Please, let's not sensationalize and generalize people because of their occupation. Wayne's done some outright moronic things, but a year in jail for this is beyond ludicrous.

Ultimately, what Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to amounts to him being able to have access to a gun. Police did not find a weapon on the rapper when his tour bus was searched. Rather, the gun — registered to his manager — was in a bag located near the rapper, hence the attempted charge.

I don't care if you're a rapper or a civilian. A year in the pen for being near a legally registered gun? :funny:

No you won't. He worked nonstop before he went in to make sure there was enough material to release while he is incarcerated. Hell, you might even see MORE of him while locked up.
