Inception, the new movie from Chris Nolan. Yesterday the new trailer was released, and when i see it, i remember The Dark Knight.

Watch it...

0:31 - DiCaprio´s profile shot = Batman standingand looking at the city in TDK.
0:35 - Is this kitchen the same kitchen when Joker breaks up the mob reunion at TDK?
0:46 - "Welcome at Hong Kong, Mr.Fox"

And some other things that you must found! :)

Cool trailer. I'm definitely going to see that.

Nolan is taking on the Cyberpunk genre. I'm all ears for it. Especially since he is a huge fan of cyberpunk in general, he sorta tried to give Begins a cyberpunky look. Now, at last, he is fully diving in into it. I'm sure it's going to be great.

Looks good. Now maybe he can concentrate on getting B3 going. Not immediately, but soon.

I actually have to say that I couldn't care less for a batman 3 right now. maybe it's just me, but I enjoy nolan's non-batman related stuff much much more.

I'd like another batman film (and be first in line), but i dont think, after (fantastic) TDk it is needed/ However, Nolan is not a "Batman director" - he is a director, and a very good one. It's poor form to say here, but i imagine his best work will ultimately be a non batman film.

Nolan is a great storyteller, especially when it is of his own creation. I am really looking forward to this film and what new crazy twists he has in store for us..

PS. WB is definitely playing up the "director of The Dark Knight" angle on all these posters and trailers for INCEPTION. But who can blame them?

^^^when movies are a success, studios do that. it happens all the time. like with "avatar", it's being advertised as "by the director of 'Titanic', 'Terminator 2', and (something else, i can't remember)".

nothing new.

It's not the first time. When The Prestige came out they advertised it with From the director of Batman Begins and Memento. This is common practice for most movies... it definately does help boost an audience.

except for M. Night Shayamalan, why anyone would wanna go see a movie advertised as his is beyond me. Village, Happening, suck city. He did 6th Sense and that's one of the most overrated movies ever. Everything else has been average, but mostly on the suck side of things.

This intrigues me and kinda reinforces my thought that Nolan and crew are way closer to 3atman (not me) than we think.

This looks good. I hope it does well.
And I hope his attention is now focused squarely on the 3rd chapter in his Batman story...

Looks incredible. Unless Nolan has already been thinking of some good stories I don't want him rushing into BB3 right after this. I want him to take his time. The last need we need is a mediocre third film and for fanboys to suddenly go completely turncoat on him like they already did with Raimi.

That won't begin until Inception is over and done with. We're still nearly half a year away from its release.

Spider-Man 3 sucked. I'm sorry, but it did.

Yes it was disappointing. But what I'm talking about is how there wasn't even this much complaining about the franchise until after SM3 came out. After the first two just about the entire fanbase was kissing Raimi's ass and were begging him to come back for a third and we then find out it wasn't on par with the other two, the same people turn on him and start acting like he's another Uwe Boll. This is one of the most hyprocritical things I've ever seen.

Nolan's another guy who's made a string of quality films. Now that he's really hitting it big, if the third Batman film, is mediocre/sub-par, rabid fanboys will go completely turncoat. Even those who are worshiping him and saying he should direct every comic book film now. If he ever misses the mark, watch how many "Christopher Nolan Sucks!" and "He never made any good movies" posts will pop up. Count on it.

Yes. Bale was getting collective geek blow jobs before the Dark Knight, now he is getting unfairly raped in the arse by the same people.

Kind of selfish of you guys to only care about his Batman franchise, and not give any real thought on his original movies.
If his life revolves around your demands, the Batman movies would come out horribly.
Patience is a virtue.
What does it mater if he makes a new Batman movie when you guys don’t have the discipline to not spoil the movie to yourselves?

The voice. None of us could have foreseen that voice :csad:.

And I kinda think the uproar over his voice in TDK is way overblown.

This is a Batman film message board. Not a Christopher Nolan message board. The subjects discussed here are going to be geared toward his Batman films. See how that works?

I love Christopher Nolan. Inception looks amazing! We get this summer treat and then it's on to working on 3atman! Just love it...favorite director for sure.
