It's the 50's and a WW2 vet turned cop is a good and honest going man, being one of 5 other law enforcement officials in his small town of 500. He lives in the town where everyone knows everything about each other. The murder of a teenage girl is the first real big crime in the town and takes the town by storm, splitting the town in half and leaving the cop finding himself obsessed with finding the killer. Through-out the story he's conflicted with personal demons and his marriage that's falling apart. His only son left and moved across the US to peruse a career in law (but really to just leave the town behind).

I know the idea is cliche but I really like it.

I got the idea completely off the song "handcuffs" by brand new. It all hit me at once. :up:

A little bit yes among other things. It will take a while to explain. It involves a bunch of things going in my life right now. One of my roomamtes is moving out and my other roommate is thinking of askin someone who I cant ****ing stand to move in with us.


I hate my job and want a new one. I bust my ass and go above and beyond becuase I don't have it in me to do otherwise and get nothing in return for it.The problem there is I don't know where I want to go. What I really need is just some time off not working for a bit. I have had a job, sometimes 2 or 3, for the last 10 years. I have also never been on vacation in just as long. I'm burnt out. I need a break.

I have lived at my new aprtment for 7 months now and none of my friends from the Bronx have come to vivist me. Their excuse? I live to far. I never complained about people being too far away when I had to travel hours and miles on end to make it to their housewarmings and parties. The worst part is half of them drive which makes it a 20 minute commute from where I used to live as opposed to the 2 hour train ride, which in all honestly is not bad at all. If I don't invite people over for some party of some nature no one comes to visit. Yet I get to enjoy the company of one of my roommates' loser friends who are at the house damn near everyday. Not to mention people dont even call me. I have 600 minutes on my phone and use all of 115 a month.

Tired of being single but lack the dating self esteem or know how to find myself a boyfriend. I'm no good at reading signals or the people that I'm attracted too are not into me or we end up in the rainbow land of friends.


Sometimes I really want to just pack my **** and disappear for a while.

The problem is, just cause you do something and go out of your way for people doesn't necessarily mean they would do the same for you.

Can't watch any videos at the moment :( I'm uploading two videos to youtube, so everything is super slow.

I'm moving into the city with my 2 friends, but were asking the landlord to hold the place until the 25th so we can pay him, but we might be paying him the rent this week or next week, and then the deposit the week after. Not sure what's happening yet, so I can to be careful with my money incase I suddenly have to fork it over. I wanted to see Youth in Revolt tomorrow :( Have you seen it?

How is that a bit much? Alot of studio's do this. Putting tickets for their newer movies in their older releases that are getting re-released.
I think I've only seen that once but you could only use the ticket in one cinema chain that I'd never heard of.

A special edition dvd of the original came out this past week and a free movie ticket to the new one is with it.

I might buy the single disc one to see the movie, then get the free ticket for the new one.

i love the old universal monster movies, back when we had chiller on DirectTV i watched and set timers or whatever for all of those movies, the ceature from the black lagoon, the creature walk among us etc
