good point. Although I think her boobs are big enough for the role, her looks aren't. I may have voted too soon on this one.

Also a good point. But in fairness the omens suggest she will play more than just the villain's daughter. All the scuttlebutt so far has been for one male and one female.

Ok I like Anne hathaway, but I will cry more than I have cried since Spidey 3 or X-Men 3 if she plays Felicia Hardy and becomes Vultress....I hope she is Valeria Toomes.

Not sure if I like Hathaway for that role, but news today via MovieScoop is that Hathaway's negotiations didn't work out and they are looking for another actress. We'll see if any of this comes true soon enough.

Interesting news. Unfortunately this thread will die quickly if true.

But here's a thought:

If this poll was identical, but instead of Hathaway, it was another actress (say Rachel McAdams fo example), would your answer be different?

I went with Black Cat with no relation to the Vulture seeing as Vulturess is a stupid name for a villain and we seriously don't need to make a legacy character out of The Vulture. Though I would be more then happy to have Anne Hathaway play nobody.

Though, I wouldn't mind her as Black Cat, to be quite honest.

I went for the Felicia Hardy to become Black Cat (no relation to Adrian Toomes) option, but that's only because any of the other options would be disastrous. I don’t think Anne is a particularly good fit for Felicia, but I’d rather have that than ... well, you know.

I’m not too worried though, I’m of the opinion that pretty much all the rumours from the past few days are bollocks; this Vulturess character will never appear on screen and that Anne Hathaway is not going to be in SPIDR-MAN 4.

I think anne hateway should play toomes daughter but then die in a tragic accident at the start the same accident that causes toomes to become the vulture and maybe have the microchip that controls the wings on the back of toomes neck fry giving them the power to control him o wait we did that already so I guess I agree with everyone that says no to anne hathaway and its nothing against her looks or her abilities as an actress I just don't think she cut out for a spiderman role

Felicia Hardy/Black Cat.

If you have Vulture doing his crimes because of a daughter it'll be Sandman all over again. Felicia should be the only villain/anti-hero whom should have the humanity-story going for her because she's doing the crimes because of her father in jail or because the mob has threatened they'd kill him.

Vulture should just be a thief and nothing more. Mysterio or Chameleon should be villains who want to punish Spider-Man, make him go through hell, possibly because they were thrown in jail earlier, but now have been released and ready for war. Shocker, Electro, and Rhino I would have as mob-created villains.

I'd rather they not merge an unknown alter ego with an established character... either make a new character or use Felicia/ Black Cat and tie her in with the Vulture... maybe make him the one who ran tests on Felicia instead of King Pin and tie in a bit of the Mangaverse where she gets maybe a simple cybernetic body part, like an arm, which she uses to aid her thievery and later wants to have her other hand done too

The only way I can imagine Anne in this upcoming movie is only by playing Valeria Toomes, but without becoming The Vulturess I hope, that would be truly ridiculous. She wouldn't fit as Felicia Hardy, Anne is more of a cute girl or so, plus she doesn't look good at all with blonde hair as I've already seen a pic of her in here.

I hope they change around Hardy's storyline. I wouldn't mind her as a confident businesswoman who and possibly her mother has taken over Oscorp and might kick Toomes out who replaced Osborne in the process. The Hardy's see him as too cunning and untrustworthy. Though I want something a bit more than a "you fired me so I'll kill you!" revenge story.

had a thought, on the whole Felicia Hardy in name only as Toomes daughter (if they were to go that route, not that I am saying they should)

what if, Toomes was a former criminal, who spent time in jail, where his was cellmates was Hardy

knowing Toomes was going to be release much earlier them himself, Hardy asks Toomes to watch over his family once he's out, in exchange for information about money and other hidden assets, from his past crimes (that the police never found)

Toomes uses this money as start up funds to build his company, and he keeps his promise about watching out for hardy’s family...
maybe, even marrying Felicia's mother, (making him Felicia’s step father)

and he takes Felicia in under his wing (no pun intended) as the father figure she never really had

but, then I was thinking, what if, this "Vultress" character (how ever she is used) is more of a transitional character, as the first step in the development of black cat, in that it’s her first taste of costumed villainism (or heroism, or whatever she end up being) that she later decides on pursuing further on her own, taking on a new persona as the Black Cat
(no longer wanting to associate herself with the vulture)

They don't really care much about the looks anyway. They need an A-List actress to reel in more viewers, and it shouldn't annoy the die-hard fans too much that they didn't get someone to look more-like the bc

Im actually going to vote Hathaway for Felicia/Black Cat.

She can fit the role just fine. Shes a great actress and her assets are pretty much perfect. And she looks super hot when all dolled up. Of course I dont think shes the greatest choice or the best looking, but next to Dunst's MJ, it isnt hot to be the hotter one.
