One of the lowest Netflix plans is $8.99 per month. So you can probably get 7-8 dvds a month. Comparable to the kiosks that are like $1.00 for day.

I can hold off on not seeing a movie right away on the day of it's release. What I think is funny, is you are making fun of Netflix users for waiting a month to watch a movie (personally I never had to wait that long), when in essence for the most part they PASSED on the movie in the theater and are WAITING for it on DVD. Bluray definitely rules. I'm just so glad I bought a PS3. It's the ultimate multimedia system. I can play games, surf the web, play blurays and I heard that they will be putting out a system update that will allow for 3D viewing.

I don't even think I rented a dvd this month yet. I think the last dvd I rented New Moon. And I think that was back in March even.


I don't know, just call me old fashion when I like to go to a video store and browse around and then talk to the person working there. Plus I like to buy the pre used dvds. I can get a practically brand new dvd almost for either 7.99 or 3.99. all I have to do is wait 3 to 4 months. Depending on how well it rents. The last three I bought were from there for 3.99 each and they all came out in the year 2009.

I honestly don't think people care that much about it. Waiting another month is no big deal. I pass on seeing movies in theaters all the time. I can wait another month for a movie to come out on netflix. And I doubt people will riot over this. I have a PS3 but I use it for gaming only. As soon as I have the money I will buy a HD TV with a Blu-Ray for the family room. Once the 3D system update hits, I think I'll plug the PS3 to the family room's TV.

I hate fast food places and how they run.

i got one of my days taken away from me. I was barely making it with 15 hours a week, now only 10 for right now is bull.

And the owners excuse is bull also. Saying it was so. What does the guy expect the place to be packed 24 hours, just cause its open 24 hours?

Avatar breaking box office records shows that people will still go to the movies.

However, there are still other excuses of why people don't go to the movies.

Economy is still not great.

The cost of 2 people to the movies, with popcorn, soda and some sort of candy is what $25? Adding on ticket prices of $10 each. You're talking about a $45 night.

Also if it only takes 3 - 4 months for a movie to come out on DVD or blu-ray, why spend $20 when you can buy the DVD and own it for the same amount of money, 3 months later.

Lastly, a lot of teenagers make movie watching annoying. Cell phones and texting, talking, etc.

The matinees are 7.50 here, plus 2.50 for a all day bus pass. Plus like a buck for a drink that i sneak in and another buck for something from the dollar dollar to take in aswell. I've never been caught before.
