Adobe after effects could easily do that

can anyone explain to me how I do it in SOny vegas or in After Effects. Or at least tell me what exactly the effect is called so I can look up a tutorial

Quick example in After Effects (very rough)

Mask out the subject either my Rotoscoping or in CS5 the new Roto Brush tool, and add a CC Toner effect (greens)

Precomp the subject with the original video, add a mask around it, and add a glow effect

With abit more time and tweaking you could get it like it is in the video, this took me like 5mins todo.

Only downside to this method will be for each frame of the video you would have to adjust the rotoscoping mask to follow the subject around.

If you need any tutorials on After effects (basics or Advanced) goto http://www.videocopilot.net/ This guy knows his stuff, and has worked with JJ Abramas on his last few projects
