View Full Version : A Question of Dire Importance: Showers - Morning or Night?

Personally, I take them in the morning, feel cleaner putting on clean clothes, smell fresh like an Irish Spring. I understand how some would take them at night, especially if you get all sweaty during the day or something. Anyways, when do you take a shower, and what are the pro's and con's?

And I say ...is it too much to ask for both? :im:

I usually work out in the late evening and hopping in the bed while stinky would affect the limited sleep I get. Therefore, it's morning and night for me. I have to effect water conservation some other way.

I work nights so I need to shower up in the evening.

Morning for me. I do it so often that I'm at the point where I can't just get out of bed and go out and do something. I feel too dirty.

I've been thinking of doing the same, but do you find your skin to be more dry during the day?

I'm the exact same way, I wonder what the female Hype patrons feel. Because generally, from the ladies that i've spoken to in my life, they almost always take showers at nights.

I usually take showers in the morning. I feel a lot cleaner that way. However, I've been thinking about taking my showers before bed so I can get some extra sleep before I have to head out the door every morning. My morning schedule before work/school also depends heavily on me taking my showers within a certain amount of time, but sometimes I just get that euphoric "I never want to step out of this hot water" feeling (or maybe I just need to take a poo before my shower), and I end up spending too much time in the bathroom, making me late.

Yes, so I try to keep a steady supply of lotion around (preferably Vitamin E enhanced :awesome:). It's better in the warmer months. Anything in the climate going over a steady wind seems to intensify said ashiness.

Morning always. Keeps me fresh all day long and smelly all night. :)

Morning.

1) It wakes me up.
2) The hot water preps my face and neck for the morning shave.

I usually shower in the mornings but sometimes I don't feel like getting up early the next day so I might end up taking a shower the night before.

Night and morning. Showering at night helps me sleep better.

I usually do it in the morning, but I'm thinking about doing it at night after I work out.

Depends. What that depends on shall remain a mystery I'm afraid.

This.

Also, I can't take showers at night, because then I won't be able to go to sleep. Showers wake me up too much, and give me too much energy.

I prefer to shower in the morning. It helps wake me up and I feel cleaner.

Lying in bed all night after you showered means you're just rolling around in your own stink all night. And if there's someone else in the bed with you, well...let's not get into that funk.

Was about to post something like this but terry78 pretty much took the works out of my mouth.

I don't get why people shower at night. When I wake up in the morning a shower is pretty much the first thing I think of, get that grungy feeling gone as well as bed head(not that kind people :awesome:)

Shower in the morning to feel fresh during the day. Can't get into the showers at night.

I shower at night. I have to wake up at 5:30 AM anyway - I am not waking up any earlier than I have to! Plus I have really long, thick, curly, absolutely crazy hair so I have to tame it at night and let it flatten out while I sleep; when I wash my hair in the morning and let it air dry throughout the day I wind up with the ultimate 'fro. I use a bunch of lotions too and I don't want to go to school looking like a human slip n' slide.

I work shifts so it varies.

Generally I'd prefer nights, and of course in the summer 2 or 3 times.
