latter, most of them would have been like, 'Oh my God, Spider-Man's here too! That menace.'

He has had an occasional point when non-superpowered, non-hero humans have expressed admiration for him, but it's pretty few and far between. The majority of people think he's a villain, the cops mostly hate him, the media really hates him. In the MU, that's how it's always been to some degree outside a few exceptions.
And I usually love it when people stick up for Spidey, but yeah, way too many people liked him in the movies.

I didn't like Keaton's Batman, it just felt like one of Burton's signature freaks. He's different from everyone else and likes to act like a bat for the Hell of it as opposed to having a vendetta on crime.
Couldn't disagree more. He is the only live action Batman that has managed to convince me that crimefighting is his life. Yes, even moreso than Bale.

Other than physicality, Keaton's Bruce is pretty close to the comics. Although I disagree with Burton and Ham's notion of him starting out as insane. But other than that, the portrayal is accurate.

I'd like to see Zac Efron branch himself out more. Like in a completely transformed role. Shaved head or mohawk or dreds who is barely unrecognizeable. Like a drug addict or something. I think the guy has talent, he just needs to get away from having that image. He could be the next Brad Pitt for all we know.
Why not. Who knows? I don't care at all for the Twilight Movies but I think Robert Pattinson could be interesting. With the right material of course and under the guidance of a strong director.

I want both of them to branch out and be successful. Personally I think Pattinson's screwed so I have more faith in Efron. He needs to get together with a great director and doesn't need to take a Nicholas Sparks film :csad:.

He needs his "Departed".

I'm not remotely offended or negatively effected by the fact that Will Smith is putting his kids in movies. I'll just not watch them.

Me neither. I dont mind his kids. Whip My Hair is fun and catchy to me. I just wish they would do something original and not do remakes. But even if they do I just wont see them. I didnt see The Karate Kid and I probably wont see this Annie remake if it ever comes around

I do wish Will will do something other than sequels though. The only sequel I want to see from him is Bad Boys 3

and Im already like Efron. I thought he was really funny in 17 again. He does need that role like Charlize Theron had with Monster where he transforms. ANd I hope Pattinson's career goes far, after appearing in Twilight he deserves that especially since he takes himself seriously

I thought Prince of Persia was a straight up piss take on Aladdin. Then I found it was a video game series. Either way, the movie was boring.

He has that Cosmopolis movie with David Cronenberg, that will be interesting to see.
I haven't seen any movie with him besides GoF but I think he has the ability to give a good performance under the right direction.

Besides Rapace, I didn't like it that much either. I think Fincher might really improve on it and I like Rooney Mara's look so far.

I don't really have a problem with nepotism as long as the family members have talent and something to bring to the table (See Jeff Bridges, Michael Douglas etc...)
Of course I think it's probably too early to tell for the Smith kids though.

I think that maybe Pattinson could play a Bond villain. He can have that creepy dandy vibe that could play well against Craig's (if he comes back as Bond. *crosses fingers*)more brutal take on 007.

Well, I guess that depends on where you look.

True, but he definitely fits the fixation and obsession that Bruce has.

I love his awkwardness in the first film. Bale's Bruce puts on the act of a baffoon while Keaton is just plain awkward and not comfortable around others. I think both fit very well. I just like to think since Batman is new in Gotham in B89, Bruce has just come back from being gone for years. He doesn't fit back into society very well at first.

In BR you see a much more confident Bruce. Other than him being dumbstruck by Selina (who wouldn't if they saw her walking in?) he stood up to Shrek and bagged Selina pretty easily once they were trying to figure eachother out. Then him trying to save Selina at the end of BR. He was probably like that once, but managed to get away from that (contradictions aside) so when he was reaching out to Selina, he meant it. She's probably the closest to understanding him as he was to her in a strange way.

It's very fascinating.

His new film Water for Elephants looks terrific.

And I also quite liked Little Ashes. I think Pattinson has a bright future. He reminds me of Johnny Depp with Twilight being the equivalent of Depp's 21 Jump Street.

I didn't either , it was decent but I wasn't into the story. I'll only see the remake because Fincher is doing it.

The film on the other hand, was Oscar worthy and Titanic stole it.
