They should illustrate that Thor is the most powerful warrior in Asgard the way they did in the comics: Have big battles between the gods and giants and have all the "normal" gods be struggling, then have Thor show up and rout the enemy forces practically single-handed. It'd be a good way of playing up Thor's pre-banishment arrogance if he acts like he knows the battles would've been lost without him and is a big jerk about it, too.

they have to be smart about it tho you dont want to get too ridiculous and make it seem unrealistic even tho it is Thor lol

Yeah, knocking over a frost giant would be solid. I'm hoping we get some Ages of Thunder-style battles with frost giants that are vicious and bloody. I want to see Mjolnir pop through at least one giant's head like we saw in that series. :hehe:

Who's doing the FX? I wouldn't mind seeing a really kinetic fighting sequence with him soaring amongst the giants, punching one here, hammer thrown at another one there, giants falling all around him while buckets of rain and lightning are coming down all over.

How bout if Thor walks up to a frost giant and the giant says something like. "Is that all you got?"
Then Thor kicks him in the chest, sending the giant flying like 45ft. (no 46ft.) into a tree breaking all his bones!

Ok, ok how bout they have Jane Foster like die somehow Then Thor can get like uber p-i-s-s-ed off. And he could swing his hammer like rEALy fast so he circles the earth real fast until it slows down then goes the other way. Then we could see like Foster un-die. Then Thor can land, and she could say, "where have you been"
The Thor could smile and wink at the camera! I mean for the end of the movie!

That was dumb even back in the '70s when Superman did it. I usually just stop before that bit whenever I watch that movie now. :oldrazz:

Not quite sure on Thor's strength levels, but believe he is somewere around a pissed off Hulk level, so hopefully we see him doing something that showcases this strength.

Agreed with everything here.
I can see a couple Asgardians battling with a frost giant, being bashed around a bit. Then Thor bounds past them and backhands the giant into a nearby mountainside with a massive smirk on his face, saying "and where would Asgard be if I could NOT be everywhere on the battlefield???"
Odin overhearing that should get him pretty steamed up :hehe:!

Instead of him spinning back in time.. just have a Superman cameo and have Thor easily dominate in a fight between the two.

Thor is one of the few non-gamma-irradiated people in the Marvel Universe who can take on the Hulk. The Thing and Juggarnaut are the only two others I can think of now. But, this is before Hulk get mad and his strength increases. The Hulk can easily lift somewhere in the 100 ton range in his more calm form. So, Thor should be able to lift around the same, maybe a little less.

Nope, Thor is actually stronger than Hulk(when not enraged) in fact, he may be MUCH stronger than a non-enraged Hulk. When he disabled Juggs force-field, he beat the snot out of him. As far as lifting? i dont think anyone besides Hulk has any feats even approaching Thor(he recently lifted Asgard)

Feats of strength in the Thor movie? I'm hoping Kenneth Branagh did his homework on Thor.
Like to see a fight sequence between Thor and say, a frost giant of immense size, that causes earthquakes that cause structures to come crumbling to the ground.
Would like to see Thor lift an object overhead of astronomical size...with ease...or better yet...to shatter that same object with one blow.
My hope is that the Thor movie raises the bar of big screen feats of strength to an entirely new level.

The Class 100 does not mean they are limited to 100 tons. It is just a scale. The Hulk almost always ends up defeating Thor because it ends up being mostly just a physical brawl.
Thor should be the strongest by far of any of the Asgardians.

If Thing's on your list then you have to include Hercules and my boy Colossus:

I would like to see a huge brawl between Loki and Thor and Thor beating the **** out of him or maybe even kill him but Loki just keeps coming back alive in a new body with no scratch on him.

Nawww, Thor should lift an entire continent which is composed of whatever his natural weakness(science, modern english, rubber hammers, etc.) is and send it into space.

In the Norse Gods Mythology books I once read, there's this story where Thor makes a wadger with a Giant and after having defeated all the Giant had thrown at him, there was one last bet: Thor was a heavy drinker so the challenge was for him to drink whine from a cup as big as a tower. Thor laughed it off and said that would be easy. So he started drinking...and drinking...and drinking. After weeks of still being at it, a sorceress passed him by, laughing and amazed at the same time by what she was seeing. Thor was annoyed but she said to him that before the challenge was answered, the Giant came to her for her to cast a spell on Thor so that he wouldn't completly see what he was doing. She removed the spell and that's when Thor realised he wasn't reading whine from a giant cup, but it's the whole sea he was drinking!
