I know it's way too early for it, but I thought why not start a thread talking about merchandise for the new movie; at least until some pics or info pops up.

Judging by the pics alone, I think I may have to get a new Ratchet figure.

They need to redo a lot of figures, mainly Ratchet like you said, and Iron Hide. The last toy line had a lot of lame ass rehashes.

I have hope though, they finally made a new Voyager Prime with two swords, two guns, and a slimmer body, seen here: http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=13734&ss=as

SPider-T0rch

I'm hoping for a complete re-do of Ratchet, where it would basically be the mold of the deluxe class from the NEST line and make it a voyager class. I'm also hoping for many more Leader class figures.

As for deluxes, I'm betting there will be another Bumblebee that will be the exact same mold as the previous lines, so I won't be picking up another Bumblebee. I am looking foward to more Human Alliance figures. They can take away the human figures for all I care, but I love my HA Skids even though it isn't in scale with any of my other figures. Hopefully Hasbro can produce more HA figures

Yeah, more Leader Class figures would be nice. Shame the Fallen never got a Leader Class.

do you think they'll make a Shockwave leader class?

SPider-T0rch
07-07-2010, 02:06 PM
I think that depends on if his character is as important of a villain as Megatron and if he's fairly big. At the least, I'd expect a Voyager mold for Shockwave. I'd just really like to see more Leader figures because it sucks looking at my Fallen voyager figure standing next to Leader Class Prime.

There will be a LOT of set merchandise floating around already, because a lot of the crew gear, looks like it could just be official merchandise.. Like, it had pretty bad ass designs on them.. And a lot of them sell that stuff on set to people that didnt work for the crew.. so im sure it will be confused for actual merchandise once people start selling it online.

i hope the leader prime figure is the same as the one from part 2 but with minor changes, maybe give him a gun this time. I have ROTF leader class prime it is (with the exception of the part metal 20th anniversary editions) the best prime figure across the line ;).

It's gonna be torture not buying the figures when they're hot on the shelves. I've decided to wait for all repaints to come out before buying the ones I want.

I'm not digging some of the deluxes. The only voyagers I like are Skyhammer, Shockwave, and Megatron. The only figure I picked up was leader Sentinel Prime and I gotta say, he's pretty damn awesome. I didn't expect to like his mechtech weapon in firetruck mode as much as I do.

Colossal Spoons
05-17-2011, 02:37 AM
Skyhammer and Shockwave are def awesome; but I just know Sky will get a repaint.

This first wave of deluxes seem, Idk "smaller" than usual. Especialy Crankcase, easily the slimmest TF I've ever seen. And the 2 Nascars are just tiny.

Sentinel Prime >>> Jetfire

PyroChamber

If anything, I'd probably just get the leader Sentinel Prime, deluxe Laserbeak and the voyager Shockwave; and, if they make one, a new Soundwave.

I'm sure it's coming. I don't like the figure at all so I shan't be buying it. Besides the cripple-arm, ROTF Megs is my favorite so far.

Starscream got the Leader class upgrade last time so I think Shockwave will be the 2nd leader Decepticon. Making Bumblebee and Ironhide Leader class seemed unnecessary IMO. Ironhide's lower half is painted horribly:

Looking at it now, the voyager Ironhide does not look that great in scale next to Optimus. I hope the leader class Ironhide isn't too big though.

Overall, I don't think the DOTM line is gonna get much of my money this summer. I'm still looking forward to getting the Wreckers (I just got Roadbuster yesterday) and Skyhammer. Everything else so far in the line is either a "pass" or a "wait until clearance"

For some reason, that actually works for me scalewise. I always felt like all the voyager Ironhides weren't big enough. The leader class version looks a tad too big but I think it looks much better standing next to leader class OP than the voyager.

If Voyager Ironhide were just a few inches taller, it'd be great, but I really like the sculpt. I feel like the Leader Ironhide is a little too tall and the Voyager Ironhide is a little too short.

Probably being saved for a much later wave, unless all the waves have been revealed already.

Or maybe Hasbro couldn't get permission from Mercedes-Benz to produce a toy version of their vehicle?

It could be anything but I just hope for a new Soundwave since the ROTF Soundwave was utter crap.

Transformers 3 Album Track Listing Comes Together

By bwbm on Monday, May 23, 2011

ShareThis

With the Transformers Dark of the Moon album coming out in less than a month, the track listings for the soundtrack are finally coming together. Other than the news blitz we have heard about Linkin Park's track Iridescent, other artists on the soundtrack have been scant, until now.

In two separate updates, the bands Goo Goo Dolls and Art of Dying announced that they will be contributing the tracks "All That You Are" and "Get Thru This" to the soundtrack.

Art of Dying's update also unveiled that Staind, My Chemical Romance, Skillet, and Theory of a Deadman will also be contributing tracks.

