I thought that a small cameo or even just a metion of everyones favourite hairy canadian would be cool touch. what does everyone think? would it even be possible from a legal standpoint?

how many times must this be covered, it ain't gonna happen. Unless fox will allow it, but they won't. And Marvel doesn't want it cause they'll have to conform to the casting choices made by fox for the x-men franchise.

i thought that if FOX wouldn't allow it then they just mention him in passing without directly refering to him. For example, a high ranking oficer mentions that the canadian soldiers were led up the beaches in normandy by an apparently bulletproof soldier. no mention of names but a little nod to the fans

yea like steve mentioned due to xmen/mutants still being controlled by fox studios and marvel as of right now only holding the rights to cap/ironman/hulk/thor and a few others. Only the characters under the marvel studios production banner can be cameos or mentions in the marvel studio films.
