What do you want? Teaser trailer? Trailer? Interviews mixed with footage or just pure footage?

Hold your horses...

Rumors have come online that the upcoming Blu-ray of Clash of the Titans will have the first footage of Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern. This assumption is most likely due to an error on the Clash Blu-ray listing of the disc’s special features at the Warner Bros. Home Video website. Steve has spoken with two different sources on the matter and they’ve confirmed for us that Green Lantern footage will not be on Blu-ray or DVD for Clash of the Titans. Keep in mind, the listing only says, “Green Lantern Sneak Peek.” It could just as easily be a first look of one of the Warner Bros. animated Green Lantern movies. Whatever the case may be, our sources tell us that you won’t be seeing Ryan Reynolds as the DC Comics superhero if you pick up the Clash of the Titans Blu-ray or DVD. However, you have 100% chance of seeing Green Lantern footage at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Hit the jump to check out the erroneous listing. Clash of the Titans will hit stores on a Blu-ray+DVD+Digital Copy Combo Pack on July 27th. Green Lantern is slated to hit theaters on June 17, 2011.

Bruce Timm said Green Lantern animated movie wont have sequel or anything. So this speculation from Collider about sneak peek being an animated movie sounds weird...

dont you guys remember that a few weeks back there was a mention that their is an animated green lantern prequel like film in the works about alien green lanterns that could be set prior to campbell's live action film. Like that gotham knight film for batman.

yea i was just pointing out that we had that report awhile ago saying that a prequel alien gl animated film might have been in the works. But from what we heard from timm a few days ago it looks like i guess its not going to happen after all now. thought it would have been interesting to see what they had in store.

As long as I get to see some decent footage from Comic-Con, that should (hopefully) hold me over until the end of the year when the first official trailer should hit.

Bruce Timm has said that there is NO plans for another Animated Sequel or Prequel to First Flight. I say thank God because FF sucked.

GREEN LANTERN ANIMATED MOVIE?

http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/1003/18/glth.jpg (http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/1003/18/gl.htm)THURSDAY, MARCH 18, 2010

A Green Lantern animated project is in the works at Warner Bros. Animation, The Continuum has learned.

According to sources, it will be part of a direct-to-video project that will be timed for release of the live-action Green Lantern movie in the summer of 2011.
A representative of Warner Home Video said the studio will not comment on any film that hasn't been announced as in production.

According to sources, the *new Green Lantern animated project takes a look at the origins of the Green Lantern Corps, including the first ring wielders.

At Emerald City Comic-Con last weekend, DC Comics' Geoff Johns hinted at a *Green Lantern animated series, which would appear to be a different project.

http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/1003/18/index.htm

*Rumored to be ala halo legends/batman gotham knight/animatrix type of film, "Tales of the Green Lantern Corps."

*The rumored bruce timm produced cgi ala star wars clone wars GL animated series w/ Hal as the lead green lantern.

2ND POST:
* Bruce Timm's name was attached to it
* Animated in CGI ala Star Wars Clone Wars
* Set for Fourth Quarter 2011. If true, this matches how Batman: The Brave and The Bold debuted in a November, as well.
* Insider saw five minutes of footage of Hal Jordan in space.
* If true, more serious in tone than Batman: The Brave and The Bold and Michael Jelenic is also involved from an interview done months ago when he hinted at working on a new series.

^ i'm betting it's something like that too. no way it's gonna be a teaser trailer or anything major. and it'll probably be about 5 mins long at best. definitely not worth buying the dvd for... it'll be online quickly.

yea it would be great if its any footage from a scene/teaser for the film. But yea it could end up just being behind the scenes interviews and maybe a peak at character looks.

Did you get the Blu-Ray/DVD+Digital Copy combo pack? That's what the Shh article says it's contained in (the one that will be released July 27th after ComiCon).

Yeah...that's the one I have...still nothing...I've watched the entire blu-ray disc...every special feature, deleted scene, alternate ending, after the credits... I'm going to watch the movie in maximum movie mode now...

The only other place that this sneak peak/first look for Green Lantern could be would be in the 'bd live' content which I can not access just yet (WB has not set it up yet)...

I've never seen them mention what trailers for upcoming films will be in the video on the back. It's usually considered advertising.

Well, as it turns out this Collider article (http://www.collider.com/2010/04/29/will-the-clash-of-the-titans-blu-ray-have-green-lantern-movie-footage-no/) back in April debunks the rumors of a Green Lantern sneak peek in Clash of the Titans.

If they didn't even show the suit in the Green Lantern panel in motion, there's probably not a whole lot they can show here anyway.

To think about it, I'm sure at one point there WERE going to show the suit in motion but decided not to due to the reaction. Theory: They're retweaking the suit. Just like how they just retweaked the mask at the WB panel's banner.

dnno1
07-27-2010, 12:59 PM
I don't know how much they are going to retweak since they already have gone on record to say that it will still be green and black with no white gloves. What I really want to think is that they do not have enough footage (outside of what was shown at Comic-Con) developed to show something impressive.

Webhead2006
07-27-2010, 01:17 PM
well they will probably as we know fixing the mask up, and then as for the body making it more defined and probably bolding the green/black areas out.