The band Mastadon will also contribute a cover of ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid," reports Metal Storm.

The album's track listings, according to Metal Storm, are as follows:
01. Linkin Park - Iridescent
02. Paramore - Monster
03. My Chemical Romance - The Only Hope For Me Is You
04. Taking Back Sunday - Faith
05. Staind - The Bottom
06. Art Of Dying - Get Thru This
07. Goo Goo Dolls - All That you Are
08. Theory Of A Deadman - Head Above Water
09. Black Veil Brides - Set The World On Fire
10. Skillet - Alive & Awake (Remix)
11. Mastodon - Just Got Paid [ZZ Top cover]
The actual song by Skillet is titled "Awake & Alive" but the track title above is attributed to Metal Storm. The Album and Score will be out June 14, 2011.
Stay tuned to Tformers.com for more details as they are made available. Your best resource for all the Transformers news and community every day.

Are you kidding me? I :hrt::hrt::hrt: HASBRO for finally making a Leader Class Ironhide action figure!

These Leader Class action figures are by far the superior Transformer Movie based action figure: FACT!

I don't know why people want the tiny dinky 'deluxe' figures..they can't even interact with the G.I. Joe action figures or the Mutt figure from Indy...guess it's personal preference :) but hot damn do I love the Leader Class figures...they have weight and scale to them..they FEEL like you have these big ass robots in your hands you know? Without bein' too big..plus they are so movie accurate when you compare them to the Voyager figures. I don't understand why the Voyager Ironhide has a way bigger head than Optimus's tiny dinky ass head...and the articulation on Megatrons arms sucks..they are just poor figures and overpriced for what you get I find.

Either way, whatever like I said if ya like the other figures more power to ya, personally I think the Leader Class are so friggin' awesome!

I can't wait for the Ironhide...not sure why his legs are blue..this guy at work looked at it over my shoulder and he's like "Is that 'casual jeans Friday Transformer or what?"...I agree, but I'll get over it he just looks too cool. :woot:

P.s.--The Leader Class Starscream? How amazing are those pop up gattling guns and missles in his arms?...awesome.

Dave McFly

I agree with you but I only have Leader Class Prime and he is without a doubt the BEST Prime figure I have ever seen. he is SO well designed you cannot tell he transforms from a bad ass bot to a truck or vice versa. I had a friend who saw him on my desk with his swords displayed and he was like 'that is a bad as figure', I said 'watch this' and transformed him into a truck and he was like :wow:.

Oh 100% these Leader Class figures are the only way (Human Alliance Barricade and Jazz as well!) to go they rule and kick massive quantities of ass!

I really hope Hasbro makes more...kinda stinks they do like 2 every 8 months or more sometimes ..huge ****** delay between them.

It'd be awesome if we had Leader Class:
Blackout
Ratchet
Shockwave
Soundwave
Megatron (Dark of the Moon)
Optimus (Dark of the Moon)
Devestator
Fallen (...even though Revenge of the Fallen sucked monkey balls)

and...well..I'm probably missin' a whole bunch of characters AND some new ones I don't even know about in TF3 but...yeah, y'all get the point LoL

HASBRO MAKE MORE LEADER CLASS ACTION FIGURES!!!

*seriously..if someone who works at Hasbro is viewing this board and has any clout or pull WHATsoever? ...then make them!*

I was in Wal-Mart the other day and the only figure they had in leader class was bumblebee. I don't even collect figures but I am tempted to buy some of the movie Transfomer ( dark of the moon) figures to as collector items. Anyone have any idea on which one I should get first? Which ones are rare or collector item worthy?

I also saw those new masks they have for kids that I wish they had in adult sizes. They are masks in either Optimus or Bumblebee but it built in Real D 3D glasses. You know that glasses we get at the theater when you see a movie in 3D. Then they would charge us a extra 3.50 for the glasses. LoL but alas even if they had those in adult sizes I think a 23 year old dude like myself would even nerdier than I already am lol.

It'd be awesome if we had Leader Class:
Blackout
Ratchet
Shockwave
Soundwave
Megatron (Dark of the Moon)
Optimus (Dark of the Moon)
Devestator
Fallen (...even though Revenge of the Fallen sucked monkey balls)

There actually was a Devastator released for ROTF. Of course, he wasn't in scale with the others but he was still pretty huge.

yep! that's the Prime i was talking about up above....THAT is a definite bad-ass pick up when i see it!

also, for the first time saw the Leader-Class Ironhide at Wal-Mart...only one of him,and it seems Sentinel Prime is LONG gone....

lastly, looking for Shockwave? go to Wal-Mart....mine put out 2 big cube displays, and i counted at least 10 - 12 Shockwave's in there....

looks like the smaller prime with the trailer mainly cause of the truck's front wheels on the arms in robot mode like the smaller fig.

I've decided that outside of the new bots... I won't be buying "new version" of the ones I already have. I still think RotF Leader Prime is the best Prime outside of the 25th Anniversary Prime I have. Bumblebee (from RotF), Ironhide and Ratchet (from TF1) also seem good enough to keep on my shelf without the "upgrade."

I agree, I have both ROTF prime and the 1st issue of the 20th anniversary Prime (the one in the dark red and dark blue with all the chrome but I replaced the short stubby 'smokestacks' with the longer ones that were on the Takara one from Japan).

Agreed! ROTF Leader Prime is still an amazing toy, and one the best Autobot toys ever.

One of the new Bumblebees looks like it might be an improvement on the ROTF HA version though -- the one with the retractable hand-to-gun feature? I haven't seen it out of the box, so I'm not sure.

If I get anything from the Dark of the Moon release, it's going to be a leader-class Shockwave, assuming there will be one.

The Leaders tend to be awesome... but I'm SUCH a stickler for "correct scale" that I doubt I ever pick up any other Leader outside of the Leaders I have. I MAY upgrade to DotM Leader Megs once the price drops. I picked up Leader Megs from TF1 for like 15 bucks a few months after the movie came out on BluRay.

I'll probably just get Delux Shockwave.

As for the Bumblebee "arm to gun" model... if it is indeed an improvement I may very well pick it up.

yep! i'm the same way...only exception i'll make is if the toy/character sports a new look in this (i.e. Megatron)...only ROTF figures i got so far are :

Deluxe: Laserbeak,Crankcase,Roadbuster,Topspin,and Skids..
Voyager: Shockwave, Skyhammer, Megatron
Leader: Sentinel Prime

...saved WAY more money this time than i did last time....i perfectly fine with Ironhide,Ratchet, and Barricade from TF1, and Bumblebee,Starscream,Jolt,Sideswipe, and Optimus from TF2....

I have been a fan of Transformers for a few years now, but have just recently ventured into collecting. I wanted to ask which of the line of figures produced for DOTM is really worth picking up -- I am heading into Walmart tomorrow, before work, and would like to pick one up, but I have no experience in the matter, and want to pick up the best of current line, and then pick up the rest from the other film lines. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hey! Welcome to the collector's circle :P

Personally i bought all the main characters From TF1.

Delux
Bumblebee (the classic and the upgraded with the mask over his face)
Jazz
Barricade
Bonecrusher

Voyager
Rachet
Iron Hide (imho, better then Rotf and dotm)
Starscream (this is another figure you may be happier with the 2nd movie ver. but i wont upgrade.)

Leader
Megatron
Optimus

though since you have a choice, go with RotF for both, unless you want teh plane Megatron. Megatron is the only one i upgraded.

Brawl (lets face it.. hes a huge tank.. it works for him)

Revenge of the Fallen

Deluxe
Sideswipe (unless you want the DotM convertible... however i dont like the cheap plastic they used for the 3rd movie)
soundwave (but they may come out with version to match DotM)
Ravage (i only bought him recently and thats because i got laserbeak too... but hes not size accurate)
Rampage
Skidz
Mudflap

Voyager
Demolisher
Long Haul
Mixmaster
Fallen

Leader
Megatron (he looks screen accurate, and this is his tank form.)
Jetfire

Dark of the Moon

Deluxe
Crankcase
Topspin
Roadbuster
Laserbeak

Voyager
Shockwave

Leader
Sentinal Prime

In my opinion... Grab Iron Hide and Rachet from the first movie, and get who ever you can from Revenge of the Fallen. The plastic from the 3rd movie is different, the figures seem smaller, and they have these new weapons that really aren't needed.

You need the two from ROTF. Voyager and Recon. Recon is just a better figure, but the original ROTF voyager has better cannons.

DOTM leader class Ironhide is rigging awesome, too. Love having him on my shelf.

Any and all leader class you can find! They haven't cut the corners on these guys like the have the rest.

Don't bother with the Wreckers in deluxe class, as they are getting Human Alliance molds. While they run $30, they are way better.

If you come across any Reveal the Shield figures you like, grab them fast, as they are hard to find. Same goes for Generations figures.

Also, if you have a Marshall's or TJ Maxx, head on over. You can score some sweet deals there.

This really isn't related to the movie... but my old boss (whom I can not stand) found about 200 G1 Transformer toys at a yard sell... she bought ALL of them for 20 bucks.

She's now trying to whore them out for money (she even has a bloody Metroplex!) but according to one of my friends they're "ok" but obviously played with.

Drives me nuts! Mainly because whenever I go yard selling I don't find a thing outside of dinner jackets from the 1970's.....
